INSIDE THE HOUSE
Enter into the open-concept, mountain-view living space. Sit down to dinner at the 10-person dining table – the mountains are your dinner’s backdrop. To the right is a living room with a huge sectional sofa with room for the whole group to sprawl out. A 55” internet-connected flat-screen TV ensures you don’t miss your favorite shows, and a set of doors leads to the patio from here.
Terra-cotta tile extends into the kitchen. Its large galley design includes tons of prep space on butcher block counters and a double stainless sink. Everything you need is here: an electric range, side-by-side refrigerator/freezer w/ water and ice, a microwave, toaster and a Keurig coffeemaker. The kitchen door makes it easy to take dinner out to the patio.
Past the kitchen you’ll find the 1st bedroom with a full-size bed and a perfect view of the sunset.
The 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed and a 32” Vizio television, bluetooth soundbar - plus sliding doors to the rear patio.
Across the hall, the shared bathroom includes a large, single-sink vanity with lots of storage and a tub/shower combo.
The spacious master bedroom is at the end of the hall, with a queen-size bed, a 40” TV and an en suite bathroom with a vanity and walk-in shower. There are also double doors to the rear patio, which offers shaded space, a table that seats 6, outdoor furniture and lounges, a wet outdoor kitchen area, extra chairs and gorgeous views of the mountains.
In the evening, enjoy views of the starry sky or, in the morning, have your breakfast outside before the day warms up.
Hike or bike during the day (look for Bighorn Sheep!).

Our home is located within walking distance to downtown Borrego Springs, where you can dine, shop, or join a tour to learn about the desert ecosystem or Borrego Springs history. By night, the stars find their time to shine: Borrego Springs is a member of the International Dark Sky Association and the stargazing is spectacular!

We had a wonderful time. This home offered clean, spacious living with all the amenities we could ask for with a private patio/BBQ area. The only thing we would have needed was a place to hang up clothing in the primary bedroom and the front bedroom. The other bedroom had a very small area for hanging clothes. That being said, we would stay there again. Thank you!

We loved the home, and how well it was stocked with food prep equipment. I doubt you would need to bring anything. The living room slider badly needs new roller bearings, but everything else worked fine. We would hesitate to visit again.

Our third stay at Casa Colibri and we again thank Brad for being a great host, offering a very relaxing place to hang in and having it be so easy! We are happy to have some of our nightscape photos taken from our last trip posted on VRBO. This trip, we had some cloudy nights and some wind that interfered with another shoot, so we'll just have to come back!! We love this place for its ease of use, its overall comfort and security, and because the host makes it a perfect place. I'm sure we will return many more times as this house is very much the soul of Borrego Springs. Thanks again Brad!

Brad is the best. We’ve stayed here before and always enjoyed it. Great communication, spacious and comfy house. A bit of noise from Carlee’s on Friday evening, but still quiet overall. Central location is a plus.

This property worked very well for a friend and my three night stay in Borrego Springs. The house was spacious and well appointed. The outdoor patio space was large and covered. The kitchen was very well stocked. I would definitely recommend this property.

Casa Calibri is the perfect place for us to relax and enjoy the Anza Borrego desert. The views from every room are spectacular. I love the way the interior paint colors bring the desert inside. Everything from hiking trails to the Friday Farmer's Market, Julian apple pie (from the fudge store) and the Art Institute are close by. We are already planning our next stay!

This desert home was perfect for us..lots of privacy, wonderful patio with mountain back drop and walking distance to town. The house has everything we needed, and the beds were great. We spent 10 days with blue skies and sunshine. A great reluef from Pacific Northwest winter! Thanks.

We enjoyed our stay in Borrego Springs. The property was lovely. The kids enjoyed the spacious front and back yards. The views of the desert and mountains and sky were as beautiful as billed.
I wish we had known about the loud music and noise on Friday (till 9pm) and Saturday (till around 10:30ish pm) from a bar in town. The sound just carries out there. Also, the telescope was missing, which we had planned to use for star gazing.
Nonetheless, we loved our stay and would go back.

We love Anza-Borrego and this was our best stay yet. Brad and Genie’s place was spacious, comfortable, clean, centrally located, quiet, and altogether delightful. We’d love to stay here again. December in the desert is glorious!

We loved everything about this place. The setting is very peaceful and relaxing. The dark skies make for the best stargazing! The owners have thought of everything—they have a great selection of board games and lawn games for entertainment. Their guest book gave us a couple of great ideas as well—one of which was scorpion hunting at night with a black light flashlight from the kitchen. My kids found a scorpion each night and thought it was sooo cool to see it glowing under the light!! (I was probably just as excited as them, to be honest.) The patio is a wonderful place to relax. And the overall cleanliness and amenities of the place were perfect. As far as activities in the area, we spent a day exploring Anza Borrego. The visitor center has a neat little scavenger hunt for the kids, and then we hiked The Slot which was very pretty and another favorite for the kids.
We honestly wished we had a couple more days in this place! Highly recommend!

All 3 of us really enjoyed our stay here and only wish we had more time. The house was very clean, kitchen well-equipped and overall had a lived-in friendly feel. We spent most of the time on the back patio (super comfy) checking out the stars and birds.

