Modern 1 bedroom and den condo. Sleeps 5, fully equipped kitchen, fully furnished, and in-suite laundry. Stay for a couple of days, a week, or longer. No smoking. No pets.This lovely residence is perfect for a business person who needs the feeling of a home away from home or individuals and families who want to prepare their own meals. The home is perfectly positioned in the historic downtown. It's just a few steps away from the wonderful seawall walking, sailing, theatres, and shopping. You'll enjoy the benefits of stepping out for dinner without the worry about driving the car. Everything is close by. Available long-term rate for off-season rental from Nov. to May. Guests must be greeted to acquire access, check-in times must be no later than 7 pm.

Staying here was perfect. Edith, the greeter, was so friendly. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. Could not ask for a better location as right downtown and so close to the waterfront. If this is available on our next visit to Nanaimo, will definitely stay there again.

A great location in downtown Nanaimo-close to all rhe downtown and old town shops and bars and the ferries to the islands. Great family friendly parks all within walking distance too. Lovely apartment and i especially liked siting on the patio in the sun and peace with a morning coffee. Only disappointing thing is the photos online show the harbour and whales so i had presumed that was the view from the apartment but the apartment is not on the harbour and you cannot see the sea from it. Other than that, all super.

Well appointed, clean property. Very close for walks to the harbour, parks, and restaurants. TC Highway only a minute from the underground parking spot for out of town exploration. What more can you ask for?

Excellent place to stay. Location was great within walking distance of pubs, restaurants, water front. Accommodation was superb, just what we wanted. Exceptionally well furnished and stocked. Great host who showed us around on arrival. Lovely sitting area outside. Highly recommend staying here.

As our daughter has been in Nanaimo for the last six years, it has almost become our second home. We have always been pleased with ours stays in various rentals throughout the city, and in this case we were not disappointed. The location was great, close to downtown, the port etc. The place was lovely and well appointed and the kitchen very well equipped. Our communications with the on-site caretaker were very good. The patio was also very nice, unfortunately the Nanaimo weather did not allow us to use it. We would book this place again, as it also allows for pets, which we did not bring with us this time, but would like to in future bookings.

This is a beautifully decorated suite in the heart of downtown Nanaimo. One block to the amazing waterfront, the location is awesome for this property. We especially appreciated the ground level access to the private courtyard and the secure underground parking.

The location of this unit could not have been more convenient. There were plenty of interesting things to see and good places to eat within walking distance yet it was convenient for getting on main roads for our driving activities. The place was immaculate and having laundry facilities was a great plus.

We totally enjoyed our time at Carolle's condo! It was so nice to have the kitchen & laundry stocked so well. No need to bring any of the extras like a cooler or outdoor chairs.
You can walk right out the door to multiple cafes & restaurants. If you enjoy walking along a waterfront walkway, this is the place for you!

The appartment was a great base for exploring local tourist attractions. It was very comfortable for our family of three and well equiped. The portable airconditionner installed in the suite helped us through the heatwave. The building had a secured underground garage. The suite also featured a small lovely patio.

This review is written at the direction of VRBO as a step in an open case file about the billing experience with this Owner.The advertisement posted by Owner claimed the unit sleeps 5 people and there would be a charge for cleaning on the bill.On date of departure the Owner wrote us stating she would be charging us an additional amount for further cleaning.Upon leaving the property we followed the owners instructions completely as written to us. The Owner wrote we had expressly agreed to clean the unit to clause 3 of our agreement. She advised we then did not clean the place to the satisfaction of her cleaning staff and there was a stain on a duvet cover that dry cleaning could not get out. No evidence has been provided for either claim. After reviewing the terms of agreement, at the Owner’s direction to us, and our initial bill it has become clear - we were overcharged quite substantially on the initial bill than was initially advertised.Then she further used our credit card to charge us more for unsubstantiated additional cleaning and for an additional person when we had the appropriate number for the unit. We informed the Owner the place was cleaned prior to departure per the terms of agreement. We informed the Owner of her failure to abide by terms of her own agreement in overcharging us on the initial bill. The Owner did not respond to this correspondence. The Owner’s behaviour is both disappointing and fraudulent. The Owner refuses to honour her own contract, by charging more than agreed to on the initial bill without explanation and reason. The charge for further cleaning, is for cleaning beyond the terms of her own agreement, and without any evidence to support.This Owner’s billing practices and conduct should be reviewed.

