THIS UNIT IS RENTED AS A 2 BEDROOM, 1 BATHROOM APARTMENT - OWNERS LIVE NEXT DOOR WHEN IN TOWN ** Charming home located on a quiet street with an oversize fenced yard. This freshly painted unit provides an open floor plan with plenty of natural light, complete with beautiful terrazzo floors. Updated kitchen with new cabinets and appliances including dishwasher and built in microwave. Includes Wifi and Amazon Fire TV in both bedrooms and Living Room. Only 3.5 miles from Manasota Key and less than 10 miles from Casey Key. Pets are welcome, for an additional fee, subject to insurance carrier approval of breed(s). * Bikes on site but NOT included in the rental - use at your own risk. Shamrock park is a short (1.1 mile) bike ride away, with tennis courts, basketball courts and biking/walking paths along the inner coastal. Watch the planes take off and land at Venice airport, see the dolphins swim, and take in the beautiful sunsets. Your pets will appreciate the location too, as we are only 3 miles from Woodmere Dog Park and 5 miles from Brohard Paw Dog Beach Park. Close to MLB spring training for Braves and Orioles... We love Venice and every year we try to visit with my family. This property was perfect for 3 of us. Everything was as described and Laura (host) was very nice and responsive. I look forward to planning our next stay. Thank you, Laura!

This property was pretty much as described. Home was very clean and check in was a breeze, the only issue we had were the ants, but that is an easy fix. Also, there is no control of the AC, it is not allowed to go below 74 degrees which in the summer is makes it a little warm.. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

The house is very clean. The location close to Venice and all the nearby beaches. We had a great stay over Labor Day. The yard was great for our dog. Overall wonderful stay.

This is a very clean and up to date apartment. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots/pans, utensils, etc. You are provided with one roll of paper towels, so you may need to buy more, depending on the length of your stay. (This also applies to the toilet paper...1 roll for your stay.) There are no condiments or spices kept at the property. If you will use aluminum foil or plastic wrap, you will need to bring that, too. Keep that in mind when shopping for your meals.
The location of this property is just a few minutes from Venice Beach and downtown Venice. There is a nature park nearby. Great for walking. You will love watching the birds in the backyard and out front. Many different species, big and small!
The apartment is cozy, welcoming, and CLEAN! The beds are comfortable and the shower is roomy. There are 3 tvs in the apartment with a variety of programming options.
The host makes the whole process easy and enjoyable.
Great choice for a long or short stay in Venice.

The first morning that we woke up they had begun construction on the house. The front pergola was taken down & they jack hammered the sidewalk & porch on the front of the house.
Also when we arrive the owner had a cat & she told me that the pervious tenant loved her cats & they would let her cat come in the house. That was a huge problem for us since my husband is allergic to cats. He had to take medication the whole time we were there.
Have always enjoyed our stays at VRBO's but this was not the greatest.

My family and I had a wonderfully relaxing week in Venice. The property was perfect and in a super quiet neighborhood. Laura went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed while staying at her property. 😃

We could not have been happier with our stay. The home was clean, comfortable, well equipped, great location, etc. Our host, Laura was a wealth of knowledge and a pleasure to work with. Clean and nicely decorated interior! Beds were very comfortable!! Owner lives in attached apartment. Curb appeal was a bit lacking. We enjoyed our two week stay!

Had no Wi-Fi was the only problem. The area was nice, my dogs enjoyed the yard to play. Able to hand up my dive gear to dry for the next day. The owner was very nice.

This is a nice property close to everything. Neat and clean; no issues at all. We had a small snafu with the door lock but the owner was very responsive and the fix was fast. Brought our dog and the yard worked out well even though IAN blew down some of the fence. No Ian damage here - great value!

My mom lost her house during Hurricane Ian and we could only find a hotel room in Tampa, and only for 4 nights. There was no availability anywhere and many areas still had no power. I was starting to come to terms with sleeping in the lanai of her flooded house when Laura messaged me that her rental just got power back and we were welcome to it.
The house is very comfortable and absolutely felt like home. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, parking was very convenient, and the house was stocked with everything we needed to settle in for 10 days. The ability to have a hot home-cooked meal in our cozy place was so critical during that traumatic time. We had plenty of space, access to a washer and dryer, strong wifi, and peace and quiet. Laura came out to meet us when we arrived and she was so gracious. I can't say enough good things about this owner or this place.

No Worries - Be Happy!
We were extremely happy with our one month stay. The home was comfortable and certainly a great value for the Venice area. Perfectly located to enjoy the many nearby beaches and allows for easy day-trips to the Sarasota and Fort Myers areas. Others have written about Laura's hospitality and she indeed goes out of her way to accommodate any requests. We will definitely utilize this property again for our next trip to Venice.

Although the interior has been updated. The exterior is lacking. I know why they don’t show the outside in the listing. The house on the outside looks run down. The screen door is hard to close. The front area smells moldy. Needs to be pressure washed. There were piles of rotting wood in the yard which made me nervous for rodents and snakes. The washer and dryer are Located outside in the back. So you have to walk through the yard to do wash. I had to rewash all the towels before I could use them because they smelled very musty/soured when I went to use them. I left the towels clean and folded for the next guest. I wasn’t happy that the owner has the guest take out trash by 7:00 am. Most folks on vacation shouldn’t have to get up early if they don’t want too. The interior of the home is nice. We had a fabulous time despite COVID-19. We loved the house. Beaches were perfect. We ate out one night and had takeout. Played games, read, and watched movies. I loved the screened in area for my morning coffee.

Easy Check in, Very Clean, perfect for small family.
The property was clean but the grass was very long especially in the back yard. The indoor areas were very clean as well. It's well maintained. We had some issues with the TV in the bedroom not functioning properly (not turning on manually & remotes not working). That was basically the only problem we had. It was very comfortable and accurate to listing description. Overall very happy with our stay.

Clean, comfortable South Venice getaway!
My wife and I took the opportunity to get away for a few days deciding upon Laura's South Venice Beach home, we were very pleased with our choice!
The home is very well appointed, extremely comfortable and Laura is very fast to respond to communications. We loved taking the ferry to the private beach where we found our share of shark teeth, as a matter of fact we went back 3 times it was so much fun.
I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing, fun time in South Venice Beach!
