House was a little older and had some minor issues, to be expected, which we could live with. Main issue was the dishwasher did not work from day one of stay and the back and forth with the property manager to come to a conclusion was Poor! The dishwasher issue was never resolved

The location of the home and proximity to the beach is great. The house is relatively spacious and clean but there were two major construction projects going on during our stay which made it virtually impossible to enjoy the pool and outdoor areas. The home next door to the property is undergoing major construction — work began just before 7am every morning and went throughout the day. The noise routinely woke up our young children. The home on the other side of the property was having a number of large trees cut down so that added to the noise resulting in no one wanting to be outside for extended periods. The tree removal work also intruded onto the property we were staying at and made it, at times, unsafe to walk our young children to the beach. We would have appreciated being made aware in advance of the major work going on around this property as we would have picked a different rental. In addition, the pool heater was not turned on for our use until half way through our trip despite having made prior arrangements and payment for that.

Overall, the house was fine for our stay. Most importantly it was clean and bug free. There was plenty of room and the lay out is great. However, we had a number of issues that left us overall disappointed. Some examples:
We noticed early on that the pool was not filtering. The house has quite of bit of overhanging trees and the debris that falls into the pool is abundant. We tried to keep it clean with the included pool net but it had several holes in it. Honestly, it looked like it had been pulled from the garbage. In addition, the spa was apparently on a timer and would come on early in the morning. Since there were multiple signs warning against keeping the spa on too long and threats of fines if the pool was harmed by this, I had to get up early and turn it off multiple days. After repeated calls to the PM, the pool service eventually came out and addressed these issues.
The bottom of the grill was completely rusted out and you had to position meat strategically to avoid drippings falling straight through to the floor.
The toilet in the master bath would flush but not refill. An investigation revealed that fill valve was old and corroded and would stick after flushing. I fixed this myself.
Again, this is just a set of examples. There were more.
We've been staying in houses similar to this for many years and we are familiar with small things arising during our trips. In isolation, any of these (except maybe the pool) would have been easy to overlook. But in aggregate, it really gives the impression that the house is being maintained as cheaply as possible in order to maximize profit at the renter's expense. If you're looking for houses in this price range in HH, I would keep looking. We won't be back.

Perfect for a family reunion
We celebrated my husband’s 50th and our son's college graduation with extended family and cousins. The house comfortably slept all 13 of us. The pool, outside family room and tiki bar provided great entertainment. Short walk to the beach. We enjoyed our stay!

This house was perfect..bedrooms on 2 different levels, wonderful kitchen with all the cooking utensils and dishes any size group would need or want. Short walk to the beach where you will see everything from deer to dolphins...yep..deer.
We aren't a bicycle family but this would be perfect place for families that enjoy bicycling.
We walked to the SALTY DOG RESTAURANT many times...just a short walk and the food was delicious. We enjoyed watching a dolphin playing near the boats while we were there.
It was too chilly for the pool during our stay, wind was a beast...but we still had a great time walking on the beach and enjoying Family time.
We are already discussing coming back during the Summer months.

Review of house
We’ve stayed at this house before but it seems like it is getting run down. Their were some lights burned out and need to clean under table in front of couch!

Planned a gateway with family and this place was great with accommodation. There was only a concern with the paint in the deck and stairs. Strongly recommend to use something different that is not slippery during rainy days. It was not good after I felt down on the last day we stayed. Location is perfect and family really spent a good time.

Nice
Nice place. Could have been a little more maintained. Lights burned out, no hair dryer, no stopper in sink, etc.

We stayed in this home with close friends, their kids, and grandparents from both sides. The main attractions to us were the location as it’s a quick stroll to both the beach and Salty Dog. The house itself is spacious and has a fun outdoor setup with decent sized pool. The outdoor tiki bars, TVs and couches were a nice plus. Access to the beautiful beach with amazing sunsets is very close by and the location on the island truly can’t be beat.
Most of the house is nicely updated - one of the main bedroom baths could us an upgrade to be on par with the rest of the house. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious with a nice large laundry room and extra refrigerator.
There were some relatively minor areas where the house could be a bit cleaner. Mostly dust on some furniture type of issues. We had an issue with the hot tub not functioning for the week due to a mechanical issue (apparently VRBO won’t let me post the amount but let’s say it sounds like free plundered a week to heat the hot tub alone is price gouging by the way) and had some communication snafus with the property management company along the way but they ultimately handled the situation fairly and provided a small refund.
We had a blast and enjoyed our stay. We’d definitely consider staying here again as it was a good value for the location and size of the property.

Great Vacation
We had a great vacation at this property. Would have been nice to have use of the elevator as we had one guest in a wheelchair. However property was great - outdoor area was the best part and location was perfect for us.

Great House in Sea Pines!
Great house, great location in Sea Pines, walking distance to the beach, tennis, and Salty Dog/South Beach Marina.
2 families, 5 kids, ages 8-14 had plenty of room and separation.
The house was clean and well appointed. The management company was responsive.
Best part about the house is the lower level patios and pool/hot tub.
Thanks for a great stay!

Great house! Amazing outdoor space!
Amazing house. Nicely renovated kitchen that is very well supplied. We enjoyed many home cooked meals with all the goodies in the kitchen. For those with young kids, there is only one bathtub, other baths have stand up showers. The pool area is amazingly done and we spent many hours in the pool/porch area. Close to south beach marina, easy drive to other parts of the sea pines. Management company responded to all of our inquiries and requests and were helpful and responsive. Wonderful trip!

Great House in a perfect location!
We spent spring break here with 3 families with teen and pre-teen kids and, with 3 grown up rooms plus two separate bunks rooms for girls and boys, there was ample room for everyone. The house is fully renovated, beautifully decorated and the owners have thought of everything. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of very nice pots, dishes and utensils (so nice in fact we jokingly complained about the lack of junky plastic cups to take to the beach). If you want to cook, the kitchen has it all, including good knives, which is rare is a vacation rental. All the bed linens are new and high quality with plenty of pillows.
We had a blast with the pool, ping pong, corn hole, etc., and watched the NCAA basketball finals and the Masters on the outdoor bar TV. The outside space can’t be beat. Everything you need for a great time is there. Bring your beach towel and flip flops and you are set.
The beach is only a short walk and the South Beach marina and the Salty Dog are also a short walk away. Tennis courts and bike rentals are right there. Harbor Town, the Sea Pines Beach Club and the many restaurants in Forest Beach and Coligny Circle area are all within an easy bike ride. Our cars stayed parked all week and we all loved biking all over Sea Pines.
The management company was also great to work with, with easy check in and check out. We had some trouble with the pool and they came out right away to help us, and followed up a couple of times during the week to be sure we had everything we needed. The house was also spotless. We will absolutely be back to rent this great house again.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us for a memorable spring break with our families!
