We stayed at shore thing for our first lobster mini season 2024. The location is perfectly situated on one of the first canals for Key Colony. Excellent proximity to the Cabana Club for swimming in the refreshing pool. dockage was perfect for our 25' bay boat with power and water for charging and cleaning. The backyard is a great little place to hang out under the tiki hut as well. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was perfect for preparing meals for a family of 4.

Beautiful little house that had everything we needed. Great place for our boat, on a canal, with easy access to the atlantic and gulf. We could fish in the canal, a great tiki hut with table and chairs and grill. We sat at this almost every night and had a private dinner on the water.

Beautifully decorated cottage with 2 bedrooms &1 & 1/2 bath with great dock for boat. On a deep salt water canal leading out to the Atlantic Ocean. Great kitchen, dining room, and huge den. Outside patio leading to a tiki hut with table & chairs on the water. BBQ grill, fish cleaning table ( on dock) .ENJOY

House was great. Perfect location and nice layout, kitchen, and living area. We especially enjoyed the tiki hut out back.
Only negative is the master bedroom didn’t have much closet or dresser space.

This is our third time to stay in Key Colony, the first at this property...and it's our favorite! Love this side of Key Colony, close to Cabana Club. Tiki hut was a great place to relax. Also loved the friendly manatee who visited us right off the dock. We travel with our furbaby, and we especially love properties that don't have a dog smell..and this one didn't. Yay!

Property was beautiful with plenty of room both inside and out! Boat docking right outside with wide channel and 4 minutes, by boat, to Atlantic! Marina and ramp great service! Hope to see you again soon!

We came down with friends to fish for the week. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place. The location was so convenient. The cabana club was so close and super fun.

Enjoyed the stay very much. The complex was very clean. Very nice southside tiki area to sit under in day wide dock area for the boat would definitely stay there again.

Difficulty with transmission of overly long rental agreement. The rental was well kept and clean. I was uncomfortable with the key code being sent only minutes before check in.

Loved everything about this place! Plenty of space for a family of 3, dock for boat and walking distance to Cabana Club. We wil definitely be booking again!

The place was just as described. Clean and location was excellent. Just literally steps to the Cabana Club which we enjoyed very much. Only one draw back. No ladder is provided to get in and out of your boat. When tide is low is extremely tricky. You almost have to jump down to your boat. My husband actually twisted his leg trying to get out but by end of week he was ok. That would be the only suggestion I have to make this place better.

We spent a week here, and everything went great! The pictures on the listing are spot on, and the house and yard spaces are very well maintained. It was so nice to be on a canal, nice and cool with the breeze and a beautiful view! Key Colony Beach is a great location as well, right in the middle of the Keys and super close to stores/restaurants in Marathon. We would definitely recommend staying here!

This location was perfect for our family of 4. Our favorite part of the home was the back yard area with a cute tiki hut and lounge chairs right along the canal. We enjoyed several meals sitting around the table under the hut and loved stargazing on the lounge chairs at night. The cabana club access basically right across the street was perfect as we spent many early evenings there with the kids when it was less crowded. I recommend bringing life jackets if you have kiddos still learning to swim since the home is right on the canal and the cabana club pool is > 3 feet in all areas.
Only notable con of our stay was the lack of closet space. I can tell the owners have done their best to accommodate hanging clothes but both rooms have a equipment in the closets (washer/dryer in one, water heater in other). Living out of our suitcases was a bit of an annoyance but much out weighed by the positives of this location! We would definitely stay again. Key Colony is truly a hidden gem of the keys.

The property was just what we were looking for. Great place to relax, have a boat accessible, throw in a line, and rest between our daily activities. While the kitchen could be enhanced with more dishes & cookware, we were able to make things work with what they had. The best thing about this property though, was the excellent location! This unit is located just a few houses away from the Key Colony Cabana Club and Havana Jack's restaurant & bar. This was excellent for our family, as everyone could easily enjoy their own thing when we weren't doing group activities. Also, being able to walk home after enjoying a couple pina coladas & having someone else cook dinner, was absolute bliss! Thanks for a great little getaway!

Cute and clean
This house is very clean and cutely decorated. Only issue I had was there’s no closet space or storage in the bedrooms. For a famiiy of 5 was a bit difficult.

Amazing Stay!!
The property and location was amazing. Would definitely recommend this home to others. The tiki hut was excellent for shade and relaxing while watching manatees and fish in the canal. Nice neighborhood and the home itself was super cozy and plenty of space!

Minimal
Barebones/minimum kitchen items, sofas and kitchen chairs uncomfortable. Looks as though furnished/supplied with "garage sale" items. Would not stay at this property again.

Unit was as pictured….beds uncomfortable but other than that we enjoyed our stay and glad for it being pet friendly.

Great location with easy access to the marina and ocean. Loved eating dinner outside under the tiki hut. Perfect for my small group.

Great getaway
House was clean and well stocked with kitchen items. Communication with the property manager was easy and had no issues getting into the property. They even provided some start up items. This is a duplex and we enjoyed the neighbors, but the outside property is secluded enough to enjoy privacy as well. Tiki hut was a hit and we enjoyed spending the evenings under it. Manatees sightings daily. We had an 18 foot boat that docked nicely at the property. Great location direct to the ocean. About a 15 min run to the reef and about the same to a sandbar at grassy key.

Great location
The property was perfect for our family of four. Check in was seamless, plenty of room, fishing from the dock, great little tiki hut to relax under and AC was nice and cold after being in that heat all day.

Wonderful Stay
My family and I stayed 7 days at this location. Pictures and description match whats online. We loved the location because it was close to the boat ramp and in a nice quiet neighborhood. One thing it needs is a outside shower to rinse off after a day on the boat.

Wonderful Stay
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. It was the perfect location, just a short 3 min walk to the community pool which also has to a small private beach. My kids loved going there. We brought our boat and kept it by the dock. Lots of space to get in and out, very close to the open ocean. Kids were able to throw cast nets off the dock and catch & release some fish and even a lobster! We even saw a manatee. The house was very coastal, lots of space for our family of 4. Kitchen was well stocked with all items needed. Lots of extra towels, bed sheets.
We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect spot in Paradise!
House was clean, and in the perfect location. Off the beaten path with its own community. Central air was lovely. Parks and restaurants in walking distance. My husband and 2 kids loved the tiki hut and canal. Perfect spot in the middle of the keys. Best beach and snorkeling spot was Bahia Honda state park. We will be back.
Only suggestion is to have beach chairs, umbrella and bikes to use.

Great stay in paradise
Perfect getaway property with a fantastic location. Enjoyed our stay and the property was as described. Spacious kitchen with plenty of open space in living areas. Bedrooms were a little snug but hardly noticeable since you'll be hanging outside in the picturesque Tiki hut along the canal. The A/C went out during our stay and had to be replaced which was a bummer to coordinate. We also had rowdy neighbors for the 2nd week but it's the Keys so hard to complain too much. Overall good stay and would recommend.
