We are on the ocean side, NOT on the main road or across the highway!!!
Our guests tell us time and again how they travel the island searching and exploring different beaches but find that ours is the BEST on the island, by far. They say that they should have stayed at the rental to enjoy our beach the whole time. LOL! They LOVE coming home to our beach!! We say, "You got GOOD taste!!"
Our beautiful 4-bedroom beach house is located on the Northeast Shore on the island of Oahu. Situated in a small and friendly local town, where everybody knows your name. Private access to white sandy swimming beach, known only to the locals. Disney movie with Even Stevens filmed right here on location. Ask your kids, they'll know.
What's the difference, you ask?
Well, the 'size' and 'privacy' is. The 4BR home sleeps up to 10 comfortably, depending on size and age.
Where else can you find paradise fit for the whole family?
We are two houses away from a secret white sandy swimming beach, a favorite spot for the locals in the area. Depending on the season, you may encounter various sea creatures that are protected under the Endangered Species Act. While we cannot guarantee this wonderful experience during your stay with us, the most recent sighting of the Hawaiian Monk Seal was in March & August this year on our beach. The Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle and the Hawaiian Monk Seal are commonly sighted on this beach. During the winter months you may be lucky enough to witness, 300 to 400 yards from the shoreline, the Humpback Whales, as they migrate through to their next destination.
A little further down the beach is a local favorite surf spot, Pounders. We are also minutes to famous attractions such as Polynesian Cultural Center, Kualoa Ranch, Chinaman's Hat, Haleiwa Town, Turtle Bay Resort Health Spa and Golf Course, just to name a few.
This large 4 bedroom beach home has a full kitchen and 2 bathrooms with two free reserved parking.
The full kitchen includes everything you need to prepare a lavish meal. All you'll need is your chef skills and the right ingredients.
We are surrounded by mesmerizing sunrises and sunsets with cool, tropical ocean and mountain breezes. We are only a short stroll away from one of the most gorgeous beaches on the island. Private, yet well-known only to those fortunate and familiar with the area, we are situated in a cul-de-sac just steps away from the private entrance to Alligator Pond, as it is fondly called. It is there that you can swim, snorkel, fish, body board, boogie board, sprawl out or snooze to your heart's content... (but don't forget the sunscreen, if that's the case:)
You can return home to the convenience of our outdoor cold "rinse off" shower. We also have a laundry room with a full size coin-op washer & dryer for your personal cleaning needs. An outdoor area to barbecue. Be lazy and sit around soaking in the tranquil and soothing air as you take in the beauty of our "countryside".
You can relax and unwind, sipping Mai-Tai's near the beach or take a scenic drive to Haleiwa Town at the North Shore or Windward Mall in Kaneohe. Either way is only a 30 minute drive. Walking distance, across the street, is our grocery shopping store, a Long's CVS Drug Store, some eateries and our local post office. No need for a car. You'll find everything you need just minutes away. In addition, the Circle Island bus stops just several feet away to whisk you around the island, if you desire.
Of course, down the road, on the way to Haleiwa, or even in the other direction, you'll find more lovely beaches to surrender to.
If you're looking for something off the beaten path, tired of the crowded beaches and the hustle and bustle of city life, this is your calling. Keep in mind, Waikiki is only an hour's drive away.
This will definitely be a down-home local and truly 'Hawaiian' experience.

Very comfortable home. The beach was so close and had just a few people. Tide pools when the tide is out. Great for kids. My family with little kids joined us on the beach. Tamura’s market is across the street as well as a Long’s Drug Store and a breakfast/lunch spot. Owners are available to answer any questions. We had a nice stay.

We took our parents on vacation, some of their first ever vacation and everyone enjoyed the trip and location. Was nice to have the whole house to ourselves and being able to walk to the beach in a two minutes. The beach was fabulous! Close enough to the city but far enough away to make the trip more enjoyable. We will definitely stay here again.

A wonderful property with a casual feel in a quiet, local neighborhood. We enjoyed the neighborhood cats and chickens. Views of the mountains and ocean were spectacular. Don’t miss the picture perfect sunrises!
The space was perfectly set up for our group of 4 couples: large open space with bedrooms lining one side, felt spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs. A grocery store was 2 minutes away offering delicious prepared poke and other goodies. We also found many food trucks on our day trips. If you’re looking for a more local feel on Oahu, I definitely recommend this property and location!
Geri and Ke’alii were wonderful hosts!
Very communicative and friendly.

