Bittersweet; a sense of pleasure tinged with sadness…but that’s OK, you are always welcome to come back!

This homes boasts 4 luxurious king bedrooms, each with its own private en-suite tile/glass bath; dual sinks, and resort style glass door enclosed showers, plush towels and blow dryers. You’ll sleep soundly on Tempur-Breeze Cooling mattresses with high-end linens and bedding, 4 king down pillows, complete with down comforters to snuggle under. Each bedroom has a flat panel TV discretely hidden behind custom cabinetry. You are in for an extraordinary experience! No detail has been overlooked for the comfort of our guests.

The outdoor space is AMAZING! At the center of it all is the waterfall (operation of which may be seasonal) with the calming sound of falling water to add to the ambiance. The pavilion boasts a wood burning fireplace (wood provided), flat panel TV, and comfortable seating. This is everyone’s favorite place to be! Just off this area is also a wood burning fire pit (wood provided). The semi enclosed dining area and gas grill, lends a bit of elegance to outdoor dining and is perfect for those days when the weather just isn’t cooperating with your plans.

The house was just beautiful and had a fully stocked kitchen. The outside area was so nice and relaxing. We ate outside every evening at the large covered table, We had a wonderful time with our adult children. We would absolutely recommend! Lovely property manager too!

We were so impressed with this home! We wished we had more time to just hang out in the beautiful outdoor space. It seemed all the decor and furnishings were really chosen with care. We were 8 adult women, sisters and sisters-in-laws so we all shared bedrooms but between the king size beds and large bathrooms, we all felt we had plenty of space. We would return in an instant!

There were 7 adults. We loved everything about this beautifully appointed home. I have stayed at many VRBOs and this one blew us away. Plenty of space to relax and enjoy each room. We will definitely be coming back.

Bittersweet is a gorgeous oasis of comfort, welcome, and tranquility, nestled in a lovely natural setting that is, nonetheless, luxurious and sublime. Every need has been meticulously thought of and designed into this beautiful home, with its epicenter (for my family) balanced between the outdoor living area and the large, inviting kitchen and dining area. The naturally designed water feature provides a constant, soothing background and lures a variety of birds and butterflies, as do the beautiful trees and landscape, which were blooming while we were there. The king beds were pure bliss and we all slept wonderfully well the entirety of our weeklong stay. And oh, the showers! The home, furnishings, and decor have been meticulously planned and cared for and is meticulously clean and in perfect condition. It is obvious that this is a beloved and well cared for home. We absolutely recommend Bittersweet as an oasis of comfort, luxury, and beauty, and would love to return.

We traveled here with our toddler and another family with a toddler and infant. The adults and kids all enjoyed themselves. The house is charming, very clean and has an extraordinary outdoor space where the adults enjoyed relaxing and the kids had a great time exploring. It is a 15-20 min drive to nice restaurants and activities. We would absolutely recommend it to other travelers.

This house is in a very nice, quiet and secluded neighborhood. It had all the amenities you could ask for. We had a number of places we needed to get to in Asheville and Bittersweet was perfectly located so that we were within 15-20 minutes of any location in Asheville. The owners have a lot of pride in their house and it shows. if we have need to stay in Asheville again, we would certainly be pleased to go back to Bittersweet. .

The property was the perfect location to relax after returning from a day of seeing The Biltmore and Asheville. We especially loved the den because it's size and seating options allowed us to visit as a group. This is a luxury property that is worth renting. Our one regret is that the rainy weather did not give us the opportunity to use the beautiful outdoor living areas.

We loved our stay. The house is absolutely gorgeous and was the perfect set up for a group. Shared spaces to enjoy each other's company, with the ability to split off for down time if needed. The outdoor space was lovely and the weather cooperated for some outdoor TV and fire pit time. As an added bonus there were hiking trails just across the street from the house. The house was impeccable and had everything you could.possibly need. We would definitely stay here again.

Place has everything and so much more. The layout of the house easily suits the whole family. Every item in the house is carefully thought of. House is stocked with all the basics. The outside is unlike anywhere else. Sitting, eating, cooking - it’s all there. Kids can play; adults can relax. House is near walking trails and close to anywhere you want to go. Or you can eat in at the great table. Hosts care about the place and you. Easy directions and the process makes sense. Great time and can’t recommend enough.

