About this house rental
My aim was to create different spaces that would meet all the moods that may take you on a vacation. On the first floor you will find a large living space with cozy couch and a 55” smart tv, for those evenings where the whole family wants to chill out and watch movies. There is also a quieter reading area at the end of the living space with a comfy chaise and chair, perfect for getting lost in a good book but close enough to still feel involved. The ground floor has a large kitchen with all the essentials you could need to make this house feel like your home. The dining area has a large round table ideal for those evening feasts. There's also a deck off the kitchen/dining area for eating al fresco. You will also find two large queen bedrooms on this level, tucked away from the main heart of the house for a quiet night’s sleep.
Upstairs you will find three bedrooms and a bathroom. The first is a large master bedroom with a king bed, a second king bedroom and the third is a bunk room with a twin bed and twin over a full bunk bed. All these bedrooms have large, built-in closets.
The lower level has a full bathroom and additional sleeping space. The game room also has a foosball table, dart board, TV with games consoles and a bar area with a built-in fridge, offering a great space for kids and adults to unwind together.

Property is setback from the road, is very private, and landscape presents itself well. The house rooms (bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen) were configured very nice for a group of 16. Kitchen was a little small. House maintenance was adequate, but not great. Biggest issue is having no air conditioning on several days that were hot. We purchased 2 window air conditions and were comfortable after that. House had 2-1/2 bathrooms, and really needed another full bathroom. Basement playroom required a dehumidifier that was emptied daily. In spite of the negative issues, the house met our needs, so I would give the property about 3-1/2 stars out of 5.

This is tucked away in Tremont and was very private. Definitely a great place to stay if you want to spend time on the “Quiet side” of the island which I recommend highly.

Perfect home base for our stay in the Acadia Park/Bar Harbor area.

Everything was clean and it was spacious. It fit our families quite well and was a good HQ for our stay.

This house served as a great "home base" for our family of ten (ages 4 to 75) as we enjoyed all Acadia had to offer. The house was rustic but spacious with lots of space to sleep, gather or find some solitude to read a book. Lots of wildlife, including deer in the backyard and frogs in the pool! 😳. The yard and pool area were a little overgrown and could have used a little more upkeep, but the kids swam for hours even though it was chilly.

On Mount Desert Island- about 25-30min drive to Bar Habor/ Acadia NP. Downstairs game room great for kids. Wifi in the house is great, but not as great in surrounding area. Super quiet and peaceful street, easy to lose track of time. House is spacious and well built/kept. Host responsive and kind.

We celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary by taking them to Maine. This house suited our needs perfectly. It was clean and just as pictured on the website. The layout of the house made it very roomy for 15 people. The kids enjoyed the pool and the basketball court as well as the Wii.
There was a small leak in the kitchen sink and the owner responded immediately and it was fixed the next day.
There is no air conditioning in the house, which wasn’t really an issue except the upstairs bedrooms were a little bit hot and not all of the windows had screens in them to be able to open them.
We would definitely rent this house again!

Great House for a Group
Our group of 4 adults and 10 teenagers had an amazing time at the house and exploring Mt. Desert Island. We were there during a heat wave so the pool was our saving grace at the end of hot afternoons in Acadia. The teens loved that there was a basketball net and used it every day of our stay. The house was big enough that we could spread out and no one felt like we were on top of one another but it was still very homey.
The host was helpful: very responsive to messages and understanding when a dish broke in the kitchen.

Acadia family trip
Lovely home, comfortable beds, clean swimming pool (cold in June as you would expect - but kids still loved it !). Backyard shuffleboard- very fun! Basketball halfcourt - but balls were flat - an accessible ball pump would be great. The kids enjoyed the wii game system too! The home could use more pillows and more comfortable pillows, dishwasher soap, simple things for the kitchen- cooking oil or cooking spray, conditioner in the bathroom, there’s a basement-like smell in the basement. Very peaceful location close to Acadia. Suited our needs very well, but for the price a few simple amenities go along way in comfort. Thank you for sharing your peaceful home!

Great Experience
We were very happy with our stay. The pictures in the listing actually don't do it justice. The house is large while still feeling like a home. The condition of the house was generally excellent. We were disappointed that the pool wasn't open, but it being June in Maine, we understand why. The lot feels very secluded - so much so that we forgot there were other neighbors until we were politely reminded. Communication with the owner was easy and they were highly responsive.

Our entire family Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your beautiful home.
We do apologize for not being able to do a load of laundry but we did not realize there was no laundry detergent until the morning of our departure. Otherwise everything was simply wonderful and we thank you so kindly.

Nice place!
Big and beautiful! Very comfortable. Had a great time with family. Quiet spot, quiet road. A little mix up in the beginning about gas for the gas stove...sorted out quickly. Beautiful pool. Kitchen pretty well stocked accept knives. The kitchen stove could work much better. We cooked for a bunch of us and if you have all burners going it does not heat anything well. And if you cook...it would be nice to have better windows to open with screens in them. However, everything else was wonderful and we had a great time. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Gorgeous Place w/ a Pool
Our family’s stay here in late August-Labor Day was excellent - the property is as advertised and in the photos. The owner is great - friendly, responsive, accommodating and hospitable. The place is in nature, with a short drive to town(s) and pretty much everywhere on the island is easily accessible (including ponds/lakes/trails/coast). We’d definitely come back!
