We had a GREAT stay at the Wyndham. The location was incredible convenient to all the things we wanted to do in Kona. The complex was clean & staff was wonderful. We enjoyed the layout of the condo, and all the useful tools including a full kitchen and towels provided. We would absolutely stay here again!

When we walked into the unit, we all remarked on the musty smell. We noticed as the days went on that even our clothing felt damp when we put it on. The condos are low elevation with the ocean, but it seemed like possibly the use of a dehumidifier would help. We used the pool several days and I would give that five stars. The electric grill near our unit also five stars. We also noted that the unit was dark. The interior needs more lighting and perhaps a lighter color on the walls would help. Luckily, we were only in the unit basically to sleep as we were gone every day on outings. I think I would not choose to stay there a second time because of the humidity/musty odor and darkness in the unit.

Nice location and property. I would recommend. Only drawback is the timeshare sales pressure. Wasn’t too bad but still not what you go in vacation for.

We were very pleased with our unit on this stay. The large covered balcony was our central gathering place. Kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals and our beds were comfy! A pullout in the living area gave us some extra room for sleeping, and we were able to exchange our dirty towels for clean ones whenever needed, or to request more dish or laundry soap with just a phone call. We did use the washer/dryer unit in our condo for our clothes- it was a godsend! To fully see the sunset, we just walked across the street. The nearest public sandy beach is probably a mile away, a little far to haul beach supplies, but the two pools and accompanying hot tubs were very nice to have. We were also thrilled to see preserved & protected walls of an historic dwelling right in the property. Most days we were out and about, and it was lovely to return to the blazing tiki torches lining the drive! Mahalo!

This location was about a 15-minute walk to the downtown area for food/drinks, and check-in was smooth and easy. We walked to/from dinner each day, which was nice. The location was clean, nice, and quiet.

Good place because of size and price. Not near ocean but we knew that and fine. Very comfortable beds and furniture. Overall great stay. DON’T do timeshare presentation. Manager was held back from physically assaulting me. Very unprofessional

This is a very nice property. It’s not on ocean but close. Very clean and great size for a family. A little advice. Don’t sit through the timeshare presentation it was horrible and I was physically threatened by one of the managers because I said I wanted to leave I don’t want incentive. The person scheduling the presentation basically begged us to go even though we had zero interest. Don’t fall for it. The manager had to be held back by another employee. Extremely unprofessional

We had a great stay! The property was extremely clean and the grounds were immaculately landscaped. It is a gorgeous place! My only complaint is that the property is a time share and at check-in staff members were very aggressive about having us sit through a sales pitch. After our initial check in though they didn’t bother us about it. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed at 7 different properties on our Hawaiian adventure, and this was one of our favorites! It had all of the service and amenities of a hotel, with the space and features of home. This was our last stop before heading home, and having a washer/dryer for a family of 6 after weeks of travel was amazing! We loved all of the space we had, and the full kitchen. There were a number of grocery stores nearby. The lanai was so so heavenly. Our kids really loved the pools. We had the pool to ourserlves on the 4th of July and got to enjoy fireworks from there. We loved that the resort offered activites like a party with hula lesson as well. The staff was phenomenal. They were so helpful making local recommendations for tours and sites to see. We wish we'd stayed longer. This is the best VRBO experience we've had. We will definitely stay there again!

Very nice place with two different pool.
The apartment is very large with all commodity. Two bathroom and a big terrace to eat outside.
The vegetation and bird songs are incredible and you need two minutes walk to reach the sea.

The amenities were great. Lots space in the rooms.
Laundry was convenient.
The shower in the Master Suite could use some more water pressure.
Overall a great vacation rental.

Just doing a staycation with friends for my husbands birthday. Loved the layout of the condo, open parking, and we were right across the way from the upper pool. Only thing was that the beds weren’t comfortable and there were a good amount of black ants. Other than that, great stay!

Beautiful landscaping! Friendly staff! Only negative is the parking, there is no assigned parking for the unit. We came back late at night and the only parking that was open was super far. Other than that everything was nice, clean, and relaxing. The kitchen had the basics. The unit was clean and had the basic supplies as well. Washer and dryer were tiny but worked well. Property manager had great communication. We would stay there again!

Loved this location with views of the ocean and sunrise/sunset. Very quiet except for the resident rooster who begins his rounds around 6am-we loved it!! Would most definitely stay here again-close but not too close to the hustle and bustle! Wish the balcony had extra loungers-we fought over the one as it’s a perfect spot to enjoy mornings/evenings! Others guests were so friendly!!!

It’s a resort so you got the services. Not very new but things were sturdy and clean. The garden was certainly nice and well maitained. Our 2b2b was spacious and there was a kitchen which was convinient for a quick breakfast.

This was a nice home base for a visit to the Big Island. It was conveniently located to things in Kona. I do think you would want a car. (But only 1.) The apartment is in a timeshare company, so they may try to sell you on a timeshare. It is not a big deal to just tell them no.
