Lovely location, easy access to public transport, shops, cafe and there was a park nearby.
The home was clean and had everything we needed for our stay.
The host was thoughtful and clear with instructions.
The only downside was lack of daytime parking, but you can park nearby overnight. Not a big issue at all.
Would definitely stay there again.

Thank dear Val and Freddie for accomodating us so perfectly in your lovely cottage.
The appartment including the terrace are so nicly furnished, clean, neat and tidy. - As we have cooked for ourselves during our stay we absolutely appreciated the equipment in the kitchen. We didn't miss anything at all.
To make our stay as perfect as possible, we have asked Val quite a number of questions in advance. And during our stay we had a few questions to Freddie. Both of them were outstanding in their communication, absolutely friendly, always willing to help and each advice was fruitful.
All in all Val and Freddie made us feel home in that lovely Twickenham Cottage. We'll definitely come back as soon as we are in London again.
Thank you for everything,
T & M

It was a great week with the kids. The little cottage is very nice and cozy. The kids (9 & 7) loved it!
It was everything well prepared. Thanks also to Val and her son for outstanding nice communication on all channels and in answering all questions upfront very swiftly!
We are looking forward to a possible next stay. Thank you!

The cottage is lovely and clean with all items that you need for a comfortable stay. The house owner Val is very kind and helpful. We would recommend this place and would love to come back and visit.

Christmas dream
A beautiful cottage, a pub just a short walk away, and close access to mass transit. Our Christmas reunion with our son who had been studying abroad in London was wonderful thanks to this great cottage. Will stay here again whenever we get back this way.

Perfect in every way
This was a repeat visit to Terrace Cottage and we simply love everything about it, location, environment and the cosiness of the cottage. Our dog always loves trotting into Marble Hill park or down to the Thames and it simply an idyllic venue in every way. The management service is extremely helpful and efficient. Cannot recommend highly enough. We hope to return soon.

Perfect Holiday Cottage
The cottage exceeded all expectations!
Inviting, immaculately clean, quiet , warm, plush linen and very comfortable beds.
Great location between Twickenham and Richmond (easy, flat walk to both locations or multiple buses at end of street). Direct and no hassle bus access (again at end of street) to Heathrow was an added bonus.
The owner was friendly, accessible , helpful , and, accomodating.
I travel overseas regularly, always stay in apartments/cottages and have high expectations of the properties I rent. Few properties exceed my expectations but this property did. The facilities, location and interactions with the owner combined to provide a perfect holiday cottage and stay. I can’t wait to revisit!

Lovely cottage in a peaceful location just outside Richmond. Very comfortable for the 3 of us.
Val was a pleasure to deal with, always responsive and prompt in her reply’s to queries. Easy transport connection to central London. We had a fabulous stay and would recommend the cottage.

Lovely, Quiet Location
My family of three loved our stay in Val's cottage. The location worked very well for us for sight-seeing in London. We chose the short bus trip from the end of the street to Richmond and then the underground into London (which took anywhere from 40-50 minutes depending on the time of day and the destination); but, there is overground train service as well. We also used both a direct bus and bus/underground service to/from Heathrow which each took about 45 minutes to one hour depending on the time of day. Richmond offered fantastic grocery shopping and restaurant choices. The neighborhood was very pretty and quiet -- particularly Montpelier Row itself. It was so nice to return here after a day spent in the city. The house was as-described -- plenty of space for us to spread out after a long day touring. Val was very responsive to any questions that we had and responded promptly. The only suggestion for improvement that we have is that certain areas of the house could use a refreshing, particularly the washing machine. However, we would definitely stay at this property again and would recommend Montpelier Cottage to anyone considering a stay in this area.

Lovely little well equipped comfortable cottage.
We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely little cottage. The location is great - down a quiet little cul de sac backing on to the wooded edge of the park, but minutes from bus and train and easy walking to both Richmond and Twickenham and lovely riverside walks.

Charming Victorian Cottage - exactly as described!
Wonderful stay at this delightful cottage in St Margaret's, a few minutes walk from Richmond. Cosy & comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Ideal location for exploring this beautiful borough with easy access to central London. A rural feel in a peaceful location with a great selection of local eateries and already looking forward to our next visit.

