Tranquil and relaxing setting. Sheep, goldfish and an abundance of birdlife. Apricots on the tree ready to eat.
The little courtyard out front cough all day sunshine, it was lovely to take in the evening sun. Paula and Peter were very friendly and welcoming hosts.
The lounge area is downstairs but the kitchenette is upstairs in the bedroom area. Not a biggie.

We had an excellent trip away, such a lovely location just out of the main centre and peaceful.
Good sized rooms so we could spread out.
Very friendly hosts including their dog.
Mosquitoes so be sure to cover up or wear bug repellent outdoors.

We loved the place we stayed and the location! It was fabulous and so cosy! Pete and Paula are so welcoming, helpful and friendly hosts, plus have a sweet dog 😍 Really cosy stay with great facilities, nice and warm room with scenic views. 10/10 recommended and will stay again!

We were not expected so there was zero service.
The door was unlocked and could not be locked, it was very unclean. No working tv, internet or fresh towels. Mouldy, leaky shower with very limited hot water, 10 minutes if your lucky. No access lights in the dark and a very dangerous ditch in the driveway paddock. The kitchen was dirty, the glasses were filthy. Microwave was at floor level and the canisters were all broken. Half eaten loaf of bread was left at the bottom of the stairs and welcome note to someone else. Incredibly disappointing.

The breakfast cereals and the fresh fruit left for us was great, the french baguette was beautiful and the lovely condiments to go with the baguette and the cereals were lovely too, all the shower gels and hand soaps were all great eco brands particularly ecostore and the thank you brand, which is great for me as I get eczema so I can only use brands and eco friendly tested and proven skin products like they have at the cottage. Which is great to see hosts providing and using these brands for guests to use, and really taken into account the fact that not everybody can use just anything on their skin to shower with and wash their hair with and wash their hands with.
nothing, A fabulous stay and a fabulous and well kept, designed and maintained cottage, lovely outdoor table by the patio by the cottage, beautiful garden surroundings to enjou, stunning views and fantastic hosts in Peter and Paula.

Everything was as I would have wanted. A beautiful appartment apart from the main house and very quiet just outside the village of Akaroa. It has its own private patio within a large beautiful garden. A sittingroom, a small kitchen, a bedroom with big bed and a nice bathroom. All very well decorarated in a country-style. And last but not least the hosts Peter and Paula were very hospitable and helpful. A pity I could only stay so short a time. Defenitely will come back.