It was the perfect place for a family/friends gathering.
The inside was large enough to hold about 20 of us comfortably so that we could have several groups mingling at once but still be in close vicinity. At night, 12 of us slept comfortably.
The outside was somewhat weather beaten but that’s to be expected when you live so close the the ocean.
The beach access lead straight to the beach, to an area of tide pools and a nice stretch of sandy beach where we’d walk and watch the sunrise.
It was also close to Polynesian Cultural Center, which was a plus because our out of town family wanted to attend the Luau and show.
The owners were very accommodating and responsive to our texts. Thank you for your aloha!

We were really looking forward to staying at this house. It had air conditioning, it wad 29 steps from the beach, and it had queen beds. The disappointment came when we arrived and found there was no air conditioning in the bedrooms only one air conditioner in the middle of a 45' room. Then we went to the beach. Only 29 steps, right? It is 29 steps once you get to the entrance of the beach, which is 4 houses away. Not a big deal but not what was expected. The beach was beautiful, by the way. The queen bed turned out to be a double bed for our newly wed son and daughter in law. The house was somewhat clean but had not been dusted for quite some time. The sheets on the master bed were over due to be replace. The place has potential but falls short.

We were super happy about our stay. The owner, the view and the inside of the house was great. It does need an update on the outside, but don't let that scare you off. Also some of the inside baseboards need replaced. The view and proximity to the ocean was perfect. The hist was great as well.

This was exactly how I expected it to be from the listing. We stayed with my 75 year old parents, my 18 year old daughter and her friend, myself and hubs, and our 1.5 year old son. We spent most of our days and nights enjoying cocktails on the lanai, cooking in our take out, and an hour or 2 on the beach every day.
We didn't turn on the TV - NOT ONE SINGLE TIME! We enjoyed the ocean views and sounds of the waves and birds. We cooked in some, and made our way around to the local eateries.
The owners were phenomenal at their correspondence over the text thread and in person.
The kitchen is FULL with every sort of utensil, cups, plateware, cookware, you name it! It was glorious!
Shopping for your stay- even tho the owners don't stock the home fully, they don't believe in waste either. We used the left over sunscreens and shampoos, then replenished when we opened the containers we took.
Take inventory before you go shopping. There are things others have left behind that you might use! (Seasonings, cooking oils, etc...) There was plenty of toilet paper for all of us for a week, but we bought paper plates and paper towels. We are also used to camping, so we continued to air dry our towels and reuse. So if you're not used to that, bring extras or do laundry at the coin-op.
We seriously didn't want to leave!
Ps. If you're reading the reviews, it's 27 man-steps to the sandy beach walkway. But I'm a woman and it took me 30 steps 😂😂

Family trip
Family trip for 11people. We rented this house and a studio( sofa bed and bathroom). This place is closed to the beach, we enjoyed the beautiful peaceful beach. We just felt in love with Hawaii. Very very very beautiful!! Beautiful green mountains trees, clean emerald blue beaches, fresh clean air. Every dinner we cooked this big clean house, eat, talk, laugh. Thanks a lot. We recommend this place.

It is an upstairs unit with lots of rules. It is a short walk to a nice beach. The unit is not new and is the Hawaii standard of worn. There is also your favorite roster that will wake you at 3:30am on the dot. Closed windows help but ... I would stay here again.

Great place to stay!
We had a wonderful time at this rental!
Some of the beds and pillows are not the most comfortable. It isn’t the crisp impeccable hotel experience, but it is homey and cozy with plenty of space.

My family and I enjoyed our stay so much. There was plenty of room for all 9 of us. Owners and neighbors were very friendly and helpful with anything needed. Would love to go back soon.

The house is just a few minutes walk to the beach and was very nice to stay in. North Shore location is great to be close to many good beaches, food trucks, etc, and away from the crowds.

Very comfy
We enjoyed our stay. The land owner was very helpful. We were a bit further from the beach than expected, but it was a very short walk. Very close to the grocery. The beach was perfect for swimming and snorkeling. We would recommend this place to friends.