Fantastic location, charming Victorian cottage on a beautiful street.
For our needs and wants, this property really was in the perfect location. Moments from beatiful river walks and 15 mins walk from Richmond. It is also ideally located for getting into London with the train station 10 minutes up the road.
The property itself is well proportioned for a family of four and has a lovely roof garden for the evenings. A wonderful park is 30 seconds walk from the property so the lack of garden is no issue whatsoever.
The owner has been extremely welcoming and helpful throughout the whole process and the recommendations for activities / places to eat were all superb.
Overall a five star experience which we will certainly look to do again. Highly recommended.

… at any time again!
A great place to stay nearby London. We enjoyed it very much being there: This little house (left half of it) is well furnished, nice decorated, bright, clean and well equipped. Communication was easy, fast and reliable. Thanks!

Lovely cottage in magical location
My husband and I spent two delightful months in this cottage. Excellent bus service from the end of the street into Richmond city center. Buses run every 3-8 minutes. It is very convenient to take the tube to other parts of London. The unit is well appointed and has everything needed for a pleasant stay. Val and Freddie were extremely helpful and responsive. There are shops and restaurants within walking distance and many more in Richmond.
The neighborhood was so interesting and beautiful that some days we just stayed local and walked around. The Thames is about a five minute walk with a great walking path along the river. Lovely area to walk our dog.
We cannot wait to return.

Lovely Cottage
My friend and I recently spent a very enjoyable short break in this delightful property, so much so, I thought I would like to write a review.
The cottage was really nice, very comfortable, extremely clean and well equipped, with a pretty roof terrace. The location was just perfect, very quiet, but near to all amenities. We were supplied with complimentary parking permits, which enabled us to park opposite the cottage for the entire stay, so we were able to use public transport to get around to see the sights.
Richmond is a lovely place with lots of interesting places to visit, we especially enjoyed Kew Gardens and were particularly lucky with the weather which was bright and sunny.
I think this cottage is a little gem and I look forward to making a return visit.

Even better the second time
This was our second visit and if anything we were more impressed. Val was very accommodating with our particular requests which was greatly appreciated. The location is ideal, and makes a perfect base to live like a local, which is always our goal. Exceedingly convenient to everything, yet perfectly tranquil. It’s a terrific property in a great spot, and it feels like home away from home without any effort. We look forward to returning.

Very good.
We enjoyed our stay in this property and in this neighbourhood. The property was clean and comfortable, and Val's instructions and suggestions were all very helpful (including her recommendations for places to eat.) One caution for children or anyone with mobility issues is that the stairs to the bedrooms are very steep. Shopping for essentials is a short walk away, and more shopping is available in the Twickenham business centre, reachable by bus or walking. Public transportation to Waterloo, Kew and Hampton Court are all convenient. There is also a bus to and from Heathrow, but for those who prefer a car service, follow Val's recommendation for Black and White Cars and Couriers.

Perfect cottage!
This was the perfect cottage for my short stay. Val answered all my questions quickly and offered tips on the best way to get there from the airport. So clean and tidy and comfortable! A park on one side and markets and stores on the other. A short walk to the river, many places to spend the day. Thank you Val for everything I would recommend the lovely cottage to anyone and hope to return myself.

Lovely Holiday Cottage
We stayed in this lovely holiday cottage in August.
The cottage is Victorian and very pretty, but the interior is bright and modern and had everything we needed for our stay, plus a small secluded roof terrace.
The location is really great, very green and peaceful, but only a ten minute walk to Richmond.
We were worried about parking when we booked, but the owner very kindly sorted out parking permits to enable us to park opposite the cottage, so we could leave the car and use public transport for most of our stay.
Visiting Central London was easy taking the train to Waterloo in under half an hour, but also locally in and around Richmond there was lots to do and see.
We found the guests handbook very useful, full of information on places to visit, plus pubs, restaurants and shops.
We have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Great location and cottage
The cottage is small but has everything you need. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable bed. Only disadvantage is that loo is downstairs. All the houses in Montpelier Row are very attractive including the cottage. Location is near perfect - close to river, vast parks, buses and trains. You don't need a car to get round which is just as well because there's nowhere close by to park it during the day. This was a slight problem when we had friends visiting us in the day. We stayed 3 weeks overall and would definitely stay there again. Owner is very friendly and welcoming.
