Loved this beautiful old home and how close we were to the beach! Pet-friendly and the host was very helpful. Many games for the kids were already at the house. We had a fantastic week there together!

We (2 parents + 2 older teens) had a great time. Very homey feeling, house is nice and spacious with lots of history, great location on the beach. The neighborhood is not great, but it’s OK. Close to the pier. House is very clean inside, yard may need some work.

We had a great time at this home, beautiful oceanfront view and great location.
Would love to come back again, thank you Quinn and Deborah, very friendly host.

Gorgeous hundred year old home loaded with charm and beautiful woodwork right on the beach. Location to the pier was ideal for a delicious quick meal and drink in a laid-back atmosphere. Surprise was the main floor bedroom that we were not expecting, but makes it so much more agreeable for older folks like we are. Being able to travel with our dogs, made it even more special. Very attentive owner/manager could not have asked for more.

This historic house was gorgeous on the inside. We would love to know more history of the house! The furnishings were very nice and comfortable, The Kitchen and porch were highlights. It was perfect for our large family group and the kids loved the beach right out the back door. On the downside, the grounds needed a lot of attention. The yard was a mess with lots of junk lying around and 3 rusty unusable bbq pits. We had to buy one to grill out. It would take 1 good weekend and a dumpster to clean up the yard to make it deserving of this beautiful house. One other downside was the neighbor on the east side was a junky automotive business. It was junky and they had a very bright light that shone in the windows all night.
The laundry room and supplied amenities were great and the beds were so comfortable. All decorating was beautiful. We had a great time Thanks!

Beautiful property, everything just as described! The best stocked kitchen I have ever had in a rental. My friends and I enjoyed cooking breakfasts here and relaxing on the front porch with an incredible view! Host checked on us several times to make sure everything was ok. Perfect location. We went to downtown Norfolk each night and it was easy to get where we needed to be. Would definitely rent this property again when in the area.

We enjoyed staying in this beautiful old house! There was more than enough space for our group of 5. Being right on the beach was lovely. I would recommend staying here!
4.7
No problems with anything really, the neighbors were chatty and warm, access to the beach was easy.
Some of the gates need hinges and latches and the parking was a little tight, but manageable.
Would and probably will stay again,

Charming old house with great furniture and decor and all modern amenities. Plenty of space and right on the beach.

I literally cannot express how amazing this property is. My family and I enjoyed every minute we spent in this beautiful home. The property is on the beach and was absolutely beautiful With a stunning view and easy walk to the fishing pier for a good dinner. We would definitely stay here again.

We met our kids here over Christmas and it was great for us!! The house is charming, clean and well appointed. Many unique spaces. Nice bathrooms and kitchen. The beach is nice and weather was great for December. Groceries and activities nearby ( driving). Great house and location. Beach great for walking. Porches are beautiful. Loved the house!
4.7
Great property! All the charm of an older house with just the right amount of newer amenities. House was clean and well stocked with amenities. Great location right on the beach. Would recommend to anyone looking for a stay in Norfolk!

The property was gorgeous very close to neighbor I felt as if we were intruding.

It was perfect to have a beach to ourselves.

This was our first family trip with our young children (4 under the age of 4). It worked out extremely well logistically and we had a great time with the home and location relative to the beach. The property manager was very responsive and everything was as expected. Thank you for your hospitality.
4.7
We loved the house. Our group of 10 had plenty of space to spread out. It had everything we needed. The beach right out front was perfect for swimming. We are already are planning to come back.
4.7
We loved the house and had a great time. Didn’t enjoy the bright lights from the dump next door shining into the house all night. Also needed a lot more towels during the stay. We should have done more research about the surrounding area. There were not really any nice places to eat and the surrounding area was pretty run down.
4.7
The house was beautiful. I loved the character it had. The AC wasn't working properly but it was addressed quickly. The house had plenty of space for our group.
4.7
The big blue house was perfect for our family. We loved the old historic feel with all the modern touches! Oh, the porches!!!!! Enough space and bathrooms for all! We all enjoyed being able to walk out the backdoor to the bay. Being from a smaller town, the daily grind of a bigger area was an adjustment! However, once you shut the gate and were on the property or out at the water, all was good!
4.7
The property and home are both beautiful! Such a neat property and very comfortable to spend time in. We had such a great time staying at your home, despite some very rainy and windy weather that mostly kept us indoors. I loved the beautiful beach views and the restaurant at the pier was fun!
It was a little difficult to tell how many rooms/ beds there were at the property from the listing, but we were pleasantly surprised with the rooms and layout.
The only thing that was a little tough to work around was the bathroom doors on the second floor, there are 3 doors to enter the bathroom and the door to the hallway and the door to the kids room were difficult to keep shut.
I do think you should add photos of the outdoor area with the grill, such a fun surprise upon arrival to see the outdoor set up.
We had a great stay and were thankful to find your property!

