About this apartment rental
If you enjoy the simple life, come to us on Cayman's beautiful North shore. This is a place where you can go barefoot all day long and never have to dress for dinner, where you can swim and splash, build sand castles or snorkel out to the reef from a beach that is practically your own. We are part of the original Cayman Kai resort, generously laid out over 3 acres. Our lodges have screened front and back porches and the characteristic pointy roofs, which collect rainwater, provide us with cathedral ceilings and have withstood many a hurricane. All lodges are fitted with louvre doors which allow the breezes to circulate freely and obviate the need for air conditioning. Whether you are a botanist or a biologist, a birdwatcher, a dreamer, a reader, or a family with children, you are likely to enjoy your stay.
Rum Point: Need action? Rum Point, a local favorite, is just a short walk or drive away. Red Sail Sports provides any kind of watersports, including Scuba and excursions to Stingray City. There are picnic tables and food, the Shipwreck bar, a gift shop, showers, complimentary beach beds, sun and shade. We recommend it during rough weather and especially for small children. It is protected from the wind, and the water is really shallow.
Botanic Park. Mastic Trail.: The Botanic Park, gold medalist at the Chelsea Flower Show in London, lets you view a dazzling array of native and tropical plants. Visit the Heritage House, identify water birds at the pond, walk the nature trail, meet the Blue Iguana.
To see Cayman's interior, explore the Mastic Trail. Takes a few hours. All the snakes are non-poisonous.
Other activities: Check local events: Pirates Week, marathons, farmers markets, duplicate bridge, church services, Governor's Open House. Make sure to visit Pedro's Castle, a reconstructed plantation house. Have a look at 7 Mile Beach. Go dive, see the dolphins, do pottery with the children, eat out, dance, be happy

This is one of those places that one is almost reluctant to tell people about. It’s clear that for many folks, a Grand Cayman vacation means Seven Mile Beach. But for those who prefer privacy, quiet, and pristine natural beauty, this is the ticket. The house is clean, spacious, and well laid out for a family or two couples — plenty of doors, and everything opens to the porch and sea. The owner was responsive and friendly. We wouldn’t change a thing.

We loved how close the cottage was to Run Point, Kaibo and the private secluded beach right at the property. Kirby was very responsive and ensured we were prepared and taken care of.
We snorkeled off our beach every day and saw a lot of amazing sea creatures. A few things to note, there is no air conditioning and with the fans, it helps, but can be fairly warm. While there were screened in porches on both sides, we did experience a fair amount of small gnats that got through. It is also an economy cottage, so don’t expect a high end experience. It was not a concern to us as we got what was expected based on the photos and we’re pretty much out and about on the island or at the private beach the whole time!

Property is just as described by the host. The beach and snorkeling on site is great. Spent hours in the screened porch looking out at the water while having a coffee, food and cocktails. Sea Lodges are a safe, quiet and respectful neighborhood. Used the host’s charcoal grill a couple times and the kitchen area including the blender. Only thing I couldn’t get to work was safe deposit box. Also enjoyed Botanical Garden, Starfish beach for a sunset and Vivine’s for some Cayman cooking. We had a great stay.

This beach cottage paradise is as tranquil and peaceful a place as I have ever seen. Spotless, cozy and so comfortable with quiet, friendly neighbors and literally ON the beach. We fell asleep every night to the sounds of the waves and breeze through the palm trees. Kirby is a fantastic host; he checked in several times to check on us (we experienced an unexpected storm during our vacation), attentive to every need, and full of recommendations. Great for kids or couples looking for peace and quiet. The cottage itself is definitely not a brand new resort. It feels like a warm, comfortable home that has seen a lifetime of great memories. Not a party atmosphere, but a minute down the road from Rum Point if that’s what you’re looking for. Quick drive to great restaurants, grocery stores, etc. The snorkeling steps from our front door was breathtaking; gorgeous array of fish, corals, conch, birds, and more. 11 out of 10, beats any resort by a long shot, in my book. Definitely will return, very highly recommend!

Absolutely perfect apartment, even the ice was already made, the only thing the apartment could use is a new frying pan, but besides that everything was perfect, would stay again and recommend to others.

Everything was as described and expected. We had a wonderful stay. Snorkeling from the beach was exceptional, especially if you take a raft or kayak over the reef. We saw several octopus, reef and nurse sharks, rays, angel and parrot fish. We will definitely stay here again.

