Unbearable smell, no water and electricity trips

The house is beautiful and the quality of things inside the house is good.
The bedrooms had rats running around at night.
The pool was dirty,
The stove wasn’t working, I sent a message to inform the host about the stove and she didn’t reply to my message, I called her and she rejected my call and responded with a message that she will call me later, to date I am still waiting for her call.
We bought groceries that we couldn’t cook, we couldn’t prepare breakfast we planned to eat for the duration of our stay. We survived on braai meat and eating out and that was not the plan.
The steps are just too much
The cleaner comes too early to clean, two days we told her not to clean the bedrooms because the guests were still sleeping.

We had daily visits from the elephants and rhinos as there is a watering hole close to the villa and villa provides perfect views of the animals as well as the nature reserve.
The many stairs because we were travelling with old people but is understandable that it’s a character of the villa as it is set in a mountain. Maybe make mention of that to future guests. The pool doesn’t accommodate new beginners so we made use of the jacuzzi instead.

The property is beautiful...
The road that leads to the house was a nightmare driving at night.

Lovely view! Big, spacious house. Great for group of friends or couples who also want some privacy.
Rooms are away from living area, and lots of steps, so not suitable for small children or elderly

Stunning view and ample space, we truly enjoyed our stay despite some setbacks. Thank you to the host for accommodating us with a change of date.
The tiles surrounding the pool is extremely slippery, we slipped and fell even when walking slowly. This was very stressful since we had 5 children with us. But the biggest issue of all is the railings that are not up to regulations, I almost lost my child as he was hanging from the second floor. VERY large gaps between the railings, large enough for an adult to pass through, regulations state gaps to be 10cm. My boy slipped on the again very slippery tiles on the kitchen balcony, and if he did not grip the floor edge he would have fallen two stories. Same on the staircase, the railings stop before the stairs and a child can easily fall through it should they slip.
This house is certainly not for the elderly as there are numerous stairs, and certainly not safe for babies or toddlers. In fact I didn't feel safe.

The view was absolutely breathtaking. The stay was good, spacious house.
To ensure everything is in working order before hiring it out to guests (oven was not working (this was tested by an employee in my presence), 2 out of the 5 plate gas stove were working, no hot water in 2 bathrooms (1 is the upstairs bathroom), spot lights weren't working, horrible smell from the drain, room a were detached from the house and way too many stairs to climb)
There was no1 to meet us upon arrival to hand the keys, the front door was locked and the keys were left inside the house (there was no pre-arranged place where the keys were left(as I had asked where I could collect the keys and did not receive any communication)), we managed to yank the door open and that is how we entered.
The fridge was dirty, we had to wipe it down before using it, the washing machine is full of mould.
A little attentiont to detail will make it a better stay.
It has been 2 weeks now and I still have not received my breakage deposit, with no return calls or feedback.

The villa is everything I would ask for,so spacious and I liked the private rooms..value for money even regret booking for 3nights,I'll definitely go back again it's an amazing place and the predator feeding sealed the joy to our stay.
Was a bit disappointed that the jacuzzi wasn't working, and the garage.

The house is very spacious with spectacular views. Well equipped. Perfect getaway spot for a group of friends.
There was an additional R500 "admin fee" payable to the host, that was not disclosed or mentioned on Booking.com site.

The views and property overall is amazing. The daily cleaning service was fantastic.
The pool and jacuzzi was out of service. Two of the bedrooms didn't have sufficient hot water for 4 people to shower or bath. Overall, the kitchen is well equipped but requires some basics like large serving spoons and proper braai tongs.
It has been 4 weeks since our departure and I am still struggling to get the breakage deposit refunded.

The location , view and facilities were very good
The property is cold in winter with no heating or aircon. There is a fireplace but this caused so much smoke in the house that we had to sit outside in the cold to escape the smoke.
The house was invaded by a troop of baboons while we were sleeping in the bedrooms (separate from the main house) . I had to chase the baboons out and I believe this was a very dangerous situation. To make things worse the baboons caused damage in the house and stole the food. The damage caused by the baboons was subtracted from my deposit.
The danger of the baboons should have been communicated to us and I would advise the hosts to do this in future.

The view is amazing. The house is definitely built for entertainment. You have everything you need and you can expect a great time.
The house needs a little maintenance work. There are a few things here and there that are loose. The room I was in didn't have a handle on the bathroom door for instance.

The view is amazing, crockery and cutlery were very classy. The place is spacious and very neat. We couldn’t resist their beautiful dining table and decided to dress up for Saturday dinner. Overall its a beautiful place and I would definitely come back.
There was no bodywash, shower gel or soap.
