Overpromised and overpriced.
Overpromised and overpriced.
House generally unclean. The stove was never cleaned. Bathroom mats had never been washed. Deck furniture is falling apart. Walls have not been painted in years. The carpet is old and not clean. Misrepresented golf privileges. The owner is not a golf member (social only). On a positive note: The amenities of golf, pool, courts were great.

Overall nice weekend with family
Overall nice weekend with family
Pros: Large home with 3 floors. Plenty of room to spread out. Nice covered porch with seating. Nice neighborhood/facilities and location. Great Price Cons: Not directly on lake. No lake view. Wifi didn't work entire weekend. Needs some maintenance. Lived in home. Boat dock rental fee. Far from grocery store. Stuck at gate entrance because owner wanted to communicate through text message instead of the homeway website (which is how we communicated 100% of the time leading up to check in).

Rental in Retirement Community- No Loud Noises
Rental in Retirement Community- No Loud Noises
The rental home was very spacious and nice. The rental owner's family photos were a very nice touch as well. A few things should be noted. There were 8 bottles of used shampoo, conditioner and body wash (and bars of soap) left in the master bathroom shower. They were different brands and were not travel size containers which suggested they were left from previous guests. Dishes were left in the dishwasher and the dryer had been pulled 2 feet off of the wall, so we were unable to use the laundry room to wash items. The pictures suggest the home is on the lake however it is housed in between a house and a set of condos. You will need to walk a short path through a shared grassy area of three condos and one house. This home does not have unlimited parking and sits on the curve of the road which makes it hard to have more than three cars at the home without being on the grass. The patio lights were mistakenly left on and a neighbor came to let us know that they were shining into his bedroom. Please note this is not a home for parties or if you plan to have a lot children as the neighbors are elderly and like little to no noise.

Great place for a large family!
Great place for a large family!
The house was perfect for the four families staying together. It is big enough that everyone had privacy. The beach access to the lake was perfect for the kids. We also enjoyed the pool and the playground. The porch was probably our favorite part. It is very large and covered and there is lots of seating. We were pleasantly surprised to find a pack-n-play at the house and a wagon for carting around kids or lake stuff. We were thrilled to find all the kid friendly stuff in this house. Like toys and a bunk bed. There are lots of amenities and handy little things that made our stay easier, like a pump for blowing up floats already set up and plugged in. Hint: go by the house before you go to the grocery store. There are lots of spices and dishes at the house. We had a great time. Thanks for letting us use your beautiful home.

I spent the July 4th weekend- good for families
I spent the July 4th weekend- good for families
This home is geared towards families with young children which is why I selected it. Having rented previously in Reynolds Plantation I preferred this location and found Harbor Club to be quieter. This part of the lake was less busy ( although this is a high traffic period on the lake no matter where you are) and is unique in that it has a small sandy beach which was ideal for our situation ...we had a 3 yr old and 15 month old who could use it. The house itself is very large and set up for kids. The outdoor porch was great and we got a lot of use out of it. We encountered some housekeeping issues on our arrival but credit the owner with being very responsive and had cleaning crew come out the next morning to address issues. We enjoyed our stay here and I would recommend this to any families. We rented a pontoon for a day from a marina close by and there is a dock near the house where it could be tied up. The golf course here looked great, wish I was able to play it,

A great week for all 13 of us!
A great week for all 13 of us!
Our children and grandchildren joined us for the week and the house was perfect for our needs. With bedrooms on each floor, we were able to have space so that children could take naps and not be interrupted. We basically just spent the mornings playing in the lake, letting the children nap in the afternoon, playing on the playground in the evening and playing games at night. We took a couple of trips into Greensboro to get some lunch and buttermilk pie at Yesterdays, traveled once to Madison to enjoy looking at the houses and doing a little shopping, and visited the Uncle Remus Museum in Eatonton. We did not take advantage of the golf or boating nearby, but it would have been easy to access if that is what we had wanted to do. Our goal was to get our scattered family under one roof which we were able to do. Beautiful place, lots of deer, nice neighbors.
