This place is so magical! I stayed here with my husband, sister and her 4 kids over 4th of July weekend. There was plenty of space for all of us to feel comfortable, and Julie and her husband provided everything we needed to feel at home. I loved having my coffee on the porch in the morning while I listened to the birds chirp. The property is so private that I don’t think anyone could hear the kids’ little shrieks of joy and laughter while playing in the yard. I couldn’t ask for a better place to make memories with my nieces and nephews.

Lovely cabin in peaceful location. Secluded. Nice patio and yard with firepit. Leave your boat trailer at the bottom of the hill! It is close to launch site.

This is the second time we stayed at Julie's cabin and it did not disappoint! As previous reviews note, this cabin is immaculate and has everything we needed for our boating adventures since it is only minutes away from the James Creek boat launch. We enjoyed our meals on the deck and fires and smores in the evenings around the fire pit.
We accidently locked ourselves out one evening and Julie responded to our phone call immediately! We already have this cabin booked again in September with our friends from the DC area. Can't wait to come back!!

Wonderful as usual. Great place to relax. Julie is a great host. Who else would leave you the makings for s'mores? Good communication with her, as usual. You won't be sorry if you book a stay here. We've been going for years.

I rarely leave a review but I thought it was 100% warranted in this case. The house was the cleanest, most orderly, and well-maintained cabin I have ever stayed in. Everything in the house had a function, was well thought out, and it had just about everything we needed. It's centrally located and perfect for whatever you're looking to do. In our case, mountain biking and relaxing.
The owners responded quickly and are top notch.
Thanks again!

We love this cottage! Always clean and has everything you need. The property is so quiet and relaxing. The host is always so accommodating. I don’t think I ever had to call her, but, she always leaves contact info in case we need something. I highly recommend staying here. We spend our days at the lake, and nights at the fire pit. This is our 5th family vacation here, and we hope to come back many more years!

This is the second time we’ve stayed in the cabin, this time was just as wonderful as the first. With two grown daughters it’s so nice to have a quiet place to get back to just being a family without the hustle and bustle that life throws at you. Fishing, hiking, and kayaking is so much fun, nights by the fire and lots of laughing.

Beautiful well maintained cottage tucked away in the woods. Very private! Has everything you need.. If you want to escape this is the place. You can get to nearby shopping, if needed, within 15-30 minutes. Seven Points Marina is a 15 minute drive where you can rent pontoon
boats and enjoy the day on the water.

My husband, adult daughter, fur baby and I had a wonderful 3-night getaway at this cozy cabin. The cabin is spotless and very well equipped. The weather was great and the complementary smore fixings were appreciated. One of the best VRBO homes we have stayed in.
5.0
We've stayed in many VRBO house over the years and this house BY FAR was the nicest, cleanest and most organized. Seriously. It's in a great location too. There are other houses but none of them are right on top of you. There's a main floor bedroom and an upstairs that has 2 other beds in it. The bed on the main floor was VERY comfortable. The house is very charming and nicely decorated. But I honestly cannot get over the cleanliness. It has all the amenities you could want. It has a flat screen TV with a plethora of channels. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you might need to make a meal. The shower (again spotless) was great and had good water pressure. As far as the surrounding area...this was my first time out to the Raystown Lake area. From the house to the nearest grocery store (Giant) is like 18 miles. Just so you are aware. Nothing nearby was open it was all closed for the season. There is the James Creek boat launch right down the road from the house so that is very convenient. We didn't bring our kayaks for this trip, we rented instead and went out for an afternoon from the Shy Beaver Launch which isn't too terribly far from the house but the James Creek launch is less than 10 minutes away. Much more convenient. We'll bring our boats next time. I imagine in the summer the whole area is jumping, which is why I would avoid it as I don't like crowds, and I'm not a people person. So for me/us it was perfect to visit in November. And the weather more than cooperated - it was gorgeous. I can't say enough good about this house and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family. I hope to stay there again in the future.

Had a wonderful stay, as usual. Enjoyed making hot dogs & s'mores at the fire pit. Made use of the washer & dryer during our stay. So nice to have that available to us. Julie is such a great hostess. We appreciate the care she puts into her lovely cabin for her guests. We'll be back, of course.

The cabin was more than we expected. It was exceptionally clean and well stocked. Sine the weather was so nice for mid-September, we spent most of our time outside on the deck dining and visiting. After the sun set, we enjoyed a fire in the pit making the complimentary s’mores and hot dogs. We absolutely loved this cabin!!

We loved the private and picturesque setting. The home was very clean and you can tell that the owners take pride in caring for their property. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. It is always helpful when the towels and linens are provided-Thanks! The deck was perfect for eating our meals, playing games, reading a book, and watching the sun come up in the morning. We were able to enjoy the lovely patio and fire pit area.. thanks for the s'mores fixings! Hope to be able to return for another visit in the near future.

This was our first time visiting Raystown lake and this cottage was a perfect fit for our family. Our children loved the spacious loft area and the place was very clean and well cared for. We felt so cozy and comfortable the second we settled in. The driveway was a little tricky maneuvering a boat and trailer but the nearby boat launch made boating a breeze. And trust me, this lake is beautiful! It was so spacious and gorgeous no matter where you looked and our kids had so much fun tubing, wakeboarding, fishing and exploring different parts of the lake. We even captured great photos of bald eagles along the shoreline. This was the perfect getaway for those looking to disconnect from devices and spend some good quality time together out in nature. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and made the renting process seamless. We would love to return next summer!
