Like a previous review of this property it was a bit more than I usually spend for a VRBO but from the moment my family pulled up to the drive we were in love. The neighborhood was quiet, the views amazing and the house was gorgeous. We had neighbors in the guest house almost every night but it was still very private and we saw them next to never. The communication from the owner was excellent.

My family and I came for a family wedding. It was our first time to the Sedona area. The Oasis Retreat was an amazing stay! We loved the beautiful architecture of the home. It was inviting from the moment we opened the door. The owners had everything clearly set up for an easy arrival. All the amenities the home offered was just what we need to feel at home away from home. Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to the area that wants a very nice stay away from the busy tourist scene down in Sedona.

I’m a tough critic of homes. This place was fantastic in every way. Great lighting with the skylights. Very clean. Great collection of books and maps to help with hiking. Probably the best stocked place we have stayed at… spices , olive oil, plastic bags, etc. this made it very convenient. We also saw a coyote in the front yard one morning which was cool. Highly recommend for a unique stay in Sedona

We had the best experience at your property. Just two of us, so we splurged with a little more space than we needed...but it was so perfect! Two sitting areas, big kitchen; loved the layout of the space. We had not been to Sedona in 7 years and BOY is it busy with traffic! Staying here, in Jack's Canyon...we loved the peace and tranquility the area/home provided; while still close enough to Sedona to go for galleries, dining, car show. Hiking trails are so close to the house.
We're really grateful to have spent 6 nights with you.

Staying in the home was a great way to experience Sedona. The care and consideration with which its owners maintain their space was a treat to experience.

This home is gorgeous! The views of the red rock mountains from the home and neighborhood are great. The home is a very well maintained and equipped craftsman style home that met our needs perfectly. I would absolutely recommend this home for adults or families with older children. It’s in a neighborhood away from town and you experience a sense of peace immediately upon arrival. The owner was very responsive to my emails and seemed kind and friendly.
If you have a large vehicle, I wouldn’t even attempt the driveway. Park on the street and walk down the drive.

This place is in a beautiful tucked away canyon. We loved it. The whole house has a unique design. We were very comfortable as we used it as a home base for our adventures. There is so much to do in the area including hiking, jeep tours, shopping, and hundreds of unique artsy shops. You really can't go wrong. Finally the internet wasn't bad at all for us.

This property is a very special place. Located in a quiet neighborhood it is a peaceful retreat after a day of hiking on the beautiful Sedona trails. The house has been lovingly cared for, comfortable, and unique. I especially liked the many windows and skylights, and the tv/sun room was my favorite. One evening we were visited by a bobcat on the porch. It was a bit cold to enjoy the outside seating areas, but would be an excellent spot to enjoy the stars in the dark sky neighborhood. Would definitely consider returning.

The location of Katie's house was beautiful and very easy to get to and away from the busyness of Sedona. We found a great breakfast place down the street next to Clarks Grocery Store. I believe the name is Red Rock Cafe. The views to walk around the house were awesome. The house itself was as described. We did have neighbors on the other side, but we saw them only once in the 4 days we were there and that was while we were both heading out to hike that morning. This was our first trip to Sedona, and it won't be our last.
Thank you.

We loved the layout and design of the home, the comfortable beds, the well-stocked kitchen, and beautiful setting. We felt like it was a remote getaway, but it was actually very close to hiking, coffee, and restaurants. Best of both worlds!

My wife and I enjoyed our week+ stay, we made it our home and it was comfortable and quiet. It is 10 minutes from town and cell phones only work on the Wi-Fi, that was a plus for us-PERFECT!
The house is so wonderful, it takes you back to Old Arizona, Art Deco touches and thoughtful attention to comfort.
Communication with the owner was easy and accommodating.
Best for a couple or small family. Would work for very close friends who don't mind sharing the shower area.

We loved this delightful property, tucked away in a beautiful neighborhood. It was very quiet and private, even with others staying at the property next to us. The hosts were so helpful, instructions were very clear, which made checking in and out a breeze. The home was well stocked with anything we could need, we were all impressed! We only wish we could have stayed longer.

This was my 2nd time staying at at this property and it was just the space I needed to relax and rejuvenate. Katie's home is clean, comforting, calming, and warm. My intention when going to Sedona is always to heal and reflect. I could not ask for a more welcoming space to do this in. I promise you will want for nothing while staying there.

We stayed for 4 nights while visiting the Sedona area. Our stay here was everything we were hoping. The home is beautiful, the bed was so comfortable, and the views amazing! We loved the unique layout of the home and beautiful landscaping. Definitely plan to visit again and share with friends!

My husband and I stayed here for our daughters wedding. We wanted to be a little out of Sedona. What a perfect place! Quiet, clean, surrounded by trees. Everything worked, there were windows everywhere, and we really loved watching all the wildlife playing, resting and having a drink in the back yard. How peaceful! We will be back, as we really enjoyed the serenity of the area. A little bit of heaven!