We had a group of 8 friends (4 couples). The house and everything about it dis not disappoint. 4 king bedrooms with their own bathrooms, everything you would need in the kitchen. The owners have thought of everything. We lucked out on perfect weather (Oct 26-31). We spent most of our time in the outdoor living area enjoying the fireplace, flat screen TV and the comfortable furniture. It was a fantastic trip and we would book this property again if ever in Asheville. This house is wonderful!

We had a fantastic time at Bittersweet! The house is beautiful, very clean, it has everything you can possibly need and then some, and the beds and pillows are incredible! The outdoor space was amazing, we spent evenings outside with a fire, so cozy and comfortable. A+!!!

The decor with expertly done, with all high end amenities The outside space was gorgeous and relaxing. With hiking trails directly across the street, there’s no need to leave the property. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. No detail was left out. The house was so pretty and so comfortable and used high-end everything from the silverware to the bedding to the toilet paper. There was no skimping. we particularly enjoyed the outside area spent every evening with football on the TV hanging out around the fire. We were very pleased.

The property exceeded our expectations!! The house and grounds were well kept, fully stocked with amenities, and peacefully quiet. Our family (4 adult sibling couples) enjoyed plenty of meals and football game viewing together and well appointed areas to sit and talk. It was a beautiful time of year to visit and we will tell our friends about this special place.

This house is gorgeous! The owners have taken the time to truly make sure you have everything. From snacks, drinks, labeling kitchen/light switches, to a full binder of information for the house and surrounding area. The checkin and communication was simple and speedy. The house was clean and in a great quiet location. We had 5 ladies for a reunion and this house was perfect! We used Uber a couple nights which was no problem. The backyard sitting area with a waterfall was the best to wake up to and enjoy morning coffee watching the butterflies and birds. The house has updated appliances with 3 refrigerators, plenty of sitting area (think we counted 35 chairs) and great king size comfy mattresses. It honestly had everything! It was a quick 15-20min drive to downtown and 9min to a local grocery store. The roads and neighborhood were beautiful. I can’t wait to come back!!! It was 100% Bittersweet leaving. Thank you to the owners for sharing this little slice of heaven with us!

The house was perfect for 6 long time friends from high school celebrating their 60th birthdays! We loved the kitchen/dining room area to gather and even put together a puzzle on the table. Our very favorite part however was not the inside but the outside covered area with fireplace/waterfall/covered dining area! We are already planning our next trip back!

We rented this house for a surprise birthday trip and wow it was amazing. This was the most well stocked house I’ve ever stayed in from snacks and coffee to a full set of cookware. The pictures of the outdoor space don’t do it justice at all, it’s a tiny oasis out in Asheville.

There are not enough superlatives to accurately describe our stay at Bittersweet. First of all, the home is dropdead gorgeous inside and out. The owners have thought of every creature comfort imaginable, and then some. Every aspect of this home exceeded our expectations. The amenities inside the home were thoughtful and inclusive, write down two snacks, a coffee bar, serving dishes, pantry shelf, linens, glassware – everything a home needs. The outside pavilion living room with full fireplace was a gathering spot for us every night. The sounds of the waterfall were soothing and peaceful. Call today one of the seven other casts would raise his or her glass to me - the organizer - and say “Well done!” we rode the hop on hop off trolley two days in a row to visit various sites we wanted to see, including lunch at the famous Terrace at Grove Park Inn. We enjoyed dinner and drinks on the rooftop of Hemmingway’s and celebrated my birthday dinner at Vinnie Neighborhood restaurant. Lunch at sierra Nevada brewery provided a great afternoon as well. But each evening, we built a fire, sat around talking and laughing like old friends do, the peaceful sound of the waterfall added to the ambience and pleasure. It couldn’t have been more perfect. We were extremely pleased with our accommodations at this beautiful home. It was an early college Graduation celebration for my daughter and she loved it. We enjoyed the fireplace outside and ate the most delicious meals referred to us by the management group. We will definitely be back.
