About this apartment rental
This apartment called "Bouganville" (50m2) is located in a period house in the historic centre of Stresa. Stresa is a very beautiful and elegant little town on Lake Maggiore, at the foot of the Italian Alps.
Stresa is less than an hour from Milan Malpensa airport and 85 km from Milan itself.
The apartment is functional and modern and in an excellent location, in a quiet pedestrian area but also within walking distance to everything. It is near the Palazzo dei Congressi. There is free parking 200-300 metres from the rental (at the new port and around the Palazzo dei Congressi).
Lake Maggiore and its famous "passeggiata" are only a few steps away and from there you can take a boat trip to the Borromean Islands (Isola Bella, Maggiore and Pescatori) or even to Switzerland. Stresa Lido with its well-equipped public beach and children's playground is 300 metres away.
Many restaurants, boutiques, shops, the "Carrefour" supermarket, various grocery stores and cafés are nearby.
Fast and free Wi-Fi/Internet available + satellite television. Fully air-conditioned and soundproofed. Large private terrace at the back with table and chairs, and a balcony at the front with table and chairs overlooking Via Roma.
The apartment is 800 metres from Stresa station with a direct train to central Milan (50 minutes) where you can shop, sightsee or just sip a coffee and watch the world go by in the famous Piazza del Duomo. The bus stop for the lake towns of Arona, Baveno and Verbania is very close.
There is a regular bus service called AliBus that connects Milano Malpensa airport directly to the centre of Stresa. It stops very close to this apartment, at the church by the lake.
The apartment, which is on the first floor, has been recently renovated and is furnished in a bright and modern style. There is a large living room with two Murphy beds. These are proper beds (150 x 190 cm and 90 x 190 cm) and not sofa beds. The kitchen which is hidden behind a large cupboard is well-equipped (with microwave/mini-oven, dishwasher, electric coffee maker, kettle and toaster). There is a table and chairs and satellite TV. Next to the living room, you have a spacious bathroom with large shower and bidet. The apartment has plenty of storage and cupboards. The rental can accommodate up to 3 people. Bedlinen and towels and cleaning included in the price.
For 3/5 people, I have another studio in the same house ("Mimosa") and a larger apartment ("Lavanda").
I have other rentals at Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta. Chantal Rowley italian lakes holiday rentals

We arrived by bus from Malpensa and was met by the manager who took us to the apartment and showed us how everything worked.
During the stay he answered our questions about Stresa via WhatsApp and at the end of our stay he took us to the station.
The location of the apartment was fantastic. We could walk everywhere.

The apartment was even more beautiful in reality than in the ad. The communication was uncomplicated on site. everything was taken care of. The apartment was super clean. Maintained top. Location is gorgeous. Everything you needed was in the immediate vicinity. From the large balcony you could relax and enjoy the hustle and bustle of the streets with a glass of wine. Thank you, we will definitely be back!! Martin