240 Longwood May 20 - 22
It is difficult to put into words how much we loved being at 240 Longwood.
The logistics were 100% easy and clear, from the instructions to the door, the summary of the thermostats, and the laundry room door. All good and useful instructions!
As for the house and property itself, "gem" is an excellent word for this place. The aura of this place inspired a level of introspection, self-care, peace, and appreciation that I can't really put into words. The architecture, the books, the furnishings, the windows, the sky lights, the finishes, the artisan tiles... everything was timeless. I felt like I was in magical Sedona. I felt like I was in Japan. I felt like I was in Hawaii. We were transported to many places from this single location and will always remember it. We loved the DVD collection. We really loved the CD collection and CD player. We used the laundry room and also admired the album collection. The music and movie collection reminded us of our home in California. The neighbors also made the neighborhood special. I jogged the neighborhood a few times and every time felt more at home, greeted by waves as folks (who had noticed I was doing laps) were out watering plants and hanging on their front patios. On one of my runs I ran into Antoine (lives past 240 opposite side, north corner) and we chatted about his friend that climbed Rabbit Ears and his recent work to create a fire break around his home and his sick brother and the drought and fires. OMG, THE XYLOPHONE WAS SO MUCH FUN! I sat out on the back deck and serenaded the lizards in the morning! It was so much fun.
A few things we noticed might need a little work:
1. The front door latch does not spring anymore but as long as the deadbolt is locked it stays shut.
2. The back door to the deck does not catch to shut so if the wind blows and the dead bolt is not locked it will open by itself.
3. The screen on the back door to the deck is off track. My fiance righted it as best he could but the bottom track is very tough to open and close without bending over to pull/push it.
4. The oven buttons are pretty well worn out... but they still work! I used the broiler and it worked great so no big deal there but just FYI.
5. I noticed the center section of the grass/lawn in the back yard had a growing dry spot.
One thing I would love to plan is another visit. Goal is hike the Rabbit Ears loop trail from the Jack's Canyon Trailhead and hope find someone with a horse that needs riding.
Peace!

Great property. Large. Well equipped. Great location. Wish it had a better view and better outside patio. Love trees but can’t see mountain. Zero cell service, slow wi fi and no tv.

One of the best
My wife and I enjoyed our stay for four nights. The house is very special with interesting architecture and decoration. Very very quiet. Everything worked fine. As was told to us before our stay, the internet signal and cell phone signals are weak due to the location of the property. We downloaded some movies from Netflix before we left for the trip and watched them on our laptop. They also have some videos that you can watch on their rather small TV. Overall very satisfied.

Another great stay!
This was my second time enjoying Sedona from this quaint property in Oak Creek, and this time I brought my girlfriends from NY and CA. The three of us slept comfortably, enjoyed yoga on the back porch, and spent our days hiking Sedona’s beautiful trails. Tucked away from the traffic in Sedona proper, this home is quiet, shaded, and close enough to enjoy downtown Sedona’s restaurants and shops. (And the book collection is one of the best we’ve seen!) We will definitely be returning…Thank you Katie for being so responsive and friendly!

Serenity in Sedona
This property is splendid for a truly serene vacation. The views are absolutely breathtaking right from the front door and the home itself is fully equipped for lovely home cooked meals after a day of hiking, exploration or shopping. It is nestled in the red rocks near Oak Creek village and away from the crowds and traffic of downtown Sedona- but easy access if you want. The host is thoughtful, responsive , and communicates well- making this a great choice.

We just loved this home for our vacation! It was perfect! Kitchen was well equipped, the home was so cozy and welcoming. The yard was fantastic as well. We sat outside every chance we could as its beautiful and quiet. It’s close to a grocery store, lots of restaurants and activities. I highly recommend anyone to stay here!

Relaxing Getaway
This house was lovely and peaceful located in a very quiet neighborhood. We loved all of the attention to detail in the architecture and spent much of our time in the sun room. The house is off the beaten path and away from the crowds which provided the perfect retreat for us! We would definitely recommend this home to anyone visiting the area.

Charming home in wonderful location
My family and I stayed here during my daughters spring break. The house and location are so charming and quiet. Beautifully situated on the property to create a private oasis. Even with additional guests renting the annex we felt completely secluded. The house was very clean and well stocked for anything we needed during our week long stay. We will miss our time here. It was the perfect place to stay while exploring the area. We absolutely fell in love with Sedona!

Terrific Sedona Getaway
This property is charming. It was perfect for us and another couple to stay for a couple of nights to celebrate our friend's 65th Birthday. Katie (the host) was terrific to work with and was very responsive. The house is in a lovely neighborhood (great for dark sky viewing of the Milky Way from the rear deck!), close to excellent hiking and not too far from the "city" restaurants. We absolutely loved our dinner at Dahl & Di Luca Ristorante. It could easily compete with the excellent restaurants we dine at in San Francisco. And after our great meal, we came back to the house to start...and finish (!) a 500-piece jigsaw puzzle of old Sedona provided by the hosts. Really fun time!

