About this house rental
Spacious and well appointed beach home overlooking the turquoise waters of Boat Beach and beyond. Come and enjoy the lazy seaside atmosphere of this boutique holiday destination.
Twin Pines provides open plan living in a wonderfully private location. The large open plan kitchen and dining area feature timber floors and floor to ceiling glass doors which open to create seamless indoor / outdoor living. With a choice of three decks, there is plenty of room for all guests to either soak up the sun overlooking the beach, enjoy a good book or have an afternoon snooze with the sound of the waves to relax you. Watch for the dolphins which regularly swim at Boat Beach!
Twin Pines is perfect for families with a separate rumpus room for children downstairs. While the parents relax upstairs, children have their own space.
At night, enjoy dinner on the deck. For those chilly nights in winter, there is a wood fireplace to keep you warm.
The rear pavilion contains three queen size bedrooms which all open onto the deck. There is also a 4th bedroom containing 4 single beds (not bunks). The master bedroom includes an ensuite and all bedrooms have ceiling fans.
The main bathroom (including bath), separate toilet and laundry are also located in the rear pavilion.
Location
Seal Rocks has been described as the last frontier. Local activities and sights include a number of beaches, lakes, lighthouse, walks, fishing and whale watching.
Please note Seal Rocks is located approximately 35 minutes from the nearest major shopping centre in Forster. While we have adsl wifi at the house, the speeds can be unreliable.

Twin Pines is a beautiful holiday home with spectacular views, spacious living areas, and everything you need for a comfortable stay with family and friends.
5.0
The house is perfectly sited, nestled in the trees and with a perfect view of the beach, which is a short 2min walk from the front door.
There are multiple living areas so a diverse group (e.g. multiple families with kids) can each easily find a space to hang out.
Everything worked perfectly and Sally is a communicative and thoughtful host. Highly recommended.

Twin Pines is a beautiful holiday home with spectacular views and lots of open space to spread out, be comfortable, and relax, while in the company of family and friends. The property manager is very friendly and helpful. I'm already looking forward to our next stay in paradise.

We come back every year to Twin Pines with family and friends. It is perfect for a beach holiday, masses of room, well stocked kitchen, huge deck with views across the beach to the horizon. It is always clean and is thoughtfully designed with all that we need.

Just 5 days. House is easy to stay in. We brought our own mixmaster for the 2 birthday cakes. View just great. Easy to walk to lighthouse. Plenty of rooms to “split off” for quiet times.

Family Holiday
We LOVE this property. It is a a fabulous design for a larger group, with large indoor living spaces, and also a huge wraparound deck with views and also another separate outdoor balcony deck. The house is charming and unpretentious, the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need, the fridge is huge, there are two outdoor showers as well as plenty of bathrooms indoors.

Short Break
This property is better than the pictures (and huge living area) and nestled perfectly in the bush out of the wind with an expansive view of the beach/coast. The deck is fantastic with loads of space. Perfectly equipped. Also, Sally was responsive and very helpful. The whole stay relaxing and easy from the moment we arrived. I highly recommend this property.

The location was great just a short walk down the drive way and the beach is there. The house was very roomy however we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the house. All the draws were extremely dirty. The oven was full off grim and so was the BBQ. The pots had not been cleaned properly before our stay so we had to clean them before we used them. The pots were so old that the food stuck to the bottom of them so if you want to use pots and pans I would suggest taking your own. The knifes were blunt as well. The mat leading out to the BBQ area was so mouldy I had to move it down stairs. The toilet seat in the main bedroom ensuite was broken. Over all I would recommend staying elsewhere. This was the third time for us staying in seal rocks and we have never before had issues with the up keep and cleanliness of a home.

Premises had many positives and a few negatives.
The location of the premises and its outlook were great.
The house is huge.
The dining/kitchen/lounge area and adjoining deck were huge and functional and a great place to relax. The water views from these areas were spectacular.
There are 4 bedrooms available with 3 having a queen size bed each 1 having 4 single beds. There is 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets. A number of the beds were uncomfortable when tested.
Much of the equipment and utensils provided were of good quality and most of it was clean but the BBQ and a number of pots and pans were very dirty. If steel wool had been provided my wife and I would have been happy to scrub them clean. Only scourers were provided and they had no chance of cleaning the build up of muck on the pots, pans and BBQ.
Although the house was generally clean, there were a number of small areas that could have been cleaner.
Although the premises are good, the description "luxury beach house" is in my view an exaggeration.
Communication with the outside world is also difficult with no mobile phone reception and intermittent text message reception. When contacting the owner to advise of certain issues, we had to do so via text message. Sometimes those messages failed but if we stood in a particular part of the decking at certain times, the messages went.
Seal Rocks is very isolated and there are no supermarkets etc so you need to take all your food requirements with you. There is a small general stall which sells a limited number of items. For general shopping one has to drive to Forster or Bullahdelah both of which are over 30 kms away.
As my wife and I were the only ones staying there, we considered the price expensive for what we got. We stayed for 5 days and it cost us over $3,000.
The house could easily cater for 3 couples and 4 children and if the cost was shared, then it would be more economical.
The beach is a very short distance away and can be reached with a 2 minute walk. The beach and surroundings are great.
So if you are looking for a place that is close to the beach, has spectacular views, is comfortable and conducive to relaxation and you do not want to be interrupted by mobile phone calls, these premises fit the bill. It is expensive for 1 couple only but if shared with others, the individual costs can be reduced.

Property is looking a bit tired.
Could do with more plumbing maintenance in main bathroom.

Summer bliss!
We enjoyed a beautiful Australia Day weekend with 5 star weather - making the most of the perfect lighthouse beach conditions every day and returning home to Twin Pines for yummy dinners each night, we saw many dolphins from the balcony and made use of the great BBQ. Two days of rain at the end meant we could enjoy the cozy house and read and play games - everyone had the best time. Love this house!

5 star property
Overlooking gorgeous Boat Beach the views from the huge veranda are sensational. The house is even more gorgeous than it looks online as the open plan living kitchen area is vast and all the doors slide away into the walls. The perfect house for a larger group such as 10 people, space for everyone.

Twin Pines
This is a beautifully designed beach house with fabulous views. Better than and with more space than suggested in the brochure; with lovely large decks and large light kitchen and living area. The kitchen is very well stocked with equipment that works, the beds are comfortable and there is ample cupboard space.
The host of the property was very kind and helpful. The check in details were clear and easy and she helped us sort out any queries or issues.
I would definitely recommend this house for a holiday.
