This property is one of a kind. Quintessential Maine Inn, comfortable and charming! Lake is beautiful and quiet with resident loons keeping watch over us. Property Manager Stephanie is super responsive.

This was an amazing place thats perfect for all ages.

It was exactly as portrayed on line. The fridges could have been cleaner, and toilet paper should be furnished. Besides that it was great and when I had to call Jennifer she was great. All and all it was a wonderful vacation/reunion. Weather could have been a little better but it didn’t seem to bother anyone
Thanks for having us

There were mouse droppings in the drawers, the kitchen cabinets and appliances were filthy. The house had not been cleaned before we got there. There was food in the freezer and cabinets. There were items on the shelves such as: a single earring, a hair tie, opened mouth wash in the bathroom cabinet, to name a few. It was obvious that the house had not been cleaned. The rugs and furniture were filthy and had a very bad odor. We had to wash the pillows, mattress pads (some were blood stained) and bedspreads before using them because they smelled really bad. It rained one day while we were there and that increased the musty smell from the carpets. The throw rugs in the bathrooms were filthy. Every window overlooking the lake was covered in spiderwebs. There were large spiders in the house as well. They have limited outlets in the bedrooms, so have extension cords running under the furniture. The upstairs railing above the living room, is very low and one spot was missing a cross rail. The stair rail was actually black with filth. The majority of the furniture has cushions which were dirty and smelled bad. The house needs a complete overhaul. The kitchen cabinets and appliances should be replaced. The rugs should be replaced. It should not be rented as is. The setting on the lake was absolutely beautiful. What a waste of a perfect location. We will not be back.

I can't say enough great things about the Christmas Tree Inn! Right on the water, literally gobs of room, a bathroom in every bedroom plus extra ones, dock for sunrises and porch for sunsets. Huge waterfront dining area sat 16 of us with room to spare. Huge kitchen with prep table, full stock of all the utensils needed, two giant fridges and two stoves. Family pets welcome. Flat for easy access. Lots of parking. Minutes to downtown. Game room. Fire pit. Safe, quiet neighborhood. Water view bedrooms (bring all your own sheets, towels, etc). Fascinating history! Best host EVER. So, so much more. Our very best family summer camp week ever, in great part because of this fantastically wonderful stay.

Our large family had a wonderful time during our stay at the Christmas Tree Inn. There was plenty of room for everyone. Everyone enjoyed spending time on the lake swimming and kayaking. Everyone enjoyed looking at the pictures located throughout the Inn. We would defiantly consider renting this again in the future.

The property was actually better than the on line pictures represent.

Great spot for large groups; lake and swim raft great for kids, large yard for playing games, dinning area could hold all 20 of us. Note they don't provide bed linens and that isn't explicitly stated in the description of the property. I think most people assume linens are included when you rent a house.

/We have had our large siblings reunion at Christmas Tree Inn for 9 years now. Every year we all say "Wow - what a place this is! Right on the water yet in the woods. Yes, it is rustic, but VERY cozy, clean and comfortable. Sand beach area for the youngsters just feet from the back door, great patio/deck for adults all just feet away from the lake yet in the woods. You will not find another place like this for a large get together. Price is fair. Owner Stephanie easy to correspond with. Highly recommend Christmas Tree Inn - just don't take our week :) Wayne Mahar, Syracuse, NY

This is our 2nd year at the Christmas Tree Inn and we love it. If you are looking for a comfortable family atmosphere where you can disconnect, enjoy nature, and the family, then you will find it here. We had up to 26 people and the property consumes you, you never feel in each others way. Each family enjoys the privacy of there own bathroom, a big kitchen for cooking, and a yard to host games. And right up the road, have your lobsters cooked for you, all you need to do is pick them up. It doesn't get any better then this. We will be back!

Once again we all loved this sprawling comfy lodge and already set a date for next summer's family reunion. It has absolutely everything a group aged 1 to 97 could desire. Loons to wake up and fall asleep to, beautiful lake views, delightful paddling and swimming, fabulous kitchen and dining room, great campfire pit and inside fireplace, lots of bathrooms, and loads to see and do in the area, including boat rides on Long lake and a private chartered cruise on Sebago Lake. Can't recommend it highly enough. Stephanie is also wonderful to work with.