NICE COTTAGE IN PINE VALLEY
We have stayed in many rentals over the years and this is our favorite. The location is excellent away from the touristy areas. Very quiet and private cottage in a friendly neighborhood. The architecture of this cottage is amazing the wood, the flooring, the stone fireplace, and the windows are beautiful. This is by far the best stocked rental we have rented everything you could want with the exception of no television . The owners are very prompt if you need anything.

Well-Crafted, Peaceful Home in Oak Creek Neighborhood with Great Red-Rock Views
This is a lovely house in a quiet neighborhood near the Village of Oak Creek. The neighborhood is just south of Bell Rock and Courthouse Rock, two prominent and popular Sedona rock formations. Just stepping out onto the street outside of the house gives you beautiful views of the rocks/cliffs, and just a short 8-10 minute drive brings you to parking areas for popular hikes around Bell / Courthouse Rocks. A good grocery store and restaurants are just few minutes away in Oak Creek. It's a 20 minute drive to the shopping and restaurants of Uptown Sedona, and then around 5-10 minutes more to West Sedona and popular hiking trails in that area. Katie was great with the house/arrival information.
The house and grounds are some the nicest, thoughtful, peaceful, and well-crafted of any of the VRBO rentals at which I have stayed. It was just my wife and I staying at the house, but the rental would also be appropriate for two couples or a family with 2-3 children. There are two bedrooms of similar size with a bathroom shared between, but, e.g., one couple could use the additional guest half-bath as their "main bathroom" except for showering. There is a large living area with seating for 4-6, and a smaller sun room area for 2-3 that connects to a small private deck (which cannot be seen from the other rental apartment attached to the house). There were some other renters in the apartment during our stay, but I didn't feel like we lost our sense of privacy. The kitchen is nicely equipped, we appreciated being able to use the laundry facilities, and enjoyed the superb collection of books in the house. I also liked the small work desks in each of the bedrooms. If I return to Sedona again (and I hope to, it was beautiful), I would have this house at the top of my list, perhaps followed by some properties in Oak Creek Canyon (I didn't really care for the touristy area in Uptown Sedona proper). Overall, I really liked the "feel" of this house, the design of the different spaces in the house, the flow of the indoor spaces into the outdoor spaces, the fact that the neighborhood is quiet and somewhat isolated but close enough to essentials, and the fact that the house is close to the Bell/Courthouse area.

Beautiful setting, lovely, spacious house. Everything we needed in the kitchen. We were only here a few days but enjoyed the quiet area and the roomy living space. Would definitely stay again if we return to Sedona.

Relaxing, beautiful, and serene
The title says it all. My husband and I hadn't been anywhere since the pandemic began and a getaway was sorely needed. The house was so pretty, neat, very clean, and cozy. We had everything we needed except for TV service which my husband missed but he survived haha. Loved the location too. It was so close to shopping, restaurants, and hiking. Katie responded quickly to my texts and was very helpful! I wish we could have stayed longer! Thanks for everything, it was wonderful!

Beautiful escape that will make you want to linger
We enjoyed our time here very much. It was a great basecamp to explore Sedona. Amazing views and nice to be a little bit outside of town. The house is well setup for everything a family needs. We didn't do much cooking, but the kitchen was well equipped. Internet is slow but usable (we had one Zoom call that went okay). They have a selection of DVDs and CDs which was nice (no need to stream anything). We enjoyed playing music from the collection and had a movie night one evening after a day of hiking. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Nice property - opportunity for improved communication
Stayed here Thanks giving weekend. Overall property was nice and very clean. The grounds were nice and the house was nicely appointed. However, we were very surprised that the property received so many 5 star reviews and nothing less.
We received check in information from host and upon arrival found the information confusing.
1. Host did not explain that there are TWO units and we were in the right unit and not the left. Fortunately, the guest in the other unit arrived while we were trying to figure out how to get in and explained the situation. We were thankful since calling the hosts was a challenge because of poor cell coverage (was mentioned in the instructions). Got the impression from conversation the other guests had similar trouble. This was somewhat frustrating as we arrived when it was dark and the grounds and entry area is not well lighted.
2. Received instructions regarding the thermostats that were also confusing and I have quite a bit of experience with HVAC systems. The instructions stated that there were two thermostats which there were. It also had TWO sets of instructions. One that said do not use the top T-stat, the other stated to use it. The physical unit also had a note but when troubleshooting which one to actually use, the top one did trim on the blower.
We eventually figured it out but if something has been disabled, it is best to remove it. We would also recommend reviewing the check in instructions as they are contradictory. As multi-property hosts ourselves, we appreciate the effort hosts put forth and is why we decided to give 4 stars and not 3.
The issues we came across are easily correctable (even prior to the next guest) and would just recommend speaking with the hosts before your stay to avoid any confusion.

Wonderful stay here
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. It looks exactly the way ii is described and was very comfortable for us for the month that we stayed here. The owner was extremely responsive to everything we asked her about and needed during our stay here! We hope to return here again.

Beautiful retreat!
The property more than met our expectations! We were torn between the beautiful surroundings of the home and exploring the area of Sedona . We managed to do both, but plan to return to this home in the future! The home itself had everything one could possibly need and more. Thank you for making our stay memorable!