Amazing time away from home that still felt like home!
Myself, my husband, our 7 y/o child our 3 adult friends felt completely comfortable in this lovely AirBNB. Perfect location away from the hustle of the city life we are accustomed to in our day to day...but a close enough drive to anything else we wanted to experience (cultural center, ATV / UTV tours, ziplining, food, etc.).
The owners are not kidding when they say they have an amazing beach that is literally only a few steps away. The alligator pond was perfection for our son; an absolute flawless stretch of beach. Being from South Florida, we are no strangers to the strength of the ocean and we are always on alert - but even we were able to throttle back a bit as our son enjoyed the stretch of beachy heaven! Prepare to snorkel and explore all that you can on this beach – it is a must!
Now, back to the home - it boasts a large open floor plan with nice sized bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen even allotted space for all of the adults to prepare food at once – I cannot do that in my own kitchen haha. They offer various seasonings and a lot of dishes / cooking utensils for use. Just go to the grocery which is close by and prepare your favorite foods as you would at home…easy breezy!
Even in the summer months the AC was not a true necessity as the ocean breeze was fantastic and so cooling and refreshing!
If we ever travel back to Hawaii, we will book this home again – 110% without a doubt.
Home, owners, location - all superb!!!!

Wonderful Vacation
We had a wonderful vacation! The house is in an ideal spot for having quick access to the beach without the crowds of tourists. A true relaxing Hawaiian vacation spot for a family looking to enjoy the beach. Owners are close for answering questions and are genuinely nice people.

Family mini vacation
Aloha, My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Hawaiian Dreams, perfect location if you’re planning on going to Kualoa Ranch Tours, Polynesia Culture Center, very close to Foodland and about ten minutes to a verity of food trucks that have been featured on Dinners Drive and Dine.
What we really enjoyed the most is that the beach at the house was all ours and not crowded like when you stay in Waikiki.
My family and I are planning our next vacation, we’re definitely going back to Hawaiian Dreams the house is very pretty and very accomdating for a large group of 10 adults
Jeri and KeAlli are very nice people and very welcoming

Nice Place to Stay
Good location for the area. House is nice. We had an awesome view of tons of New Year's fireworks from the back lanai. Definatly need to be able to do stairs. My mother in law did ok but there are a decent amount of steps to get into the house. Very friendly hosts and they promptly brought us a lantern and flash light when the neighborhood power went out. Definatly no view of ocean which I thought there might be because it said something like steps to the beach. Beach area more like very short walk...I guess that's steps but a little farther than I was expecting. The beach was pretty rocky. It might have gotten better quickly but we didnt explore this beach much because we were mostly doing sight seeing during the days.

Overall we had a wonderful stay at Hawaiian Dreams celebrating Christmas and my 50th. However a few things to note:
* The en-suite toilet takes a couple of flushes to work and the sistern needs attention. Drove us crazy at night when it kept wanting to fill up.
* When staying 10 days - would be lovely to get a change of linen or have access to a working washer and dryer. There is a $2 charge per load - when staying at a house I would expect this to be included. With the rain it felt like the towels were always damp.
* There is insufficient glassware for a party of 8.
* Showers were always lukewarm but understand it is solar powered. You needed a sunny day to have a hot shower.
* If you are going to advertise for 8 or more people to stay its unreasonable that one double bed is a blow up mattress. Not a particularly comfortable stay for our 25yr old son.
* For future guest stays would recommend you put a little effort into a welcome basket - my extended family stayed down the road and enjoyed a total different welcome experience with fruit basket, small gift and festive decorations.
* Rooms should be equipped with ceiling fans.
* Wifi kept dropping out but owners were quick to reset the router.
Owner shared tips on the local area and greeted us each morning. House located close to the beach. There was a great ‘alligator’ rock pool and the beach was safe to swim at. Home is also located in walking distance to the grocery store.

Don’t judge a book by its cover. Spacious home that suited our needs whilst staying on North Shore.

Peaceful Perfection
Our family of 7 adults and 2 children made this our home for a week and what a wonderful experience. We could see the beach from the deck and it was just 2 houses away to the beach. The owner was very pleasant and accommodating, the very essence of Hawaiian aloha. The property is located far away from the hustle and bustle of the city and the private beach was never crowded. The home itself was perfect for us with plenty of room for all 9 of us. The air conditioning was something to look forward to after being out in the heat all day. The kitchen was well equipped for us to enjoy preparing meals and the dining room table fit all of us. Our stay was AMAZING!! I highly recommend a stay at this little peace of heaven.

Great Family Vacation
Perfect spot to relax after exploring the island! Fit our two families (10 people) perfectly. Loved the proximity to the beach! Was lacking in a few supplies supplies like beach chairs and a cooler for picnics. But, there's a Longs across the street to buy those. Enjoyed waking up to the sound of the ocean each morning! Overall, we would stay here again.
