Perfect location...away from crowds but close (just outside your door) to great snorkeling and nice beaches. Views were outstanding as well.

Family vacation and we rented 3 condos. All three were wonderful. They were clean and had all the amenities that were needed. Thank you again for your hospitality

The location is great. Away from 7 mile beach and all the traffic. The beach is 40 feet away and is very quiet. Next to the location is a tiki bar, restaurant and beach that could meet all your needs if you didn't want to go anywhere.
Great stay

Great serene location on Rum Point. Snorkeling was amazing right off the beach! We saw more sea turtles and stingrays here than any other beaches. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to go back!

It is a very nice quiet place to stay. The condo has everything you need. Nice patio to chill at evening times while looking at the ocean. If you prefer quiet neighborhood and don't mind driving to the city for almost an hour if needed - then this place id for you

Lovely comfortable apartment with a lovely view of the sea.
Unfortunately we had a very windy week so weren’t able to snorkel at Rum Point as we have in previous years.

This condo was everything we wanted and more! It was spacious, beautifully decorated with an amazing ocean view and fully stocked with everything we needed for an enjoyable vacation! We enjoyed our week at The Retreat #22 very much. From swimming and snorkeling at Rum Point to fantastic meals at local restaurants - we didn't want the week to end.
Our hosts couldn't have been more gracious. They answered any questions I had quickly before we arrived and helped with our grocery delivery thew day before our arrival. They even accommodated us by letting us check out later when our flight was delayed. We couldn't be happier and will definitely stay here again in the future!

We’ve been to Cayman a couple of other times and always wanted to stay at Rum Point. It was all we hoped and dreamed it would be. The condo was perfect and had everything we needed. The host was easy to contact and brought us pickleball paddles when we asked. The condo has the most beautiful view of the ocean and the layout of the condos makes them feel very private. I hope with the updates to Rum Point that The Retreat doesn’t change a thing!

Snorkeling was the best!!!!💖

This was a great property and just as pictured. The patio gets morning sun and so evening meals without having to bother with sunscreen on the porch were nice! It’s walking distance to the Rum Point pier and other visitors to this same location said there was great snorkeling. Just a heads up- the beach was quite rocky and full of sea grass. Better places to swim include starfish point (about a mile or so away) and on other side of the island at the 7 mile beach (which will take about 45 min of driving). Highly recommend the Queen Elisabeth II Botanic Park about 15-20 min away from condo. It was beautiful and also has an amazing kid area with a splash pad. We did the self guided tour and it was perfect.
Lastly, bring non perishable food, sunscreen, etc. if you can, because food is quite pricey on the island! There isn’t an affordable grocery nearby, so grab groceries near the airport before heading to the condo! Most groceries close at 6/7pm on Sunday. The one grocery near is there if you’re in a pinch but not somewhere you’d want to do all your shopping at.
We loved this condo! It’s a bit of a drive if most of what you want to do is on the western side of the island, but quite lovely if you’re ok with staying somewhat nearby or don’t mind driving!

The views were much better than what is shown in the pictures. We enjoyed an unobstructed view of the beach and ocean to the north from both the lanai and the living room. The ocean is very close to the unit and the views are outstanding. We enjoyed the snorkeling tremendously. We saw rays and turtles just off the Rum Point side and the coral on the north shore and around the point is in great shape and beautiful

We really enjoyed staying at The Retreat. Condo was just as listed and had plenty of room for our family.

Very spacious unit. Well stocked. Everything super clean. Great gym and pool. Easy check in and such. Sunrises from the unit. Sunrises and sunsets on the beach. Beach is very uncrowded with fantastic snorkeling right in front. Quiet area but some some nearby restaurants you can walk to and grocery store options nearby. White Sand Water Sports brought us kayaks, snorkel gear, t-shirts and took us out to see bio-bay and stingray. We will definitely be back for years and years!

We really enjoyed our stay at The Retreat #22. The location was perfect and the condo had everything we needed and more! Check in was a breeze and there was good communication with the host. We had more than enough room and the bed linens, towels and beach towels were plentiful. Comfy beds too. Kitchen was stocked with everything you could need.
We spent a lot of time right at the beautiful, quiet beach. Great snorkeling right off the beach too! We saw eagle rays, barracuda, lion fish, parrot fish, tang and more! It's an easy swim out from east side of property and then let the current take you!
We would not hesitate recommending this condo and hope to be back!

