Great place for 2 couples—main house has nice living room, kitchen and comfy king bed. Another room has twin beds which we didn’t use. Our son and his girlfriend stayed in the studio with their small dog. That also has a comfy king bed. There is a lovely outdoor space with a patio table and a hot tub with beautiful surroundings by the studio. Decor is Hawaiian which is a little different but charming. The only thing we didn’t care for was the picnic table as a dining table. Overall a great place!

Private, quiet, and close to everything!

Close to downtown, the river and many parks. Lovely area for walks in the morning and very peaceful location. A mini fridge in the studio would have been nice for waters, etc, but we have no complaints about the property and certainly recommend it!
Thank you!

We loved our stay! The location is incredible. Easy walk to downtown restaurants. But the best part is the location to the river - 1.5 blocks away is an easy access to the river, swim holes, and the river path. The house has great separation of space. Will come back for sure!

We spent a weekend at Kingfisher with family and it was the perfect place for friends and/or family. The main house has 2 bedrooms/baths and the guest cottage is a 1 bedroom/bath. the cottage was a great separate space for guests. The outdoor space was amazing, with a hot tub and large dinner table with a grill for outdoor eating. Besides being the perfect set up, the Location was ideal. It was a short walk (1-2 minutes) to an amazing park on the river and a 10-11 minute walk to downtown where all the breweries, restaurants and shopping are located. This was the perfect weekend rental!
In addition, management was very responsive and professional They also checked in with us on how things were going and available to answer questions but the rental book on site had everything in it.
Highly Recommend!!!

Great property and great location. Love Bend!

My family of 6 (including our dog) stayed at the Kingfisher in the middle of June. It was fantastic! Lovely neighborhood and great location (walkable) near river trail and downtown. The home was comfortable and unique, and the separate bonus room meant everyone had space. Nice landscaping and fully fenced-in yard with outdoor seating. We did not have time to use all the amenities (bikes, hot tub) but hope to next time. Instructions and communication were clear. Definitely would rent again!

We really enjoyed our stay. Just blocks from river trails and the river. House was clean and well stocked for our stay.

My oldest son goes to college in Bend and this was the perfect place to stay to be able to visit with him! I brought my other son with me and he loved being able to go run the trails along the river that are just down the block. There was way more space than we needed and the house was really well equipped (my oldest got to BBQ which he loved). We will stay here again the next time we come up for a visit!

This bungalow was very nice. Everyone thought it was way bigger than it looked in pics online. We had the max 8 people stay and everyone had their own space. Plus places to gather.

Kingfisher Bungalow has been lovingly updated to retain original charm with more modern appliances. Details make a difference--breakfast nook, plenty of coat hooks, 4 legged bath tub, quality wood blinds, abundant lighting, comfortable beds, and sufficient kitchen utensils. Huge plus: it's within 3 blocks of Deschutes River walk/bike path. It is decorated with historical posters and art about Hawaii. Our only suggestion is to add to the written description a note about bringing bedding or sleeping bags if there are more than 4 guests. It can sleep 8 with firm couches. Fortunately, we were a party of 4.

We stayed in Bend over the President's Day Weekend at the Kingfisher Bungalow and had a wonderful time. Location is unbeatable to downtown, and the vibes were amazing (loved the Hawaiian decor!).
Would definitely stay again in the future.

We had a wonderful trip to Bend and this property was amazing! Plenty of room to relax and enjoy time together! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was easy to work in and the neighbors were friendly.

In Bend for a family wedding, my husband and I stayed at the Kingfisher Bungalow for 10 nights. Our 2 grown sons, wife and girlfriend stayed there 2 and 4 nights. We are very familiar with Bend and could tell from the map that this would be a great location for easy walking downtown - and it was! The house was more than adequately stocked with everything we could need - I brought diet restricted ingredients and even baked muffins in the oven! We all enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub at the end of a busy day. There were a couple issues with the bathroom plumbing but all was responded to resolved quickly by the property managers. Next time we are all in Bend together we will definitely book the Kingfisher Bungalow again. Couldn't have asked for more in terms of location (about a mile walk), accommodations, service and provisions. Oh and the Hawaii theme throughout the house and apartment was charming!

This property was perfect for a long weekend celebrating my best friend’s engagement. The house is walking distance to parks, bars, and restaurants. We had so much fun using the hot tub and outdoor space. Would highly recommend!