Cheerful and comfortable home with all that you need. Well located. Outside space is a delightful as well. A coming backer, for sure. You’ll have to read our journal entry in the house to get the nitty gritty on the hikes. :)

We keep returning to Casa Colibri for its location close to town and trails, and its beauty inside and out. The paint and decorating colors bring the desert inside. The large windows and sliders have mesmerizing views of the Anza Borrego desert. It's the perfect retreat where we can start our day with coffee on the patio, hike a great trail nearby, walk to dinner and then lounge outdoors after dark watching the stars.

We had a great stay in Borrego Springs with desert surroundings walking distance to town.
The home was very cozy and breakfast on the back patio was perfect accompanied by hummingbirds.
Plenty of cooking supplies and the grill made dinners more entertaining. The kitchen was well stocked with seasoning ingredients plus oils and condiments.
It’s a great area to get out and enjoy nature along with being much warmer than the northeast!

Successful three-day vacation with friends
Host, Brad, was very responsive and helpful. The house was very well equipped. Very clean and stuffed with various goodies, like cereals, vine, coffee, spices etc. Beautiful, well furnished terrace, ideal place to spend mornings and evenings. Place us on the walking distance from the “downtown”. Couldn't find anything negative.

Peaceful desert getaway
The house was exactly what my husband and I were looking for to spend Easter weekend in Borrego Springs. We stayed with our two children aged 5 and 2 in order to visit with family staying at a nearby RV resort. The house was very nice with plenty of space and perfect to retire to in between visiting with family at the campgrounds. Location of the house is great! Highly recommend!

This is our second stay in this pleasant and well-situated home near downtown Borrego Springs! Clean, well-stocked kitchen, welcome gifts and many extras, we really enjoyed our stay here! We loved the fire pit out back and the hyperactive hummingbirds! Brad is quick to respond and we really had no problems. Check-in was a breeze. We hope to return again!

Ideal base for exploring Anza Borrego
This was our second stay at Casa Calibri. We love the proximity to hiking trails and local businesses, and the home's many amenities make it a perfect place to relax after a day out exploring. Brad and Genie have thought of everything (see their comprehensive home manual) and always respond quickly to questions. We didn't have a chance to use the firepit so I guess we'll have to come back!

Fabulous House
My two sisters and I loved this house.. everyone had a comfortable bedroom. The kitchen was well stocked and the living room nicely separated from bedrooms. The back patio was a joy, complete with beautiful ripe limes right off the tree.

The home was very clean upon arrival. Instructions & access very simple & secure. Home is close to Christmas circle, grocery stores & restaurants.
The patio was the real reason why I selected this home. The covered patio, BBQ, lounge chairs & spectacular view were all very enjoyable for morning coffee & evening cocktails. The real wood burning fire ring is nice to sit around when the sun goes down, so bring some fire wood.
The living room has a large sofa, comfy chairs & WiFi TV which allowed us to watch our favorite football teams or morning FOX news.
The circle driveway makes easy for easy access for loading or unloading items. Just remember not to drive into the backyard as this is where the septic system is located.
I would definitely rent the home in the future.
The owner is super nice & allowed us to stay an extra night at the normal rate on a very short notice.

This was our second visit to Brad & Genie's place. Anytime you encounter a repeat-visitor, it should speak volumes! This house is so comfortable and the hosts are the kindest people. Despite the cooler weather in December, it was so nice and relaxing. The house is warm, safe and quiet. This is our favorite place in Borrego and we hope to be back many more times. loved our week at this house
Convenient location for walking to restaurants, shops, and farmers' market. Especially loved outdoor patio with comfortable furniture, barbecue, citrus trees and hummingbirds. Kitchen was well stocked and house very comfortable. Brad and Genie presented us with a welcome gift and went out of their way to make sure everything went well.

Space and more space.
This house has the best back-patio space ever. While it was only my wife and myself enjoying an escape from the (0ily) coast, we really liked all the space this house and patio offers. The TV and living room was awesome, so we binged on "Queen's Gambit" and rode our on/off road electric scooters several miles on multiple runs. The ride up to the state park camp ground is awesome. Brad & Genie did a great job putting together a very easy access, super comfortable place that is ideal for a launching point to see various parts of the beautiful area, but just hanging on the patio is nice enough and gave us a lightning show and some stars at night. We had all we ever needed and enjoyed the fact Brad's family is shown in photos here and there, its nice to see legacy and family, and know you renting from kind, generous people. Thanks Brad & Genie, we'll definitly be coming back here each time!

Casa Colibri was fabulous!
What a excellent rental. One of the reasons we choose this home was for the ability of my 98 year old mother to feel comfortable in a walker visiting with myself and siblings after some covid distance. The home was so clean and well suited for 5 adults. I cooked all our meals at the property with the exception of pizza from Carlies one night. The weather was hot so our hiking was limited to sunrise hikes each morning. Nothing like watching the sunrise in Boreggo, it is beautiful. The patio is so comfortable with the fans and the furniture. Enjoyed being close to town to walk to the farmers market and the stores. The beds are so comfortable we all mentioned how we can’t wait until our next visit. Thanks for sharing your home with us. We made some great family memories.
