Property was just as shown on site. We had an enjoyable week with excellent weather. The kids fished in the canal while we watched from the deck.

We enjoyed our off-season week in October at this lovely house. It was well-equipped and my husband and I and our dog had plenty of room inside. Especially nice was the backyard, which is on a canal. We really enjoyed sitting out there in the sunshine and watching beautiful sunsets. Inside, the only downside was that we weren't able to use the fireplace because there is a crack in the liner. It would have been nice to have a fire during the chilly nights. We're looking forward to returning to this home! Owner was very responsive when we had questions/concerns.

Perfect location for the Oceans Calling Music Festival!
We tired out our dogs at the beach by day and enjoyed the music festival in the evening! Easy walk to the beach across the street and easy drive to Ocean City for the festival! This is our second time staying at this house and we love it!

This is a very nice home and property. Very relaxing and quiet. I don't have anything negative to say about this rental. The owner is very nice and responsive. I love being able to have my boat tied up at the private dock. Nice ramp for kayaks and small boats. We're definitely going back.

We stayed here for a few weeks in the winter. The location is great. It's away from the hustle and bustle, yet the beach is a short 5 minute walk. Kitchen was fully stocked. We enjoyed our stay.

This property was large enough for our family to enjoy some bonding time but also to retreat to significant bedroom space on the 2nd floor. The best part was the screened in porch looking over the canal - we spent much of our time out there. The kitchen was large and the walk to the dog friendly part of the beach was perfect.

Pretty water view and close to beach
The location was perfect. Close enough to walk to beach and beautiful water view on the canal. Loved eating dinner on the screened in porch and spending our evenings out there.

Disappointing
This property needs work both inside and outside. Outdated and appliances are old. Screen doors need replacing .Screened in porch furniture
was dirty and full of pollen . I needed to wipe it down . The propane tank was empty and it was suppose to be full. We managed to have a great time at the beach. The location is convenient. This house is not worth the asking price.

Another perfect stay!!
Enjoyed this stay even more than last year! It was just perfect. Phyllis is a wonderful host and checked in to assure everything was going well, which I really appreciated. The house and location can’t be beat. Visited favorite spots in the area and discovered some new favorites, too. Thank you, Phyllis, for sharing your home. I cannot wait to return!

We have a great time as this property. The property and location are wonderful. I wish the beds were a little more comfortable and that the bath mat was changed out of one of the bathrooms. Overall a great place that we would choose again.

Amazing Memories - STAY HERE!!!
We absolutely LOVED staying at Phyllis’ house in South Bethany. It’s a spectacular location! We brought our kayaks and made great use of them, paddling straight from the front yard! Our kids loved seeing boats go by on the canal and waving to them from the many porches. Getting to the beach was easy - a 10 min walk or a 2 min drive. The S Bethany beach parking passes made it a breeze. South Bethany is a fantastic, peaceful, quiet beach with a TON of shells for the kids to okay with. And on your way to the beach you can pick up a delicious corned beef pastrami sandwich from the new Rosenfeld’s Deli that just opened up on the corner! The house is a phenomenal layout for family gatherings. We had lots of family and friends stop by - the open floor plan, the game table (yes we played lots of games, thank you!), the bar - which we set up as a permanent snack bar - made it such a fun, easy place to entertain. Phyllis was incredibly helpful and kind. She was very responsive. The only thing that could have improved our experience is that two of the bedrooms have windows overlooking the interior living room - which would be fine except there is no glass there - just a set of shutters that don’t seal off the noise. So we could hear our kids and our parents in the living room playing as early as 7am. It wasn’t possible to sleep late in this house with little kids. Regardless I would definitely come back to Phyllis’ house. It was a magical experience being there!

Bayside Fun
The house was minutes from the beach and the parking pass came in handy. We brought dog and took her to local state park Beach. The house is clean, no bugs or crumbs. Four bedrooms and spacious porch. We grilled out a couple of nights and was glad they equipped us with a back up tank. Caught crabs from dock and released them. Food places were plentiful, Ocean City MD was a short drive away. Would recommend .

Perfect for a family with fur kids!
Perfect location for a family with dogs! We walked to the beach everyday adjacent to the human beach is the state park where dogs are allowed! My dog is a Great Lakes gal and it was her first time in the ocean she loved it! I loved how close we were to fenwick, Bethany, Rehoboth, and Ocean city we visited all of them. The WiFi was great my husband had to work a day and I had class but working and going to class with a view of the water was AWESOME!! The owner was attentive and responded quickly to emails and alerted us of storms that were forecasted. Definitely will come back again! We stayed right before memorial perfect week to visit the beaches!! Thanks for a great getaway!!

Bethany Sunsets a Great Family Vacation Destination
Prior to and during our stay Phyllis was very responsive to any questions we had about the property and the area. A great host ! The property itself is a wonderful house for a family vacation. Lots to do in the surrounding area but far enough away from the action of the beaches to allow for relaxation if that's what you need.
Overall a great stay and would not hesitate to do again.

