What a lovely, charming and very well equipped villa to spend our 3 weeks family summerholiday! We have been visiting this region for many years now, but never found a house that has it all. Villa La Poletta does have it all: a magnificent view, a lovely big terrace with a big table, a garden with an orange tree, large and cool bedrooms, a beautiful (shared) pool, a kitchen with everything you need if you really like cooking, a 10-minute walk to Camaiore for an espresso in the morning, a shady spot under the old tree for evening drinks. And last but not least Vittoria to welcome and support you with all you need around the house. Thank you Stefano and Margherita, we will definitely return!

This house is perfectly fitted for a nice vacation with family and friends. We had a wonderful stay. Kids enjoyed the pool, parents wine on the terrasse with magnificamt view.
We do not have anything to complain about.
Thanks very much for this wonderful stay and all the useful information that the landlord provided us beforehand.

This lovely home could not be better situated for a northern Tuscan vacation. It is close to Pisa, Lucca, Pietrasanta, the beautiful Ligurian Sea, as well as the Cinque Terre and the jaw dropping marble quarry of Carrara . The town of Camaiore is a bustling surprise, full of terrific restaurants and cute shops.
This home is a winner of a vacation spot with the best pool ever, and the location provides a beautiful balance of peace and excitement. Enjoy!!

Charming and relaxing house
We had a great week at the villa Polletta. Would definitely recommend it for families with a car. Beautiful view and sunsets, clean house with everything we needed, nice pool. We visited around by car (40 min. to Pisa & Lucca, 20 min. to the beach, 30 min. to wineries).

The best aspect of this property was the terrace with its views of the Tuscan hillsides. We enjoyed all of our home meals there as the weather was perfect and sunny. The pool wasn't expected to be available according to the dates listed but we were pleasantly surprised that it was ready and the weather was willing to allow us to enjoy that amenity. The pool initially needed some cleaning but Vitorria was immediately available and cleaned it promptly for our enjoyment. The kitchen was very small and offered most of what was needed to cook and to store any leftovers. Beautiful wine glasses were available and appreciated. The kitchen could use sharp knives and/or a knife sharpener. The dishwasher was a great help. The washing machine was available but took over two hours to run a load so plan ahead. No available dryer as is typical for Italy but clothes spun almost dry and the terrace offered sun and breeze to dry them by the next day. The aromas of the jasmine in the yard in May was lovely. The drive up the road leading to the property is intimidating the first time as the width of the road allows one vehicle with little to no space on the sides. The bedrooms were spacious and the availability of extra sinks is helpful when hosting a large group. The bedroom cabinets rattled with every footstep which was disturbing. The sheets were uncomfortably rough.

Charmantes Haus in toller Lage

Fabulous Tuscan villa.
A beautiful property with a lovely view through the hills to the coast only 7km away. Incredible swimming pool, lovely characterful interior downstairs and upstairs. A great terrace where you can eat and drink under the stars. We all had a great time and personally I'd love to book again one day soon.

Sehr, sehr gerne wieder.

Rust en toch 15 minuten van zee
Prachtig terras, heerlijk (gedeeld) zwembad.

This beautiful house is located at the end of a small road on a hill. The house has four very large, and more importantly, very wonderful bedrooms, with beautiful colors. Upstairs there is a large bathroom with a toilet and a bath/shower. In addition, there is a separate toilet and downstairs there is another bathroom with toilet and a washing machine. The kitchen is very luxourious and it contains all the necessary equipment. The dining room as well as the living room are both very cosy, and there are plenty of books and even a television with digital signal. However, due to the lovely weather, we have not used the dining room and the living room. We had diner on the large terrace every day, and we used the barbecue a lot. The view from the terrace is really magnificent; one looks down on the town Camaiore and the sea. After a long and hot day on the beach, one can also have a lovely cold shower outside. On top of that, there is free Wi-Fi in the house.
The surroundings of Camaiore are very beautiful. We also visited quite some cities and towns, like Pietrasanta, Forte dei Marmi, Lucca, Pisa and we went to the amazing city Firenze (Florence) by train, respectively. The beach can be reached by car in about twenty minutes.
We can strongly recommend you this house if you are looking for a cosy place to stay during your holidays. This area definitely gives a good representation of the real Italy and the real Italian people.

The house was in a beautiful setting, at the end of a narrow road in the green hills behind Camaiore. As we arrived we found the house manager Victoria waiting for us on the extensive terracota tiled patio. She was most welcoming and showed us around explaining where everything was and how everything worked. The living room was pronounced charming and the kitchen the most well equiped we had evern seen (though still not sure why anyone would need 6 expresso pots)
After this everyone rushed to lay claim to one of the lovely clean light and airy bedroooms. As shutters in various rooms were thown open ,gasps of delight could be heard as people found they were either looking up into the mountains or down the valley to Camaiore and beyond to the sea. The inside of the house was declared delightful and stuffed to the gills with "old world charm"
As we gathered out on the huge patio set with table and chairs for outside dining and adorned with orange and lemon trees in outsize pots we made plans for the evening. My Italian speaking friend and myself were elected to go and find a takeaway pizzeria and wine down below in the town. We found both and after being both fed and watered went to our extremely comfortable beds and slept like babies.
The next day we made our 20 minute journey to the seaside where our delightful "Bagno" had been pre-booked, spent the day on the beach, swimming snoozing and reading and we returned to La Villa in the late evening after a lovely meal in Camaiore,. We sat on the patio and watched a fire work display going on somewhere in the valley, waited for the stars come out and then went happily to bed.
This was our routine more or less for the whole week. This was only vairied by a trip to Viareggio to "the best icecream shop in Italy" and to assorted restaurants at the sea and in the courntry. Oh and the morning we managed to lock ourselves out and Victoria had to come and rescue us (we were a little late getting to our deckchairs that day)
We could have gone to look at medieval churches, we could have gone to listen to opera at the Puccini festival, we could have gone into The Marble Mountains, to Lucca, to the Cinque Terre or done a thousand other things, all of which we intended to do. But, we didn't do any of these things because the house, the town, the sea all enchanted.
A perfect week for 5 busy stressed out women and one young boy
Would we go again, yes we most certainly would!