Clean, cozy home away from home. Amazing view. We were either snorkeling in front of the property or relaxing on the screened porch. Everything we needed or wanted was within a 30 minute drive. Other reviews were incredibly helpful to make our choice this was the right area for us to stay in the island.

Our first visit to this condominium, but have stayed in this complex before. Love the location

My family of 5 (including 3 children under 12) enjoyed our stay in unit #22 at the retreat at rum point. The unit is on the third floor so ability to climb stairs is important but the views from the screened in porch are absolutely beautiful. My children enjoyed the pool everyday. My older boys did the drift snorkel with their Dad out front and saw turtles, nurse sharks, healthy coral and many fish. A walk down the beach a few properties past the new resort beside the retreat made a good entry point and the drift took them to directly out front our property. There is a rock wall to the right of Rum Point in the shallow bay that provided great beginner snorkelling. We even saw lionfish and squirrel fish.
The sunsets are spectacular from the beach!
The condo had plenty of space for the five of us. The kitchen was well stocked and the dishwasher as well as laundry facilities were great to have. There was a large supply of snorkelling equipment, including masks and fins for adults and kids.
We rented a car and drove all over! My kids were able to snorkel Eden Rock, see turtles at Spotts Beach and swim with many fish at Smith's Cove. We played in the crystal clear water at Governer's Beach (great parking lot). We also spent a few hours at Camana Bay (climb the lookout tower and look at the amazing mosaic artwork on the walls). We did spend a few hours at the Turtle Farm. My five year old loved the waterside!
We enjoyed dinner at Over the Edge and lunch at Kaibo Beach bar. We went to Eagle Ray's for lionfish tacos (east end) and Tukka. My kids liked watching the Blowholes on the east end. Rum point was still closed (covid) but we enjoyed the seclusion!
Chisolm's was a great little grocery store (and the only one open Sundays).
I would highly recommend this condo and my family hope to return one day. Thank you for allowing us to use your space for a very memorable and much needed holiday. A week is never long enough!

Condo was excellent. Great floor plan and location within the resort.
Would have been nice to know that everything at Rum Point was closed. Put a real damper on our trip.

Great time. Everything was as described. Rum Point is more "non touristy" area and it fit our family needs perfectly. Everything we needed was in walking distance. (including beach front bar/restaurant.) Best to get groceries on way to Rum Point as nothing within 20 min. But property owners told us everything in advance so we were prepared. Very central location. Restaurant has a pier where you pick up boats for your daily excursions and even a small reef we could snorkel on simple by walking out. no need for fins. Great for beginners. Water was clear but weather can change that daily. Rented a car for week and drove all over the island. 7 mile beach was beautiful and more touristy. Some may prefer this side of the island but for family and close by activities our family loved it. Great place to stay!

This was our first visit to Grand Cayman and had no idea which part of the Island would be best for us (just myself and husband). We chose Rum Point, heard it was quiet and it was. There is a bar, restaurant and gift shop next door. If we wanted to go elsewhere we had to drive and it is a bit intimidating driving on the left side of the road so we didn't venture out much. We did make a trip to 7 mile beach, unbelievable difference. Rum Point is more windy and more seaweed but good snorkeling out a bit. Seven mile is clear water and better for swimming. Red Sail is a dive shop next door where we could book excursions, Stingray City is a MUST!! Awesome trip hope to get back someday.

Unit 22 is a beautiful unit and has a good view for the sunrise, but you will have to share it with a little construction. There was no work on the weekend and we were out and about during the day and weren't bothered by it at all. It will probably be finished soon and won't be an issue, but it was a surprise. The actual unit was well stocked with extra snorkels, floats, towels, dishes, and a few condiments. If you have six people, then you may want to bring extra toilet paper depending on your length of stay since each bathroom gets two rolls. They also give you one roll of paper towel which was plenty for us. We used all of the bedrooms and sleeper sofa and loved having three bathrooms since we had six people. There are beach showers around the complex so we could all rinse off and not have a long wait to change after every time we snorkeled. The snorkeling right outside was amazing!! The location was perfect because we wanted a quiet location. There was always a beach chair available and plenty of room. The Wreck Bar next door was a great place to grab a bite to eat. We rented a car so it was easy to get around and it was a great spot to have as a starting point for day trips. Everything was clean and comfortable for our family which included three generations. The teen boys loved having their own beds and grandparents had privacy and a balcony with a view. We loved every moment.
