From the moment we stayed at Legacy Villas on our sister's trip, Karen and I were captivated by the serenity and beauty of the community. Nestled in a picturesque cove in the Santa Rosa Mountains, the architecture and landscaping is a feast for the eyes. Meandering paseos lined with palms accented by colorful tile fountains connect the Villas with the pools and clubhouse.
5-Star Community:
Legacy Villas is a gated community featuring 10,000 sf clubhouse, 12 saltwater pools and many fountains connected by meandering landscaped paseos. The quality of construction and number of amenities is impressive. The Clubhouse area features main pool area, workout facility and a hammock garden. The main pool area includes 2 pools, lap pool and spa lined with colorful Cabanas. The children's pool or disabled pool features easy access into pool and adjacent fun water features for children like the turtle or palm tree fountains. There is free wireless internet in the clubhouse. The Legacy Grill is open seasonally for a simple meals or an excellent cup of Starbuck's coffee.
Why Our Villa?
We chose this Villa for our family vacation home because of the location and floor plan. Located at the end of the Main paseo close to the clubhouse and main pools, the Villa is located on a greenbelt with incredible VIEWS of the Grand Fountain and Desert Mountains. It is an ideal location for families with small children and limited mobility (no stairs and steps to lawn area). Sip your morning coffee or dine on the private patio enjoying the spectacular views of the mountains highlighted by the sight and sounds of the Grand Fountain.
It is ideal for a large or small group. There are 2 suites on either end (King suite and Queen suite) and a 3rd bedrm with queen bed and full bath. The suites provide private retreats and the Living Room provides a cozy venue for socializing. The Living Rm, Dining Area and Kitchen open to each other and form a wonderful Great Room that opens out to the patio. The Living Room features a comfy sofa with queen bed and 52' Sony HD flatscreen TV. The Dining Area seats 6 comfortably and there are 3 additional stools at the Kitchen bar. The spacious Kitchen features granite counters and is fully equipped for your every need. There is wi-fi throughout and a phone land line. There are new cotton linens. We like nice things and make sure the Villa remains in top condition. Check out our photo art taken of the local area.
What To Do:
You may not want to leave the community, relaxing by the many pools and hot tubs - a perfect day in my opinion. Or perhaps a morning game of tennis or golf at the nearby courts or courses. We loved this house! It was perfect for our extended family of 6. We appreciated having all the light/fan switches labeled. The neighborhood was beautiful and the kids really enjoyed the pool. Also close to restaurants and shopping. We hope to return!

Loved this property. It has lots of space... perfect for a family trip. Bedrooms were great size, location was wonderful. And the property itself was super well appointed and cozy. We really had an amazing experience!

We had the best time at this place- we seriously cannot wait to get back! The location was even better than the photos with the mountains just steps away. Plenty of pools and views! The owners were wonderful with communication and very accommodating.

We love legacy villas and this unit is one of our favorites. It's well stocked and the managers take great care of their guests. Perfect for our family of 5!

Very nice and quiet gated community. A couple up front questions we had were answered promptly and the front gate had advance notice and approved access for all our family members. Plenty of free parking adjacent to the property. Access to the unit was easy using the keypad. The listing pics accurately represent the property and while we rented the entire 3BR unit, the way the outside and inside doors are set up, it looks like it might be possible to rent individual, smaller pods with varying amenities. This layout provided a lot of privacy among the various groups staying in the unit and the common living room, dining room & kitchen worked well for us. It is a ground floor unit and we could hear the group above us from time to time. Another thing to note is that it appears that some units might allow pets and at various times, we were able to hear barking dogs during our stay.
It took us a bit to find the extra towels, pillows, etc., but eventually we found everything we needed. We did have to purchase soft-soap, TP, and kleenex for several of the bathrooms . . . but other than that, the unit was equipped with most everything we needed. The individual AC units worked well throughout the different areas of the unit, although the one in the primary BR was very loud. It was nice that the TV in the living room had many HDMI ports and AC power available as we had various HDMI sticks and devices among us and were able to get everything to work fine. The one issue that should be addressed is that the large sectional couch in the living room is old and very worn out, making it very difficult to get comfortable in and hard to get up from. Several of us sat in dining room chairs while watching TV . . . if you're young and spry, the couch probably would not be an issue. All the beds and showers and bathrooms were great.
There are multiple community pools very close to the unit and because of them, several of us never even made it down to the main pools by the clubhouse.
All in all, the development was fine and in a great location. As far as the unit, we will definitely consider it for upcoming trips to La Quinta.

Perfect place to relax!
We were all super impressed with the property! We were here for weekend 2 of Coachella and the property manager made it extremely easy for access and use. Linens and towels were provided and it was the perfect place to relax in between days. We will definitely want to be back here again! The Legacy Villa staff was also very nice and accomodating upon arrival as festival goers.

Great Rental
We’ve stayed at the Legacy Villas several times and this is one of the nicest units we’ve rented. The unit was very clean, had a kitchen stocked with great cookware and knives for dining in, and a nice view of the mountains. The set up is perfect for families. It’s on the bottom floor and has three separate patio areas to relax in. There’s also a grassy area right outside the back door if the kids want to toss the frisbee around….if they’re not completely worn out from swimming all day. Skip was great with communication and checking in was effortless. We’ll definitely book again.

Perfect get-away!
The condo was impeccable with more than enough room for two couples. It would accommodate 6 adults easily. The grounds are beautiful and perfectly maintained! We have stayed in the Palm Desert area many times and without a doubt, this property and location are at the top of our list. If you want total relaxation and the feel of a "home away from home," La Quinta and this property, in particular, should be your first choice!

This property was wonderful! The unit was very nice and comfortable! The location of the unit was amazing and is tucked away on a courtyard with a big fountain looking at the mountains and was very quiet. We had easy access to multiple pools which was great. The property manager was very responsive with questions.

When you have kids, this ground floor unit next to a huge lawn is a great choice. Owners have also upgraded some things from a standard unit, like the super comfy L shaped couch and a HUGE flat panel tv in the living room.

Condo was great. Only less than perfect items are - the middle bedroom needs the tv replaced, the bath towels could be a bit thicker, and the locks could be switched to a combination code like many of the other units. Nothing major, just “niceties”.

Great rental!
We’ve rented at Legacy Villas before, so I can tell you hands down, this is one of the best villas! So spacious, great layout (master is very private), nicely decorated and even had a fun selection of board games! The home was meticulously cleaned, which, during this pandemic is nice to know. The owner is very gracious and easy to work with! Great, prompt communication! We’d love to rent from her again!

MLK Getaway
Our stay was wonderful! The condo was nicely decorated and very homey! The beds and linens were very comfortable! The complex had a ton of pools to choose from. The main pool needed reservations due to COVID but it wasn’t a problem. we made an appt for later in the day and visited another pool until our scheduled time. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the desert and will definitely stay at Legacy villas again! Jeanne was very helpful and responsive to all of my questions!! We give our stay 4⭐️!!

Perfert Home away from Home
We were looking for a home base while horse showing in the desert. This was perfect place for my teen girls to balance distance learning and horse showing. they each had thier own room and could stay out of eachothers way. I was abe to cook dinner and keep them focused on everything they had to do. Check in was easy and the community felt very safe.
