About this house rental

Come home to a tree lined street, quiet neighbors, and a newly refurbished house. It can all be yours here in Salem. We just finished a multi year renovation of this 1941 cottage. Everything in the house was built with your comfort in mind. Freshly finished antique oak floors, arched entryway, crystal doorknobs, etc. Everything inside the house is new, clean and luxurious.

Are you tired of looking at other peoples nick-nacks all over their Airbnb house? Not here! Everything is clean and pristine but homey and comfortable. Enjoy a very quiet stay in the neighborhood close to downtown Salem, Salem Hospital, Willamette University and wineries in the West Salem Hills. Day trips to the beach, Portland, Silver Creek Falls Park, and mountain skiing are easy from this house.

Relax by the fireplace in the living room or by the fireplace in the basement TV room. Watch our new 60 inch 4000k high def TV. This is your home away from home.

Come cut fresh flowers out of the garden each week all summer, fall, and spring. Lush landscaping with many old time flowers such as Lilac, Peony, Rhododendrons, Daffodils, Candy Tuft, Hydrangeas, Ferns, etc. Pick fresh tomatoes and blueberries right from the yard in the summer.

The Jefferson Cottage was an ideal base camp for two of us doing the Ironman Oregon 70.3. The property was clean with fully supplied kitchen that came in handy for preparing the pre-race spaghetti dinner. It is located a few miles from Riverfront park ( about a 5-8 minute drive). I fully encourage anyone looking for a clean, safe place to stay near downtown Salem to strongly consider the Jefferson Garden Cottage.

Hands down, the best VRBO house we've ever stayed it. This cottage has it all - wonderful lay out, room for everyone, great beds and pillows and good communication from the hostess. You won't be disappointed if you stay here. We'll be back!

This was probably the best vacation rental I’ve ever stayed in. Super clean, huge, amazing theater/game room, well stocked kitchen, nice bathrooms, comfy beds, and a great location. I plan on staying here again next year when I’m back in town.

Lovely home in a quaint area. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen well stocked. The owner was very easy to get ahold of and provide assistance as needed. Loved this place!

Great property, it definitely has a cottage feel, close to the fairgrounds in a nice comfortable neighborhood. There is plenty of street and property parking. The house is also well stocked with all of the possible needs of your own home. We hope to be back!

This is a beautiful, well maintained, modern property. Lots of very helpful amenities like extra outlets and plug-ins for computers and phones. You could easily have more than 6 people here between the three floors of rooms, 2 bathrooms. There were only 3 of us and we had a lovely, comfortable time. The kitchen had lots of amenities to cook with. I can’t say enough good things about this house and the host. Would stay here again.

We really enjoyed the basement rec room. Great space and tv. Toys for kids were nice. Upstairs living room with fireplace was nice for reading. A very nice place.

The Garden Cottage is an excellent choice when visiting Salem. The rooms were spacious, the beds were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and wonderful! Overall, the cottage was comfortable, had excellent amenities, the kitchen was fully stocked with all you would need to cook excellent meals. Thank you.

This property is a gem. It is beautifully maintained with all the amenities you need. The beds are extra comfy with down comforters and incredible pillows. The front room with the fireplace is magical. We would stay here again ! Thank you for creating such a lovely home away from home! 10/10

We had a wonderful stay at the Jefferson Cottage! The owners have done a wonderful job in updating the home. The kitchen was somewhat small for our group of 4 adults but we made it work. Communication was quick and easy and the owner went above and beyond when we had trouble with the AC. The cottage was convenient to all of the attractions and hiking trails we visited. We enjoyed our stay!

Kitchen was well stocked though it could use a cheese grater. Comfy beds. Bathroom fans are somewhat annoying since they turn on when one walks into the room. Fireplace was a welcome delight! Yard is lovely and the neighborhood peaceful.

The house is very inviting and cozy. It was perfect for our group of 6 adults. We loved having private spaces for each couple but also plenty of room to gather together. I will echo other reviewers who complimented the garden, it's stunning. And a charming place to start with a cup of coffee. I hope we'll be able to stay again when we're up there next year. Beautiful home in a quaint neighborhood! Comfortable beds, lots of living space, and all the amenities fit our needs perfectly. The gardens are bursting with blooms and we loved having fresh flowers on the table! Highly recommended for a peaceful retreat!

The property is very clean, tidy and plenty of room to spread out. Beds were comfortable. Extra surprise to have two washer and dryers. We had everything we needed to cook a nice holiday meal. The owner was very rapid at responding when we had questions and even accommodated us when our table was interrupted by weather. We would stay here again.

The Jefferson House was updated and clean. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. I had pictured the neighborhood as more walkable. We were not able to walk to get coffee or food. Restaurants and coffee shops were driveable. We wanted to watch the Ohio State football game, but there were no directions on how to switch the TV from streaming to television. When contacting the manager she told us she did not know how to use the TV and that it was best not to disturb what the owners had in place. The Keurig needs to be cleaned. The water was brown with specks of mold.

We loved the house, the back patio, the lush flower gardens, roominess, the neighborhood and the excellent service from the property manager and owner. This location was nearby everything we wanted to do, and excellent shopping and restaurants. We will stay there again. A totally positive and outstanding experience!

This cottage had a great location and was very comfortable. The accommodations and amenities were plentiful and we enjoyed the beautiful gardens. The close proximity to I-5 made it very easy to take day trips to the surrounding Willamette Valley. Would definitely stay here again.
