Cosy room with all you need for a short stay. Nice pub downstairs.
Rooms would benefit from better sound insulation, could hear people next door on the phone.

Cosy, clean and comfortable. Beautiful old beamed pub
Room was quite small, but I expected it in a pub of its age.

Small but clean private room with en suite. Lots of tea and coffee provided (needed more milk and had to use bottled water to fill kettle as it wouldn’t fit under tap). Friendly check in staff. Lots of towels provided. Good parking, TV with many channels. Bed firm (but that is how I like it). Easy access with separate entrance so you don’t have to go through pub.
First night was great, second night was spoiled by an inconsiderate neighbour who have volume up to maximum and ignored request by one room to turn it down, they did when I begged them to at 11.30pm but turned it on again at 02.30 ! I contacted staff but they couldn’t help as they were off site. The railway line is next to the accommodation and it is an extremely busy track with freight through the night. No restaurant until Wednesday, and no breakfast except DIY porridge. Room very hot, I did turn heating to lowest setting but a small room heats very quickly.

The pub, staff and locals were extremely welcoming and made for a very enjoyable evening.
The room was tiny and very tight for 2 beds so there was no space for luggage. The beds were also broken and they had used chip board under the mattresses to keep them solid.
when we arrived the room was tepid but after spending the evening in the pub and returning at 11.30pm the heating was already off and the room was bitter due to it being below 0° outside

it had parking. separate entrance.
paper thin walls. one side the gentleman couldnt sleep and walked up and down till 02:00 in the morning then another couple arrived on the other side at 03:00 and spoke fairly loudly to his partner till 04:30. I couldn’t get back to sleep so left at 05:00. incidentally I dislike smellies and put it in the cupboard. I had to sleep with the window open. the restaurant was average to poor.

Great Place to stay and staff friendly and accomodating. Good range of beers and cider and menu looked fab though we did not get a chance to this trip. Would definality stay again.
Bed was very firm which my wife struggled with due to her arthritis. Would have been good to have had the option for breakfast available.

Had evening meal very good both nights
Could have had a bedside light

perfectly situated for my day in Stafford.
Nothing to note. Really happy with my stay.

Very welcoming with a nice atmosphere . Room was ready and clean.
Four rooms available, upstairs at the back of the pub.
Despite being very close to the main railway line it wasn't too noisy, soundproofing was effective .
Simple value-for-money accommodation. Everything worked, good shower in the room with toilet.
Breakfast was instant porridge which was fine for me. So it was all very flexible.
Parking was secure and sufficient.
Would be ideal for single tradespeople working locally.
No heating in the room. In fact it was OK for me, but having the option of putting it on would have been better.
Main problem was that there was no food in the evening . Even in the town there weren't many dining options open
So it was takeaways obtained locally or what the guys had brought with them.
Microwave available and kettle in rooms. Tea and coffee provided in each room!
Pub prides itself on its food so this wS disappointing.
I had to drive into Stafford in search of food!
No toiletries, bring your own AGAIN not a problem for me.

Being able to eat , drink. and stay overnight all under one roof. Made to feel very welcome. Staff were excellent in every way and very hard working. Food very nice.
bedrooms a bit small but ok, no cooked breakfast available, car parking was an issue when we arrived.
