After filling your day with the action of the city retreat to the fresh country air and serenity of this chalet style home, relax on the 1000 square foot deck and take in the best view in town! Sitting on a 63 acre private gated farm on the outskirts of Nashville in the town of Goodlettsville, home of the little league baseball champions of 2012. We are within walking distance of the largest antique district in Tennessee. Named after my beloved black and white paint horse "Valentino" who lived to the ripe old age of 30 and reigned over these acres till early 2013. Newly remodeled "Valentino's retreat was once the "early days" home of the iconic Kris Kristofferson. It is loaded with all the comforts of home and some extras! The decor celebrates the spirit of Nashville with music business memorabilia that is from the owner Dana's personal collection. It is 13 miles from downtown Nashville. My wife and I planned a long weekend away from home to visit Nashville and the surrounding area. The best of both worlds was a great find, close to Nashville (15 mins) but far enough to enjoy a quiet stay.
Our host was great, and very quick to respond to questions we might have had. Speaking of the host, the first night we arrived and went inside we saw music memorabilia on the walls, thinking we were close to Nashville, a music theme. The following day there is a sign on the table that says "Check out my music" with a website. After looking it up, it becomes apparent the artist and the host were one in the same! How very cool is that?
We didn't want to leave when the time came it was a great weekend away, at an amazing place.
Highly recommend it as a place to stay!

Nice and quiet location. We enjoyed the farm animals nearby and the beautiful scenery. However, we found numerous large and small spiders under the bed pillows, in between the sheets, under the cushions of the couch and in the kitchen. A total of 17 spiders in all areas of the house made it difficult to get a good nights sleep. A text to the owner/property manager regarding the problem went unanswered.

Nice and cozy. Fun to be greeted by Jill (donkey) and Mozart (mini horse). Bed is super comfortable and everything we needed was there for a nice stay. We will probably come back when we visit Nashville again as it is easy to get into the city.

The cottage was super cozy and homey. It had all the conveniences of home down to tissue boxes, coffee pods, paper towels, lots of towels for 2, very clean, decorated beautifully representing the music connection to the owner.
It has a beautiful outside deck but between the heat & the bugs we didnt use it. We stayed during July so the heat & bugs are to be expected!! AC worked great too!! Loved the full size appointed kitchen with a fridge with an ice maker & water!! We are all ready booked for another stay!

We enjoyed our time in this comfortable cottage. We had everything we needed and it was a great place to escape to from the crowds in downtown Nashville. We also enjoyed seeing the turkeys and other wild life that are on the property. The horse and donkey even greeted us one evening as we were coming home. It was an extremely hot weekend but the air conditioner worked perfectly at keeping the cottage cool and comfortable. A great stay for anyone wanting to visit Nashville ,but also wanting a quiet place to relax.

This was our first time to Nashville and we choose to stay outside of Nashville at The Best of Both Worlds and it was perfect for us. Very peaceful and relaxing and enjoyed sitting on the deck each morning and watching the turkeys and deer with fawns and hummingbirds

My husband and I spent part of our honeymoon at this amazing ranch in Nashville, TN, and it was the perfect escape we were looking for! The serene surroundings, complete with wild turkeys, cattle, and the most adorable miniature horse and donkey, made our stay truly magical.
The ranch offered a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere, far removed from the hustle and bustle of city life. It was exactly what we needed to relax and unwind. We enjoyed the beautiful landscapes and the quiet, calming environment that made our trip so memorable.
The accommodations were wonderful – cozy, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated. We felt right at home from the moment we arrived.
We highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. It was the perfect addition to our honeymoon, and we can't wait to return!

The cottage and land were beautiful. It’s close to restaurants, and secluded at the same time. The mini pony and donkey came up to us when they saw we were out. The bathtub was great! The bed reminded me of the memory foam mattress we have at home. The place is decorated nicely and feels comfortable.

This is a cute cottage setting. Dana was quick to respond to questions. The bed was very comfortable. We had difficulty maintaining the heat and the couch was not comfortable at all. Overall, it was a very nice stay. Great place to be if you want to be close to the city but away from the traffic.

Such a cute cottage nestled on a farm with rolling hills, Mozart the mini horse and Jill the donkey, both rescues, come to the fence for some rubs! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Very well stocked, comfortable furniture for tv watching and the bed as well. If don't want to be too far from Nashville, this is the place to stay!

Valentino's Retreat was the perfect spot for us. If you want a quiet, private, peaceful country setting that is close to downtown Nashville, this is the place. We loved it. Very comfortable, clean cottage that has everything you could need. Very comfy King bed. Loved the beautiful views all around. Easy to come and go. Loved that we could be in Nashville in 15 mins and enjoy all it has to offer but then come back to such a peaceful setting that feels a million miles away from all the congestion of Nashville. Saw wild turkeys and loved on the miniature donkey and horse, Mozart and Jill. Dana was very responsive but we never needed anything from her. Great place!

We had a nice stay here while visiting Nashville. It could use more gravel near the steps leading to the house. It rained both days during our stay, and the parking area turned muddy. I stopped by a spray wash car wash and cleaned off the car after leaving, but a little more gravel would solve the problem.

This little cottage is a nature lovers paradise. There were deer, turkey, racoons, and squirrels. A small piece of our day was spent with Mozart the minature horse and Jill the donkey. They enjoyed a snack each day, and were always eager to see us.
The location was convenient to everything. It seemed as if everywhere we wanted to go was within 25 minutes.
Dana was very quick to responde to any questions we had.
This place is highly recommended if travelling to the Nashville area.

We loved the remoteness of the cottage but we were still close to town if we needed anything. 20 minutes from Nashville was perfect for us! Loved seeing the donkey, cows, and turkeys- made coming to Nashville feel a little like home.

We had an amazing stay at this property. It was a great place to come back to after going to Nashville for the day or antiquing in the nearby town. The host was helpful and responsive with any questions we had. We also loved meeting Jill and Mozart (Donkey and Mini Horse). We would highly recommend and would stay here again if we are visiting the area.

Valentino retreat is in the country but was only 4 miles from our friends' hotel. The cottage was clean with a very comfortable king bed. They had everything you need in a home away from home. We saw deer every morning and opossum at night. We loved the furry neighbors (donkey and pony). I would stay here again, Owners answered questions very quickly.

This property is very clean and the owners have gone over and beyond by providing any anticipated convenience. The wrap around deck offers lots of seating and space for lovely views and outdoor dining. The walk in closet was an added bonus. I would suggest the addition of including in the property description on the website, disclosure of the several but very navigable steps from the parking area to the cottage and also installation of a grab bar at the ample sized tub. I look forward to my next opportunity to enjoy Valentino’s Retreat!

This was our second time staying here. It’s in such a great location and very relaxing. I loved having my morning coffee to the sound of birds! Dana gave us our privacy but was available if we needed her. You will not be disappointed when you stay here and you cannot beat the price…

We enjoyed our stay here very much! It was homey, super clean, and a relaxing atmosphere. Check in and communication were excellent! Everything we needed was right there. The directions the owner gave was very helpful since GPS was a little off. We arrived at night and the lights were on for us when we arrived which made it even more inviting.