LOVED IT!
Great location. It’s a 2-minute walk to the pier, where you can get drinks/food at the restaurant/bar. You can fish on the pier and rent poles/bait/tackle. The beach is public and clean. You can walk for miles. It isn’t crowded. There is a buffer between the house and the beach, so the house is private and peaceful.
There are restaurants, grocery store, gym, etc. nearby (5-10 mins). We had Doordash delivered.
The house is huge. There are 5 or 6 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms. The water pressure in our shower was great and there is plenty of hot water. Cell service and internet are great if you work remotely. There is no cable TV, but there are streaming services. The dining room is huge. It has a large table with 8 chairs, and you can pull up more. The kitchen is well stocked with supplies to cook/grill. We grilled in the backyard. There are two wraparound decks with tables, chairs, and rocking chairs. The house is historic – it’s over 100 years old. It has character, but the owners made it modern and comfortable. There is AC/AC units and ceiling fans. There is a washer/dryer.
The house is surrounded by a fence. To keep it fully enclosed (for dogs/privacy), shut the gate to the driveway. It is private and you can fit 2-3 cars.
The property manager is friendly, helpful, and responsive.
If you bring dogs, between Memorial Day and Labor Day, dogs are allowed on the beach before 10AM & after 6PM only. We took them for a walk/swim in the AM/PM and it was perfect.
4.7
Unfortunately the Memorial Day weekend weather was not “beach weather” but the house lent it self to a wonderful few days of relaxing. The kitchen and dining room accommodations were wonderful for cooking and dining. We all had a great few days. Being just a few minutes from the grocery store was also a nice benefit

We stayed here for my son’s graduation from CNU. Everything about the house was perfect and it was tailor made for our family. The hosts were very responsive and we really enjoyed our visit. Can’t wait to go back!

The home:Gorgeous⭐. Location:Stellar🏠. Amenities:Bountiful🍽. I'd have given 20 stars! ......then the home owner emerged aggressively, unannounced, & unprofessionally from the beach facing yard YELLING at my family that they were misbehaving & would be fined $1000 and our deposit (which there WASN'T ONE🙄) would not be returned. He CLAIMED there was a noise complaint from the fishing pier...which is so far away, you couldn't even hear someone yell your name over the surf. We had no music on or anything. I (& several others) was awoken from a leisurely day nap in the living room about a crazy man yelling at my family in the backyard. I go outside & see him SHOUTING at my sisters on the 2nd floor about there being too many people at the house! We had family stop by that lived in the area because our matriarch turned 60 the next week. We are locals to the area. The house was a gift to her for a weekend getaway. While only 6 adults were overnight guests, we had family stopping in to say hello & enjoy the beach. He continued to harrass & berate us with insults to our intellect (telling us he is ONLY used to talking to people with PhDs😳). Next, came HOURS of threats about violating the lease & VRBO. He lingered around making calls & watching us for almost 2 hrs. The prop mngr then texts me to pay $1000 for having more than 7 people at the home. It's a 3 level beach house!!! This was not a college frat party. We are mature adults lounging around on a beautiful day. Worst a

Loved the charm of this beach house in the Norfolk area. Perfect setting for our family to enjoy a few days away from home. Plenty of parking, fully-stocked kitchen ware and appliances. Oh... not to be forgotten, hot water throughout which is often lacking in such a big house. The neighborhood is quiet already, but the peacefulness and privacy of the gated driveway and courtyard was a bonus. Thank you for a wonderful stay in the big blue house.

We enjoyed our stay in this nice older beachfront home. Lovely views of the Bay and the easy beach access was great. The holiday decorations were unexpected and a very nice touch! We greatly appreciate the property manager's very timely responses to our inquiries

We thoroughly enjoyed a restful stay at this home. Wonderful views!
4.7
Great house! Amazing views! The owner was so prompt!! We loved it! So much house and all in great condition!
4.7
This historic home is very unique and we enjoyed walking the beach on an unseasonably warm weekend in November. As indicated in the listing this is an older home so there are things that you would expect in an older property. Quinn was an excellent host and communication was very easy! We had a good weekend!

Beautiful house with an amazing view of the ocean.
4.7
The house is in a great location right on the beach and has everything you need nearby. It is very spacious and has a beautiful wrap-around porch with plenty of seating for everyone. We will definitely be back.
4.7
The house was more than we expected. The photos were absolutely accurate. The house has been so beautifully restored and was spotlessly clean with a mix of modern amenities and antique touches. Wonderful getaway!
4.7
The beach house is beautiful and very comfortable with lots of room for our family. It was very clean and and very well appointed, filled with everything and more that we needed for our stay. The lower level was full of toys, chairs and umbrellas for the beach. Very close to the beach. The only problem we had was with the presence of pipes (used by the county to remove sand from the beach area) which blocked our direct access to the beach (we used a sand ramp to cross over the pipes to get to the beach). These pipes were being removed the Saturday we left, so they were temporary, but they disrupted our view and access to the beach the entire week.
Overall we had a great time!
4.7
We had a great time staying right on the beach by the calm waters of the Chesapeake Bay. My 8 year old grandsons loved playing in the water, and my 79 year old mother loved the porch facing the Bay. The house had plenty of room for our 4 generation family.
4.7
Great stay
Overall a great vacation. House location is great because you basically have a private beach right on the bay.
4.7
Beautiful!
the house was gorgeous. Very clean and well equipped. Fenced in yard was great since we brought our dog. Right on the beach-million dollar view. I'd stay again.
4.7
Property is well situated with direct access to the beach. The historic property is clean and well kept with responsive property manager.
4.7
The house is well laid out, and has a very workable kitchen and dining area. The wrap around porch provides outside seating, regardless of rainy or windy conditions. Beach access is convenient, with a great fishing pier and restaurant within easy walking distance.. Owner/agent support is outstanding.
