Historical area, beautiful and quiet neighborhood. Nice clean comfortable house for a short stay. One note: WiFi doesn’t work, the manager on the record is no longer in charge. Used my personal hotspot.

All good things. Well equipped. Nicely located for suburban Philly. Everything present and working as advertised.

We loved our brief stay at the property. The house feels warm and cozy. It was perfect to come back to after a busy I have to Alexa to Costco list Costco list day with family. I love the historic community. And we went for a long walk on the local trail.
The house was clean. We did not interact with the host as they had everything set up for easy access.
Be ready to climb some stairs and the shower is quite quirky. But we’d definitely stay there again.

The house said everything you could possibly need while you stay there. It is in a beautiful neighborhood very quiet. We really enjoyed our weekend there and it’s nice because you can bring your dog.

A good value and a location that fit my plans.
I wanted an area with the early American look and feel.

Staying here was a real treat! A great place especially for those seeking a blend of weddings and relaxation. We were in town for my sister's wedding and were so happy with the charm of this rental. Also, Chris was very responsive and accommodating to our two dogs! The rich history of the place made every stroll along the paths feel like a journey through time, especially knowing that George Washington once frequented the area. Being close to top-notch restaurants and bistros meant every meal was a delight. There was never a shortage of things to do. It truly was an unforgettable experience!

We think of the yellow springs house as our home away from home. We use it as a base to visit family and it was wonderful to return again this year. We love the location and the property and Chris/Alyssa are great hosts.

Magical yard
Great location. Comfortable beds but everything needed a good cleaning, not horrible, but lots of room for improvement. Also, no mention of so many stairs and uneven levels to each bedroom. Not great for older folks. But it worked and we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful historic location
So many nice surprises awaited us in this property and location. There were many extras supplied by the owner and interesting ways to find the correct way to access the locks, electrical outlets, television, and hallways. We enjoyed the challenges and the beautiful landscape, along with the lovely location.

Beautiful home away from home
We stayed with our dogs for the weekend and can’t say enough good things. The home is a gem of a property - the pictures simply don’t do it justice. Beautiful, clean, quiet, cozy, and stocked. And so magical at night with the trees all lit up outside. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again!

Lovely, quiet, property a bit worn
Overall, a very nice stay.
There were plenty of towels and extra bedding. The kitchen is well-equipped. The owner provides two inflatable mattresses, so it can sleep a few extra people. There's one queen bed that's fairly comfy, and a double bed in the second bedroom that's also fairly comfy.
There's a powder room on the first floor and a large bathroom on the second floor.
The road is very quiet, and there is a large yard for walking dogs, which are allowed. The neighborhood is very pretty. We walked every morning to Yellow Springs, an 18th century building down the street that's used for weddings now. It has a beautiful herb garden and is quite lovely.
My only complaint about this property is that it could use some updating. It was beautifully renovated likely in the early 1990s, but has not been substantially updated since then. It's perfectly fine, a very nice space that's larger that it appears in the photos. But the walls in the second bedroom have many cracks, and the paint is peeling in the upstairs bathroom. The property was very clean overall, but the mini-blinds and the two air conditioners were quite dusty. The air conditioners should be replaced, as they are noisy and don't cool the entire house. There's only one air conditioner on the second floor, in the main bedroom. It was very hot when we were there, and the house felt hot and damp.
The internet worked fine, and the Roku TV worked fine. The couch in the living room is comfy enough for watching movies, but the cushions were flattened. There's a nice eating area in the kitchen with a large table that was very pleasant for eating meals with our family. I didn't cook while there, but used the stove to heat up take-out meals. It worked fine, but it's very old and the oven is on the small side. The burners worked fine for heating water for tea. Coffee and tea were provided, which is a nice touch.
If you have mobility issues, you should know that the second floor has a step up to the master bedroom and a step up to the main bathroom off the main hall, which are difficult to see in the dark. I tripped a few times until I got used to them.

Cosy Home
My family of 3 and our dog enjoyed our stay. The house is located in picturesque countryside and not far from attractions we wished to visit. The house is very well stocked - one of the best I've seen in many rentals over the past few years. The surrounding landscaping is very pretty and well maintained. The beds and couch are comfortable.
However, it was very hot and humid when we rented and the AC was a problem. There is only one window unit on each floor. For AC to reach the second bedroom at all, it must be blasted in the main bedroom - making one room way too cold and the other barely cool. It is a bit easier on the first floor given the better ability for air to circulate. My second issue was with the cleanliness. The 2nd floor bathroom shower grout was black with mold in places. Similarly the outside of the kitchen cabinets were dusty and grimy, there were cobwebs in the corners of the windows. It felt like the place needed a really good deep clean. With a second AC unit on the second floor and a good cleaning it would have been perfect.

Great home in a charming setting
Cozy farm cottage in a quaint art community but accessible to any interests. The home could use some updates (tired furniture, networking/tv service) but was an enjoyable stay nonetheless.

Our stay for Philly Tournament
Historical home with a Beautiful yard and nice location for local restaurants. Our family of 4 with our dog stayed the weekend. Chris was very accommodating for our stay. The house is older but clean. There were not enough towels for 4 people. I expected it to be a little higher scale for the price we paid but it worked for the weekend.

Nature, quiet, perfect setting
We’ve rented before in the area and we were happy to be back, visiting family. The house was quite nice, sitting on the porch in the morning and listening to the birds, seeing deer walk by, and just enjoying the serenity was wonderful. The house had everything we needed and we will be back. Thank you!

Historic charm in a serene setting
We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. What a wonderful area, where much of the history has been preserved for all to learn about and enjoy!
The property was exactly as pictured, which was perfect for our family. The grounds were also just beautiful, and was an ideal setting for the kids to run and play and climb! We also loved being right next door to the library!! The area is also so peaceful and serene. Just a great property and location all around.

Better than expected
We arrived later than expected and the check-in process was easy. This house is larger than the reviews stated and with two bedrooms and high quality air mattresses provided, everyone slept well. The house if fully stocked with everything needed and the owner is very responsive. Great location in that the house is outside of the nearest downtown in a quite location but is close enough that everything is 10 minutes or less away. We have enjoyed our stay.

Philly Trip
The home was super cute and just what we needed. There are some repairs that are needed in the home and the reminders were left on the kitchen counter when we arrived. We hope that they are fixed soon so that the home will be available for others to stay.
