First, FYI- the railing on the back porch is very loose. We were taking a family photo on the left hand side lined up where the straight across section makes a bend and I slightly to get my son in front of me and the railing moved and made a cracking sound. VERY DANGEROUS AND WILL NEED ATTENTION BEFORE YOU RENT!!
**MAIN FLOOR TOILET in laundry area clogged since Thursday night.
Overall wonderful stay. The location is beautiful and loved the paved road up to the house!! The house had everything we needed and the kitchen was stocked with everything. Had to hunt sometimes but eventually found it. The kids enjoyed the game room very much!! Very cool house.

The home has beautiful views in is secluded although it is quite a trip up,a winding road. The kitchen was very well stocked and the beds were very comfortable.
The negatives were that there was no internet access.
The refrigerator downstairs was not cooling. Repairs were promised but never made. Some maintenance needs to be done to the railing out back that has a hole in it where wasps would enter but that is nothing compared to the overall house comfort.

This home couldn't have worked out any better for our group. The size and bedroom layout was perfect for 8 guys on a golf trip. And the view was amazing. We will definitely book again!

This house is so comfortable, it is our home away from home. We have stayed here three years now and look forward to a forth year. The house is roomy and nicely laid out, and so convenient to the mountains, restaurants and everything in between. There are a few items that need updating, such as the Wi-Fi, which is way too slow, and the shower door on the upstairs bath needs repair, it falls off the rack. Those are minor issues with everything the house offers. Thanks for a great stay!

Highly disappointed ! property needs deep cleaning; cobwebs on lamps, dust under furniture, jacuzzi not clean, some lights out , handrail not attached and tv not working properly. I reported tv to rental office and was told someone would not be available this past Monday (Oct 3); then it was the person was sick. I asked if anyone else could come and the answer was “this is the person we use, sorry”. I had reserved this property for Oct 2-7, on Wednesday morning I had had enough and we left the property and came home to Apex,NC. The property could be very nice for families, but it really needs some attention. This has made me Leary of booking anything else thru Vrbo as I lost money snd did not have a pleasant time in the mountains.

The house was very nice. There was space for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked for eating in. Had an issue with the Dish tv but the management company took care of it immediately. Would recommend for a large family.

Great House
We enjoyed our stay at the Sleepy Baer Lodge very much. The house is beautiful and comfortable. Took trips to Asheville, Gatlinburg and Pidgeon Forge. Unfortunately, snow didn't come until our last day and then we were worried that we wouldn't get off the mountain but that was not a problem. We didn't see the Crew but the road was drivable pretty soon and we had nothing to worry about. Thank you for a wonderful trip and
stay.

Enjoyed our stay at Sleepy Bear. House needs a little TLC, faucet in kitchen has a bad drip, bad door knob needs fixed & the door knob going into the garage needs repaired. Internet works in living room, but really slow, but you are in the mountains.

Great for gathering of old friends
Sleepy Bear Lodge was perfect for our college mini-reunion. The house was as advertised and the rental representatives were great about answering questions, prep, check-in, and handling issues once we arrived. A great place to unplug for a week, whether we were enjoying the house or heading out into the mountains for the day. It's worth getting up early to see dawn break from the deck!

Beautiful Mountain View
My family met here for a week from different parts of the country. The house was well appointed and we had room for all of us. I would say that the property could use a little TLC. My biggest issue was that when I was searching for a home to rent I had put in a filter of handicap accessible and this property was included however it is not ADA. My grandson has CP and is
In a wheelchair. We were able to have him in the lowers level but we had to carry him up and down stairs and the wheelchair which was not great. Luckily he was not an adult in a wheelchair. Overall though it was a great stay. The most beautiful view of the Smokies we could ask for morning, noon or night.

Beautiful views
The property was just as described and the property manager quick to address any questions. My sisters and nieces enjoyed our time in the area. The house had plenty of room to get together for dinner or game nights, or have time to yourself. Thank you to the hosts and property managers. I hope to come back for a stay in the future.

Great home with a beautiful view. Home has 2 master suites, as well as 2 other bedrooms. Property has great bones, but could use a little tlc. Property managers were amazingly responsive to any needs we had during our 5 week stay. We would recommend this home .

Overall I would rate my stay 3 and 1/2 to 4 stars. There are some concerns like a fire alarm being unplugged and inside of cabinet not mounted were supposed to be, broken light switches/ wall plates, shower wall separating from the door frame, broken and rotted off hand railing along stairs outside outdoors and on the balcony out back and a couple of outdoor lights inop. The cleanliness was average and some of the furniture showing age and wear and tear.As far as the staff everyone I interacted with was very pleasant.

utterly breathtaking!
Beautiful grounds, easy check-in and check-out, and great communication. The drive up the mountain was a little intense, but the view was well worth it! Overall a very memorable trip.

Enjoyed
Very much enjoyed the stay there. A few things to note though, One of the gas knob was messed up where you could not use the burner. The cold faucet handle on kitchen sink was loose pretty bad, and also the cold knob on the master bath tub was broken. Other than that it was a beautiful view of the mountains from the balcony

Beautiful Cabin!
My family had an amazing time staying at this cabin! The entire process from booking to check-out was flawless and done with ease. It’s in a perfect location on the mountain and our morning coffee was so much more enjoyable with the porch view! It was absolutely breathtaking. The home interior was beautiful and clean. There was plenty of indoor entertainment for everyone of all ages and surrounding activities were fairly close as well. This was our first vacation where no one complained so we will definitely be back in the near future! :)

Gorgeous views, excellent beds, great pillows. Don’t forget your blankets! Bring toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags if you’re staying longer than 3 days. Many places to park! Not treacherous to get to. Beautiful wrap around porch. Have nothing bad to say.. would definitely come back!

Lovely spot for family
Gorgeous views, cozy decor, misty mornings, everything you want for a Smokey Mountains weekend. Our young daughters loved the playground in the neighborhood. Grandparents loved coffee on the porch. Everyone loved the picnic and splashing in the steam at Parham Memorial Park just down the road in the valley. Contact-less pickup and drop off of keys was appreciated as an extra pandemic precaution.