This place was perfect, great communication, location and cleanliness.

Great location in Bend! Very easy to walk to the river and into downtown. Neighborhood is quiet and attractive. Charming old house, very well kept and clean, and more spacious by far than it looks from the front. One of our teens especially liked the separate "pool house" bedroom and claimed it for his own. :) Really enjoyed hot tubbing under the stars on the cold nights!

Having the river trail out the door and a short walk to downtown were great. Everything within worked as advertised - wonderful reserve and spices/items for cooking, easy to fit the 5 of us on comfortable beds, enjoyable spaces for dining and conversation, welcomed touches in nearly every room. Personally, heated floors in the bathroom when it was 1 degree and snowing outside was opulent. I'd stay again - for sure.

Overall we found this location to be great for visiting sights near downtown Bend. Mirror Pond and Old Mill
The home is maintained well and very comfortable
The floorplan/layout is a little quirky but to be expected with an older home
We did not take advantage of the Hot Tub, but it was warm and clean upon arrival.
Would consider staying here again if I am in the area.

The home is in a quiet neighborhood and was as described on vrbo. We were in Bend for a conference and the drive between conference center and home was short and convenient (would be nice to use bicycle if weather had been better). We had a very small dog with us and it was an easy walk to park and river trail. We walked to downtown area each evening and the proximity to great restaurants/bars was a huge plus. I would definitely stay at this home again.

Location was amazing. We walked to dinner several nights so nice not to have to get into a car. The house was nice and clean and met our needs very well

The home and property were great for our family of 6 +2 dogs. Very walkable into town and the river. House and apartment felt larger than images show - there was lots of space for 6 adults.
How and yard were clean and comfortable.

Memorial Day weekend baseball tournament
This house was in a great location on a quiet street and had everything we needed. We had 3 teenage boys that were able to sleep and hang out in their own space in there garage apartment which worked out great!

Nice Place....
The property was fine. The weather made it a bit more challanging. Not as enjoyable in the snow....Would have enjoyed things much more in the warm weather season, which has nothing to do with with the property itself...

Thanksgiving getaway
We had a great time here! The house looks small but there was plenty of room for our family of 6 to spread out. The Hawaiian vibe was charming and my husband and I loved having our own space in the detached apartment.

Great trip for new family!
Nice little home and neighborhood. Layout is a little funky with both bathrooms accessed through a bedroom (no common bath) and WiFi was not fast enough to work remotely so had to hotspot with phone in some parts of the home. Very centrally located and very quiet neighborhood. We were surprised to see construction next door when we arrived at night with our dog and baby however Paige at Bluebird Rental was great and moved us to a new home for the bulk of our stay to accommodate. Definitely will return to Bend and stay at a Bluebird property again.

Great location and cute place
We really enjoyed our stay in this cute little house. The location is just fantastic. You can easily walk to downtown and along the river trails. The studio apartment out back is really well done.

Great home base in Bend
This was a great home for our family of four. We tried to do online school and work and that didn't always work smoothly, but otherwise, the stay was everything we hoped for. The house is close to the river and a nice trail which you can walk right into the main part of Bend. The hot tub was a nice amenity and the house had everything we needed. The bedroom off the garage was great for us. Would be more difficult if your children are younger.

Awesome Bend Experience
Great location and size for our group of two moms and 3 kids. Biking distance to downtown and the Deschutes River trail. Large dining table both indoors and out with space and equipment to cook all meals. Great hot tub in the backyard. The only strange thing was the bathrooms in the main house are both accessed through the bedrooms. Not an issue for our size group but could be a problem for a larger group.

Wonderful place!
We had a little hiccup with cleaning, but the level of care and communication was very appreciated. Place was darling and we had a great time!

NATURES SETTING
The proximity to the river and town was perfect for walking. Felt like being in nature at house, but had luxuries like jacuzzi

Delightful house and excellent location
This house was a perfect fit for us. Our group included several people and two dogs. There was ample room for everyone, and the kitchen was well stocked, especially with spices and cooking oils. The place is walkable to downtown and the street dead ends on an amazing river walk trail. Don't miss it! The setup of the place allows for privacy and accommodation of early risers and night owls within the same group. The staff is very responsive. We had heavy snow right at the start of our week, and while we were out cross country skiing, the staff came out and shoveled around the house. The hot tub was a perfect temperature. We would stay here again.
