About this house rental
This year round lakefront house on 1 full acre of land has it all: Knotty Pine open living room and kitchen with oversized windows and 8 ft sliding glass door that takes you to a spacious deck overlooking Galway Lake in Saratoga County. Only 25 minutes to Downtown Saratoga, SPAC and Racetrack and only 10 minutes to major shopping. All the comforts of home and all the comforts of camp life with outdoor fireplace, kayaks, paddle boat and canoe. Nestled in a cove with only a few neighbors on 8 acres, this is the ultimate in rest and relaxation. Living room and master bedroom have TV's with cable, local phone and hi speed wireless internet throughout and central heating and air conditioning so you are always comfortable.
Morning coffee on the deck watching the sunrise is the perfect way to start the day and the sunset reflecting on the lake is the close of the perfect day on this 550 acre private lake. Our spacious lakefront lawn is perfect for bocce, volleyball and the list goes on. This amount of lakefront land on Galway lake is a treasured rarity.
The outside raised deck is complete with six person patio set and 11 ft Cantilevered umbrella. Chimenea firepit, torches and Weber Gas Grill round out the deck amenities.
Master Bedroom has queen size bed, Wall Mounted 42" flat screen TV with cable and ceiling fan
Second bedroom has double bed and newly added stacked washer dryer and ceiling fan.
Living Room has two newer full / queen wood framed futon and rocker recliner
Amenities include Auto Drip Coffee Maker, Perk Pot Coffee Maker Keurig, Microwave, Hair Dryer, Central Air / Heat, Wi-Fi, Dishwasher, Washer / Dryer, Ceiling Fans in All Rooms, Cambria Quartz Countertops in Kitchen and iron and ironing board.

Peter, the host, was the most accommodating person I’ve ever met through a rental. He went above and beyond for us when we had a medical emergency and had to change our dates. The house was exactly as described. We enjoyed a very peaceful and relaxing week and may be back again next summer

Very relaxing time. Our pups had a great time swimming in the lake and playing on the property. I also enjoyed the lake. The lake is a mud bottom and has some grass growing currently, reminded me of dill weed, didn’t bother me but my wife wasn’t fond of it. The house was great, very comfortable. You do have to carry your stuff a little ways from parking to the house.

My spouse and I (and our dog) spent two blissful weeks enjoying the house, the deck (especially the gas grill and the cantilevered umbrella!), and the kayaks.
Peter was readily available by text throughout our stay, and he gave us excellent advice for local restaurants. Highly recommended!

Peter and the property were amazing. Slept wonderfully and very peaceful location. The water was not accessible in the bay due to algae so couldn’t swim there so had to go to other parts of lake to get in. Other than that t was a wonderful place!

Beautiful Galway Lake
This was our second visit to Galway Lake and our first stay at Peter’s home. It was as pictured, and Peter was extremely helpful and accommodating. The location was perfect as the houses are not closely located as in many other areas around the lake, and being at the mid-point of the lake allows you to easily paddle in either direction to explore the lake from end to end. While the weather did not cooperate, we were able to get out on the kayak and canoe during one afternoon and enjoy the true beauty of Galway Lake. I was even lucky enough to see a bald eagle on that day! My husband did a lot of fishing right off the dock and said it was the best he’s ever seen. We highly recommend Galway Lake and this rental.

A few highlights were the full moon rising over the lake, daily kayaking, and proximity to excellent day trip locations. Check out the Saratoga Spa State Park for hiking, golf & swimming. It is about an hour and a 20 minute drive west to Cooperstown and and hour and a half to Tanglewood. The only quibble with the house is that the shower stall is quite small.

This home was better than described. There is an oversized deck overlooking a private lake where we enjoyed our outdoor meals and fire pit in the evening. The home was extremely clean and totally equipped with everything we needed during our stay. Peter was so pleasant and responded promptly to all inquiries. We would definitely return.

Lovely lake, house, and neighbors
I stayed at this lovely house with my sister after a tough year. The owner was super accommodating and responsive. We were able to bring my sister's two small dogs who loved the property, especially the fenced in deck. The real value of the property is the quiet lake and the wonderful neighbors who deeply believe in their community and were super nice to us. I enjoyed kayaking and the beautiful weather. Just be aware that the property is a little far from a grocery store and plan accordingly. Also, I was surprised that there was no way to swim unless you jumped out of a boat, but for me, that was fine.

Nice quiet setting with beautiful lake view. I loved sitting on the deck - even saw a bald eagle fly close overhead! The host Peter was quick to respond to any questions and dropped by once with yummy Italian treats. Amenities such as gas grill, central A/C, washer/dryer were nice -- and fresh new pillows were a plus!

The location is on a small road, tucked away and very quiet, with a huge lawn going down to the lake. It was especially nice to have central air conditioning in those hot summer days. It's a small house, but very comfortable with everything you'll need to cook, bbq, and have lots of fun. It is a heavily wooded area, and right on the water, so be ready for some mosquitos.

Lake Galway Stay
This was a beautiful property on lovely Lake Galway. We enjoyed dining outside with the lake view and used the kayak for paddles around the lake. We found the property to be well located for bike rides on the many rail-trail bike routes in the area. Although out in the country, the property was 30 minutes from Saratoga Springs and 60 minutes from Lake George. We took day trips to each of these locations to enjoy the mineral baths at Saratoga Springs, and a boat ride around Lake George. It is a simple property with 2 bedrooms, we used the futon in the living room, and the bed in the master bedroom instead of the smaller 2nd bedroom as these beds were more comfortable. It was also a bonus to have a washer/dryer combination on the main level. The host was laid back and easy to deal with and treated us to a delicious pizza and bottle of wine. Thanks Peter!