We checked into this condo for what was supposed to be a 6 night stay but we left after one day as it was not meeting our expectations for what we wanted our vacation to be.
The pros of this place were:
It was located on the beach with a nice view and a good cross breeze to keep it a good temperature and is very close to the restaurants at Rum Point, the bedrooms were big and the beds were comfortable.
The cons were a lot more which was why we left:
The place is old and has never had any upgrades at all, the windows don’t have glass just louvers so it was not secure, it would have been no effort for someone to enter when we were not there, the sofa smelled terrible and made it difficult to sit anywhere near it, although there’s screened porches on the front and the back enclosing the windows and doors the mosquitoes and black flies were able to get in and we were all bitten all night the one night we stayed there, there is no air conditioning (this was a first for a vacation rental and we’ve been to many) there’s no pool and no dish washer, the kitchen is a kitchenette and not easy to prepare a meal, the appliance are old and rusty and the cleaner forgot to clean up a spill in the refrigerator before she left so we had to clean it before we could put the groceries away. There were no TVs in the unit so unless you bring a laptop or iPad you can’t have a movie night.
I contacted the owner and asked for a refund of 5 days and he gave 50% of his fee only. Not impressed.

The cottage is in a great location, had wonderful view, and has easy access to beach and snorkeling. Kirby was wonderful to work with and very quick with responses to our questions. We had a great stay and will definitely return in the near future.

This is a great spot on the north side if you're looking for quiet and snorkeling! The accommodations are stellar and we spent most of our time on the screened in porch with a beach front and ocean view. There's plent of room and if you want to eat in it's fully stocked with the needed equipment. Snorkeling is great right off the property if winds allow, and we say all sorts of fish, from large stingrays and baracuda to the smallest of fun fish around the coral heads. You can also got to Rum Point or Starfish beach to snorkel We had a great time, went to Tukka, Viviennes Kitchen (stellar rum cake!), and Big Tree BBQ on the East End, as well as Kaibo and Over the Edge. This place is NOT about the hustle and bustle of 7 Mile Beach and you need a car. We've stayed there twice and will stay again! Thanks to Kirby!!

We loved the back porch with its breezes and view of the water. We could leave our doors open at night and hear the sounds of the wind and sea. Kirby is responsive and easy to work with. We'll be recommending it and hope to stay again!

Perfect if you don’t want the constant hustle of 7 mile. Super clean, basic, and very comfortable accommodations. The screened in porch is perfect and all doors can be left open to enjoy the beach breeze at all times.

My sister and I loved our stay. This property is walking distance to Rum Point, there’s amazing snorkelling off of the very quiet beach. Very clean and quaint and had everything we needed. Beautiful location.

This property was one of the easiest most enjoyable places we’ve ever stayed. Kirby was super helpful and friendly to work with. This was our second time and will not be the last.

There is no AC but all windows and doors are shutter style with open air to outside screened patios. Plenty of fans for airflow. Fantastic owner very helpful. Cayman Kai is the place to go in GC. Restaurants, grocery, public beaches, docks at Kaibo for fishing trips or stingray city. Rent a car and stay away from the hustle and bustle of 7 mile beach.

Amazing stay, almost private beach, super clean.
This is a great place. The views are better than indicated in the listing photos in my opinion. The beach is amazing, very private and very close. This isn’t one of those beachfront properties where the ocean is off in the distance, it’s down the sidewalk, and boom. The condo is what I would call economy as far as finishes go, but very well set up for the price. It had everything we needed and more. The master bed is very comfortable. We didn’t use the guest room so I can’t speak to that. The unit was very clean. I’m a neat freak and I couldn’t find a single issue with the cleanliness. I would definitely return.

Charming cottage
This cottage was the perfect get away for our family from Cape Cod. It has just what you need. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked and the lay out of the house works well for a family or 2 couples. The screened in porch is hard to leave. The beach right outside your door has some of the best snorkeling on the island. Kirby was quick to respond to questions and spot on with recommendations for places to visit. We loved the "Back Then" book on the book shelf that provided another perspective on the history of the island. I highly recommend this home on the North side of the island to those who want to get away from the bustle of Georgetown.

Fantastic location, nice, practical property
The property is very nicly located, fantastic snorkling directly from the beach. A large patio and the fact that there are two bedrooms with two connected bathrooms each on either side of the kitchen/living room make it very practical for either families or two couples.
It is not what one would call a luxury appartment but very clean and functional, location and practical use are almost impossible to beat. Everything you need is there and working (should something break, there is immediate reaction and replacement). Extremely friendly and fast responding property manager and owner! We had a wonderful time! No doubt that we would stay in this apartment again on future trips to Grand Cayman.

Enjoyed our stay immensely ! Had a hard time pulling ourselves away to explore the island when it’s so lovely right there on the porch!