Great weekend away!
We really enjoyed our stay at Carolle’s place! We weren’t able to contact for the check in process due to phone service issues but listing instructions were mostly accurate. I spoke to Carolle upon check out and she was a great host. Pets require being taken offsite for potty breaks but for us that was super easy. Right in downtown Nanaimo, walkable to so much!

Nanaimo downtown property
The location of this property in downtown Nanaimo was excellent for us as we were arriving by seaplane and did not have a car. It is within easy walking distance of the waterfront, restaurants, shops, and a grocery store.

Great stay in a safe and beautiful place
We really enjoyed our stay. Well equipped for cooking and entertaining our grandkids when they stopped by. Park , shopping and ocean close to condo. Nice underground parking and beautiful gated courtyard. Quiet building. Only downfall is visitor parking as their isn’t any.However , paid parking is near by. The host was excellent in communicating with us!! I would recommend this listing!!

Our first visit
We enjoyed our stay and proximity to the bastion walks and historic town. Well stocked and clean kitchen and all amenities were there. Comfortable beds and cozy duvets! We thought that the pet fee was a bit higher than what we are used to. Otherwise we felt good about our stay.

Nice Small Condo, Great Location - Recommenet
We stayed 6 weeks in January and February. Like others have commented the condo is quite nice. The beds are really comfortable. There is a queen in the main bedroom and a single in a small room by the kitchen. One commenter said there was no door on the small bedroom, but there is: it is a pocket door. The building and area is very quiet and very secure. Access to all the building's areas, including the courtyard is controlled with a small FOB. There are two entrances: one off the building's internal hallway and another off the courtyard garden. The courtyard would be a really nice spot to sip coffee or wines when it is warmer. We did not lack anything. There were lot's of condiments, spices, soaps, oils, coffee, teas, and paper products to start us off. Utensils and pots and pans: we did not lack anything there. The underground parking was a bonus. There is a grocery store, BC liquor store and large pharmacy about a 10 minute walk. When we checked in Carolle met us and took us through the condo, and the building and acquainted us with the building's rules and layout. The best feature of downtown Nanaimo is their waterfront and waterfront park, which is a block away from the condo. Nanaimo's downtown is is quite small and seems more like a small town's main area. There are homeless people in the area, but none ever bothered us. I think we only we asked for money 3 times in 6 weeks, and we were out every day walking around the area and even into the evening. The downtown shops are unique. There are good restaurants downtown and two good bakeries. One bakery, Mon Petit Choux, has Danish as good as you find anywhere. All in all, this condo was a great choice for us and we will look at seeing if we can rent again next winter.

Suggestions
Condo was well equipped and very cozy I would strongly recommend that maybe you might think about putting curtains on the living room windows for little more privacy because with the hose for the air conditioner it is impossible to completely close the blind

Comfortable Condo
This was a perfectly placed condo for a stay in downtown Nanaimo. We parked our car in the underground parkade and didn’t use it again until we left. Everything we wanted to see and do was within walking distance. The condo was clean, well-equipped and comfortable. We would stay here again when we next visit Nanaimo.

Great apartment, but hot weather!
Carolle has a terrific condo in the perfect location in Nanaimo! So centrally located, with great restaurants all around. And, the garage parking was a godsend, as construction of a taller condo building next door is really messing with on street parking as well as traffic flow.
For us, the weather was hot, and the condo has a west facing window wall. We felt terrible for running the a/c so much, but the temperature in the condo was still in the mid to high 70’s, even so. The a/c unit is only in the main room of the condo, but she does have a fan in the bedroom that we placed in the doorway to draw in the cooler air from the living room and kitchen. No perfect, but bearable.
Carolle will need to address the bathroom towel racks. Badly installed, they are pulling out of the walls. But, the bathroom, kitchen/living and dining room and bedroom were all clean and certainly spacious enough for us. We did oil the door to the hallway: it squeaked horribly! Think it is better now, so the entire hall’s residents will no longer know when we come and go.
Security is fairly tight, which we appreciated. And, the garbage/recycle room was neat and tidy, making it easy to keep any smells out of the condo.
You can tell that other guests have appreciated the condo, as there are spices, oils and vinegars and the like in the kitchen. Generosity from an owner can always be told by the extras in a unit. Here, that was evident.
The washer and dryer were terrific, as well. Thanks, Carolle!
In sum, we had a lovely stay. Just wish the sunshine had not been so enthusiastic!
