Great place to stay

The view was amazing. Also a great location, close to a lot of the attractions in the peninsula and close to restaurants. The owners were super friendly and knowledgeable about the area and gave us precious tips.

Since we forgot to write a note on the "visitors' book", here we go: among all the places we have bene staying to during our holidays in Ireland, this was surely the best as It made us feel at home. Clean, cosy, with a stunning view over the bay and an incredible care for those little details that eventually can make all the difference and speak about two hosts that really care about their guests. Brigitte and Adrien welcomed us warmely, suggesting us the hidden gems of their surrounding and waking us up with the sweetest of all breakfasts. We Will be back soon and definetely for a longer time! Thanks for everything! Giulia and Federico

Highly recommended!!

The view from the common room was stunning! This turned every breakfast into something special! Brigitte shared with us many valuable insights on trips, destinations and hidden gems. It was so lovely to use the common (living) room and kitchen with other guests and sit together for a sundowner drink.

Very enjoyable stay with stunning views in well equipped house with friendly hosts and great food.

We were delighted with the amazing view from the shared sitting room and kitchen. Everything we could need was provided. The hosts were very welcoming. There were so many artistic touches to the place. There are stunning views, beach walks, beautiful wild flowers nearby. A delicious breakfast was provided which we were not expecting. We had an enjoyable chat with other guests. We couldn't recommend this place enough.

Beautiful views to “lookout” onto. Extremely friendly hosts who gave recommendations for travels and provided us with a vegan/vegetarian breakfast. Our room had lots of character and was fun to stay in 😎

Great stay in beautiful Donegal

Great location in stunning surroundings. Very friendly atmosphere and relaxing environment in the hostel. The local people are very friendly too. Lovely breakfast included. We enjoyed our stay, very comfortable room, clean and even with a great view from the room.

Amazing place with positive vibes!

Amazing views with beautiful location. Host Brigitte was so caring and lovely, she has thought of everything to make you feel welcomed. The place is so cosy and has that special vibe that makes you want to indulge and stay there forever. We loved the fire place .Brigitte baked home made bread- served as part of breakfast, just delicious!!

I enjoyed my visit and could well be back next year

I was made to feel very welcome and Brigitte had a great deal of local knowledge about locations and places to visit. I really liked the views from the sitting room, the peat fire in the evenings and the tranquillity as the sun set out over the bay. I went for the walking festival, but is a great location for doing your own thing. There are many walks ranging from high hills to pristine beaches (Ballinreacy Strand) or neolithic / bronze age sites to visit. The Lookout is little more than a 5 minute drive to Ardara village which is small, but had everything I required – good places to eat and good pubs with live music.

Nothing really. But before going I was slightly concerned about the shared bathroom / shower room – but in fact this was not a problem.

Amazing stay in a peaceful and remote area! Ireland as it should be! Thank you both Adrien( the magic pancake wizard) &Brigitte...I'm looking forward seeing you again soon! Next time I'm going for at least eleven pancakes...;-)

Incredible views over Maghara beach, the waterfall and the hills. We were excited about the pancakes per the previous reviews and they didn't disappoint. They were incredible! Bridgette was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. She has been coming to Ireland for 27 years and knows way more about than the country than i do as a native! She had great knowledge about amazing walks and hikes and recommendations of town and hostels to stay at elsewhere in the country. She also gave us a lift into Ardara and picked us up so that we could have a few drinks in one of the awesome pubs. Brillant hosts.