Love this place!
This property is located on the North End, away from the crowds and the traffic. A short walk to Rum Point and close to Kaibo Yacht Club. Beautiful white sand beach at the backdoor and the best snorkeling we found all week. Dark skies and bright stars were georgous ... exactly what we wanted!
The condo is comfortable and clean, needs a little TLC but not much. Large screened in patio is amazing and the beds were comfy! Washer and dryer were great!
Owner is easy to reach, provided great tips and was very responsive!
We are already talking about our next trip and this would be our first choice.

Christmas paradise
We spent Christmas here and it was one of the best vacations I’ve ever had. We went snorkeling every day right in front of the beach house and saw the most incredible wildlife. Snorkeling to Rum Point was also a fun adventure, seeing sea turtles and rays amongst the many beautiful fish. This is some place I would definitely return to. Kirby was great to work with and had lots of insight and ideas of fun things to do. What a great experience!

We had a great stay at Sea Lodge #25. Everything was as advertised. The rental was clean and had everything we needed (except a pot holder). The grounds were clean and well maintained and the beach out front was very nice. If you swim way out there is fantastic snorkeling on the reef.
It was a quiet stay as there was no TV and limited internet. We saw this as a plus as screens tend to dominate our lives. We grew closer as a family and had a lot of fun.
The only drawback I found was that there was no AC. Coming from a colder climate, we were not well acclimated to the constant heat. There were fans and a nice sea breeze, and most of the time it was pleasant to tolerable. Ac would make it perfect. However, AC cost money and the price of the rental was in our budget so...
Chrisolms market down the road charges robbery prices. Better to shop in Georgetown.
7 mile beach is a 50 minute drive and beyond amazing!
Frank Sound Church of God Chapel on Frank sound road is a slice of heaven! Powerfully Pentecostal!
Rent a car its no problem driving on the left.
Little odds and ends needed attention (a light or two didn't work, a couple louvers fell out of the door) around the rental and if your fussy, dust off your wallet and rent a top end place. We are not fussy and didn't mind, it adds character to the place.
Until next time dreamy Grand Caymen

Great location
Such a great location on the quiet north side of the island right down the road from Rum Point. The highlight was the fantastic snorkeling right out our back door. The beach was shared with just a few other people staying at the property so it was really quiet. The place is nice and clean inside. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here!

Spring Break at Cayman Kai
We LOVED our stay here! It was a perfect place to spend a week at the beach with our kids. The sunrises & snorkeling were amazing! We snorkeled at some other beaches too but we enjoyed our beach the most. We saw a nurse shark on our last morning! Stingrays, conch shells, so many different kinds of fish and the coral was beautiful! We would come back here in a heartbeat. The screen porch was awesome. There were never more than 4-6 people on our little private beach. It is close to Rum Point if you want a little more action. Kirby provided great information of things to do, restaurants, places to shop and answered any questions that I had promptly. He was a great host!

One of our favorite spots!
We have been to the Cayman Kai Sea Lodges many times. We have snorkeled all over the world and this is our favorite spot. We saw turtles, spotted eagle rays, and thousands of beautiful fish in among the thriving coral at the reef.
Sea Lodge #25 is the perfect spot to relax. Cook dinner and relax on the porch looking at the deep turquoise of the ocean. The sun rise is spectacular. The unit has everything you need - fully functional kitchen, washer and dryer, games, and puzzles.
Hope we can come back soon!

Lovely Place
A lovely place on the quiet side of the island, we enjoyed having easy access to Rum Point & Kaibo Yacht Club which are both great - and the generally slower pace than over at Seven Mile Beach. Owner responded very quickly to all requests, and was super accommodating when our flights were delayed due to weather. Great experience, wonderful trip, would recommend.

Great location and views
Great week. I last stayed here in 1988 and not much here has changed. This unit needs a little love and maintenance, though.

Pristine condo right on the ocean. Feels so private.
Word has it developers have tried to buy this condo complex but need unanimous owner consent. Thankfully the owners have stood strong to protect this unspoiled piece of the island. It is minimalist in a good way - no frivolous distractions - but has all you need for a fabulous stay (plenty of beach towels, amazingly comfortable king bed, washer and dryer, kitchen supplies). So private but also an easy walk to Rum Point, Kaibo Yacht Club and Over the Edge restaurant - all great spots. Highly recommend.