South Bethany VRBO. My husband and I spend a wonderful month at Phyllis’s VRBO! It was a great vaca.
The house was perfect for us. We had our own kayaks and could explore all the waterways right from the back yard. We enjoyed grilling out and taking advantage of all the nice seafoods available. It was just a short 10 minute walk from the house to the beach. We walked 3 miles every day with our dog Stella. The house is very well equipped and the neighborhood was quiet.
Phyllis was a great host! We hope to come back next year!!

Fantastic off-season stay!
This was a wonderful find in South Bethany. The owner was communicative and handled all of our questions quickly, and the house was in great condition when we arrived. The house is a quick walk to the beach, which makes it especially convenient. The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances and other kitchen supplies. While only three of us stayed there, the house could easily hold two families of four. Overall, a great find and an enjoyable stay.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a getaway from Philly for a few weeks, and we found Phyllis' wonderful home! I grew-up going to Rehoboth, Dewey and Ocean City, MD, but I'd never spent much time in Bethany. It's one of the quiet beach resorts in the area, and Phyllis' house was just that. Compared to city life, her home was so quiet! I loved waking up in the morning being able to see the water in the canal from the bed. The Wi-Fi was powerful enough that I was able to teach and work from her house, and it was great sitting at the kitchen table being able to see the water glisten in the sunlight as I worked. It was only my boyfriend and me, but the home is definitely well suited for large groups. There is one king and one queen bed and four single beds. The kitchen was well equipped and had a Keurig. There is a 1/2 bath on the 1st floor and 2 full bathrooms on the 2nd floor. We had everything we needed while we were there. We took our small dog, Suki, with us, and she loved it! It was great to be able to take her on the beach, and there was a PETCO only about a 10-15 drive where we were easily able to pickup some more food for her. Close-by the house are Bethany Beach, Fenwick State Park and Delaware Seashore State Park. Ocean City, MD and Assateague Island aren't far either. It might have been the winter time, but there were still plenty of places to eat. Our favorites were the classic Grotto's Pizza, The Penguin and Harpoon Hanna's. The grocery stores within 15 minutes are a Giant, Food Lion and Harris Teeter. I personally liked the Harris Teeter the best, but be sure to sign up for the store card to get the shopping discounts. Overall Phyllis' place is a wonderful getaway, and she is such a responsive host! Our initial trip was about four weeks, but my boyfriend checked with her to see about a possible extension, and we were able to stay almost another two weeks, which was great. I would definitely stay here again, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, beach getaway. Phyllis' home is well kept and clean, and we had a wonderful stay!

Lovely stay at Bethany Sunsets!
We had a serene and wonderful stay at Bethany Sunsets! The location is so ideal with the beach just a short drive, bike-ride, or walk away. I did all three during our stay. It’s close enough that we could hear the waves crashing at night.
The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, yet close to the beach and other activities like dining and shopping. McCabe’s was a favorite for coffee and lunches. Also, we were able to bring our dog along, which made it especially perfect for us.
The house is comfortable and spacious and we really appreciated the layout. I enjoyed the balconies and covered porch and the huge kitchen. So many spots to gather, or find a spot alone to relax. The yard with hammock, Adirondack chairs, picnic table and dock was a popular spot for us and our dog. It’s so tranquil on the canal. The wet bar was awesome and made for a fun time! I really appreciated that there was a desk and the WiFi worked well for us.
Phyllis was so communicative and helpful. I knew if we needed anything, she was a phone call and short drive away.
We fell in love with South Bethany and Bethany Sunsets hosted a perfect getaway with memories we’ll forever cherish. It was hard to say goodbye, but we look forward to returning!!

Fun times in South Bethany!
We had a great time at our week in South Bethany! Great location! Easy walk or ride (beach side parking permits included!) to the beach! We really enjoyed being on the canal and ordered kayaks and SUP’s from Coastal Kayak to enjoy for the week! Our pups also loved being with us and going for long walks!! Thank you so much Phyllis for sharing your home with us! Comfortable sleeping arrangements and we appreciated the umbrellas that were left in the laundry room!

Tropical storm vacation
Despite the tropical storm, we had a great stay. The owner is very accommodating, friendly and cares about your stay. House was very clean which for me is crucial. We brought a boat and enjoyed crabbing and cruising around the water ways when not on the beach. Very quite and friendly neighbors. The absolute best part of this property is the location. Short walk, or bike to the beach. When we did drive, we always managed to find parking easily. Hope to be back next summer.

Perfect Getaway
The house was the perfect place to stay for our group (5 ppl, 2 dogs). We ate at home for every breakfast and dinner, the option to eat indoors/outdoors came in a very handy when we wanted to enjoy the weather or relax inside. The layout of the house made for a very relaxing stay especially the wet bar! Upstairs having 2 wings that were on separate systems allowed the 2 groups to maximize our comfort level. The balconies attached to the king and queen bedrooms provided excellent views and lounge areas.
Maybe the best part for our group was the location of the house. On a peaceful canal, but only a 10 minute walk to the beach, with a stop light at the crossing area. Even better for us, was the fact that we could use the parking passes to park on the street next to the beach. Finally the at the end of the neighborhood the south Bethany beach ends and the York beach begins, so we were able to bring our dogs with us everyday!
