Convenient location and quiet area.

We enjoyed our time at the Montana Yellowstone Hideaway. Everything inside was clean and exactly what we expected. The water/shower smelt odd but not a big deal. The only real problem we had the whole time were some noisy little neighbors. Kids from an adjacent house were very loud one morning and throwing rocks at an elk that was passing through. Other than that, we loved staying minutes from the park entrance. We recommend if you’re looking to visit Yellowstone.

Wonderful place to stay! Eric was a great host. He answered all of our questions and helped us plan what to visit at Yellowstone. Our place was within a block of the north entrance. Made it so easy to get in and out if the park. We had a nice fully-stocked kitchen along with a separate living room and separate bedroom. It’s perfect!

Great place to stay just minutes outside the north entrance to Yellowstone. The living space has a nice futon and provided privacy for our third party for sleeping in addition to the bedroom.

First, let me say that Eric, the owner is outstanding! He is a Grizzly Bear Biologist in Yellowstone and offered so much advice for our trip (invaluable)! Second, the Hideaway was perfect as a base camp for all of our Yellowstone adventures. Extremely clean, well stoked and convenient to EVERYTHING! If we had to plan this trip again, we would have stayed here the entire time…we stayed a few days in West Yellowstone (1 block from the entrance) and sat in line to get into the park for over 45 minutes each day (even though we went early in the morning). The scenery in Gardiner was also so much better than West Yellowstone!
Don’t pass up your opportunity to stay here! You won’t regret it.

Our experience at the Hideaway was wonderful. The apartment was impeccably clean and welcoming. Its central location in town was a significant advantage. All in all, it was an immensely enjoyable stay. Additionally, the host went the extra mile by mailing us a pair of sunglasses that had been inadvertently left behind. We couldn't recommend it more highly!

From start to finish the owner, Eric, was so helpful & responsive to our questions. He is very knowledgeable about Yellowstone Park and provided us with suggestions & insight.
We enjoyed our stay, his hideaway apt. was very clean, quiet, as advertised, and comfortable. Bed was comfortable too. We were able to cook, lots of utensils for that. So conveniently located by the north entrance to get into the park each day.
Definitely recommend!!

Great little 1 bedroom apartment set up. 2nd room (Living room) has a futon for kids. Whatever kitchen appliances you need it’s most likely stocked. Collapsable cooler is available if needed.
Only a few blocks away from restaurants and laundromat. Would book with again

The apartment was very cozy and and we’ll stocked!! We only got to stay one night due to my husband’s unexpected health problem. Eric went over and above for us “out of towners” making sure we were comfortable in our time of need. I highly recommend his place and him! Thank you again, Eric!!

This unit exceeded my expectations, and Eric is a fantastic host. It was sparkling clean, with a well furnished full kitchen, a comfortable bed, plenty of room in the bathroom for personal items, and was very peaceful and quiet. It was great to meet Eric and chat about Yellowstone. I would definitely stay here again.

The property was clean and comfortable. It is located 5 minutes form the North entrance which is a good gateway into your Yellowstone experience. Eric is a great host. He is easy going, knowledgeable about the park, and easy to get a hold of. We hired a guide to see wild life, Mike Skeleton of Yellowstone Wonders. It made for a magical day. I highly recommend Mike as well.

June, just before the Flood
Note: We are lucky to have completed our visit to Gardiner and Yellowstone National Park before the recent record-breaking floods.
We are very happy that we chose to stay at the Hideaway after spending our first four nights in the park at Grant Village. The location is perfect for exploring the northern half of the park. It was nice to relax on the couch and rocker in the living room after a day in the park (much more comfortable than our Grant Village lodgings). The local grocery store was easy to find, so we were able to cut back on eating out in favor of meals "at home".
The hosts, Julie and Eric, are very friendly. We enjoyed our chats with them very much, and learned a bit about Yellowstone in the process. We also enjoyed the morning visits from the local elk mother/child duo!

Perfect place to stay for Yellowstone
This was a great spot to explore Yellowstone NP from. Comfortable, clean and quiet. Kitchen was well equipped and handy, especially because there was a grocery store in town. Bed was comfortable and linens top notch.
We did two days with a guide we highly recommend - Mike Skelton from Yellowstone Wonders. He helped us find so much more wildlife than we could have found on our own! Highly recommend this accommodation and that guide service for a great vacation.

Great property
This location was just great. It had everything we needed and was just right for my husband and I. The corner shower in the bathroom was wonderful - - big enough to shave me legs comfortably! The kitchen was well stocked and having a dishwasher was a perfect addition.

2021 Gardiner vacation
So close to the Roosevelt Arch you could walk into Yellowstone if the park itself wasn’t so big. This location suited us just fine for the short time we were there. After checking in and looking around the owner came to see if we needed anything.

Our stay in Gardiner, MT.
We enjoyed our stay here. Gardiner is literally at Yellowstone’s north entrance. Easy checkin and checkout. Full kitchen. Nice sitting room with Direct TV. Wi-fi was great at first but got very slow on weekend. Texted owner about this and got a rapid response. Owner says this happens with large crowds in town. Walking distance to restaurants. Restaurants get busy, go early.
Overall excellent place to stay for our Yellowstone visit.

Montana's Yellowstone Hide-Away
Very nice property. Julie and Eric are great hosts and we were asked more than once if everything was okay and if we needed anything. Property is very close to the North gate and 5 miles from Mammoth Hot Springs. Gardiner is a very nice little town. I have a feeling this area is going to start growing soon. Yellowstone National Park is doing construction on a new gate currently and when that is done it will be a very nice entrance. The apartment is generously furnished and clean. The area was nice, quiet and peaceful. Everything was in great working order.

Great small family getaway.
This was a fantastic place to stay, the hosts communicated right away and throughout our stay. The location was perfect with elk and deer right out the front door. You could walk to the north entrance of Yellowstone national park. We will be back.

Comfortable, clean, and a great location
You should jump at this if you have the chance. It is immaculately clean and covered all the basics well, plus lots of nice extra touches. We were there in 90 degree weather and it stayed cool. The owners are lovely people, friendly and very helpful. The location can't be beat. It's just a couple of minutes away from the North Yellowstone entrance, or a short walk to the Roosevelt Arch. We were very comfortable there and felt like we were coming "home" after a day in the park. (Also, we were so glad we chose the North entrance. In June, when we were there, there were never more than 3 or 4 cars ahead of us in the park entrance line. When we exited a few days later through the West entrance, we estimated the entrance line at 7-10 miles.)