Quiet Piece of Paradise
Our family thoroughly enjoyed the Sealodge 25. The lodge provided the perfect jumping off point for all that the North Side of the Island has to offer: Rum Point, Kaibo Club, and Starfish Point. The views from ever room were amazing. The lodge was perfect for our family of 4 with all of the amenities needed to have a great holiday. We have only been home a week and are anxious for a return trip. We'll definitely be back!

Rest and relaxation!
Wonderful home on the quiet side of the island. The home/cottage has everything you need! Perfect for a family vacation, including teenagers. We relaxed and enjoyed days snorkeling and scuba diving. Went to Kaibo Beach bbq down the road and to Rum Point. Rented jet skis from kaibo beach for a tour to stingray city and more snorkeling. Great cottage and a place I would recommend to friends and family and would return to myself.

Relaxing Getaway On Best Part of Island
We stayed at Seven Mile Beach 14 years ago. That was special, but this time we decided to stay on the north shore at a more secluded location. We were very glad we did. Especially after traveling into Georgetown one day and seeing how busy and crowded it had become since last time we visited. We also noticed that Seven Mile Beach had eroded quite a bit from when we stayed there 14 years ago. The north shore was slightly more developed, but it was still very peaceful and relatively low populated. At this north shore location, we also had a beach almost all to ourselves. The snorkeling here was excellent starting about 2/3 of the way out towards the barrier reef. Some others staying there drift snorkeled starting at our location all the way down to Rum Point and then walked back. Even along the shore we found interesting creatures and corals. We were concerned about the lack of air conditioning, but it worked out fine and we were relatively comfortable at night. This location is just minutes away from Rum Point, but far enough to avoid any significant activity or watersports at that end, though a few boats and one high-speed jet-ski went by one day. We can't wait to go back to the island. It was a treasured vacation.

Relaxing, serene and private
My wife, 3 teenage daughters and I had a great stay at Kirby's place. Wish we were there right now! Just steps from the beach and the snorkeling is awesome right out front near the reef. Good restaurants near by and away from the hussle and bustle. The ocean breeze and fans made it surprising comfortable sleeping at night without AC. You will find both Kirby and Barbara (the cleaning lady) to be very helpful answering any questions you might have. We strongly recommend.

Fabulous beachside cottage
Just returned from a fantastic week at Sealodge 25. The location of this home was simply beautiful - the ocean views from the back porch cannot be beat. You are steps from the water and falling asleep to the sound of the waves was fabulous. The home is very simple but has everything one could need and fit our family of 4 without a problem.
While we loved the location, one should know that it is an area full of private homes and condos, with only 2 restaurants close by. It is more off the beaten path and quiet versus Seven Mile where you are steps away from restaurants and activities.
Kirby was a joy to deal with - very receptive and quick to answer my questions. I am hopeful we will return one day soon!

Simple and peaceful. Away from the crowds and steps from the ocean.
LOVED our stay at Kirby's place on the north side of Grand Cayman. What we loved-
. the constant ocean breeze
. really comfortable beds
. bright and airy, very outdoor living accommodation, high ceilings, simple decor
. you can count the steps to the beach
. SO quiet. We rarely saw more than two other people on our felt-like-private beach
. crabs running around on the sand in the mornings
. spending a couple afternoons at nearby Rum Point, in case you want the briefest touch of touristy stuff (pina colada on the beach, other people)
. sooooo much sea-life in the ocean. Saw a lobster, a baby octopus, many conch (live and not), fish, more fish, more more fish
Some tips for travelers-
. if snorkeling, bring your own snorkel gear or rent from red sail just down the road
. the kitchen is as spartan as it looks, so if you plan on doing a lot of cooking, you'll need to be flexible and a little creative
. discovered the blender was broken, which I only mention because it's a bummer to only find this out at sunset with a fist full of ice and pina colada mix
Would return in a heartbeat. One of our favorite family vacations!

Amazing view!
Amazing view and listening to the water all night was great with the wind coming through. Very windy side of Grand Cayman at night but still enjoyable! Quiet complex, felt like we had the whole complex to ourself. Beac is pretty, they come and clean it frequently. Close to Rum Point and other things

Great place to stay
My husband and I and our 2 young adult children stayed here over Christmas break. The accommodations were perfect and Kirby gave great information before arriving so that we knew where to rent a car, where to shop and which restaurants to visit. We were able to cook most meals at the condo, which had all that we needed to do so. We were right on the beach and even though the wind was blowing every day we were able to get out to snorkel and saw some life. The condo is tastefully furnished and even had games, books and a DVD player for our entertainment. It was clean upon our arrival; beach towels were provided as well as sand toys. The area is the quieter side of the island which we really preferred, especially after a day of venturing out to the busy parts. We would stay here again.
