Visited with a large family group and the house is well set up to accommodate it. The location is really peaceful with a wonderful outlook across the valley and no far to either Albany or Denmark. Had a wonderful stay.

This is a wonderful holiday home where families can relax and enjoy a peaceful country setting in a comfortable home with all amenities. Everything is provided to make things easy from the provisions in the kitchen to comfortable bedrooms to activities to keep you entertained, inside and outside. The children loved the animals and the adults the peace!
Our hosts were quick to respond to any queries and went over and above expectations to help us out. Thank you so much.

We were delighted to find this property due to a lack of options to cater for a large family group just before Christmas and the super location. However, our excitement quickly turned to disappointment and we really dislike writing unhappy reviews. A "boutique property" should have a high standard of cleanliness to match the lovely furnishings, and this property was far from clean. One bed had black hairs in the sheets; we had to wipe out the fridge and wash many kitchen items prior to use because they were dirty; the kitchen generally was grimy; the family toilet and shower cubicle had accummulated pubic hair/hair and dust; the windows were dirty both inside and out, which ruined the view, with dead flies and insects on the window sills. (Pictures can be supplied if requested). We complained to the manager and waited over the weekend for a cleaner to arrive on Monday.
Although this is not the owner's fault, after returning from an outing one day we encountered a snake curled up on the cement next to the wooden gate, which we only saw after the gate was opened and the first person walked through. This roused the snake and the second person discovered it when the snake reared to bite them as they walked through. Luckily they were able to jump backwards and shut the gate, at which point the snake slithered across the concrete to hide near the gas tanks. This despite snake deterrents throughout the garden, so a warning not to rely on the snake deterrents - we took a picture and video and identified it to be a highly venomous tiger snake. We are so thankful the second person through the gate did not get bitten!

Lovely huge house suitable for large families. Had everything we needed including herbs and spices, cleaning products and stocked medical kit. The kids loved feeding the alpacas each day.

Overall we had a great stay. It was winter and cold, but we were fortunate in that there was little rain. The location is great and an easy drive to both Denmark and Albany, being roughly half way between them.
Little things were a small nuisance… The power kept tripping, internet is virtually non existent, and some fittings are a little tired (the sound on the TV wasn’t working properly, and several plates on the oven didn’t work).
More positively, the rooms are nicely themed (and an African safari theme runs through the house) and what matters most - we had a really enjoyable family time.

We Will Be back..
Absolutely stunning property and well maintained. All the necessary amenities were provided. No Mobile reception Yet we didn't mind staying disconnected from the rest of the world for few days even though Wifi was provided. Our Stay was nice and cozy during an unexpected cold front in spring. We all loved our stay.. Definitely will be back,,

AMAZING!!
Wow!! What an incredible stay. We LOVED our time here, the house was stunning and the surrounding land even more beautiful. The space was perfect for our big family, the rooms were quiet and private. The wifi wasn’t strong and there’s no reception, but other than that we had an amazing time. Would stay again for sure!! Thanks guys.

Family Break
We had 9 adults share the property which had plenty of room to find your own space. Well located to allow us all to go in different direction and explore the area. The beach is only a short drive around the corner and also able to take early morning walks and not see anyone.
The house is nicely furnished with some really interesting photos, each with a story behind them. Finding the plaque on a bolder was a nice touch.
Highly recommend booking the place and will consider returning for a mid winter break.

Lovely stay.
Lovely. Nice and spacious. Beautiful beach close by but unfortunately path to beach has been slightly washed away and made it too difficult for elderly to walk down. Please thank the owners for their anniversary gift. It was much appreciated.

Spacious, luxurious, peaceful, secluded property. Wonderful stay with family. Lots of room for everyone. Tuneful turkeys and inquisitive but respectful alpacas included ! Children enjoyed running around in the spacious lawn area as well as the puzzles and games included in the toy box. Kitchen was very well equipped for preparing meals in. However we discovered a tray of vegetable patties discovered in the old style oven - someone's lunch? Not sure how long it was there for. Denmark was only 20 minutes drive away and we loved exploring nearby Lowlands Beach, West Cape Howe etc

There is every mod con, an extensive kitchen with a fab range and large dining room where we ate and played cards oohh and had a few wines. We drove to Lowlands beach (2 mins) and later fished where we managed to catch some whiting and herring. There is so much to see and do and Indlovu Intaba Farm is the perfect setting to come back to. Private and Peaceful. Thanks Alex and Jenni ...we will be back ..

Winter holiday with friends and teens
There were lots of things we love about this property, easy communication with owners (I stuffed them around by changing the dates but they were very accommodating and easy going) location being close to Denmark, Albany and West Cape Howe. The property has lots of space both inside and out, it was clean, tidy and had lots of seating... bed are great. Our teenage kids found connecting to mobile difficult as we had banned the WiFi (it's a little expensive if you go over the daily limit) but after the first day the (the teenagers) actually talked and played games, it was great. The tiny issues we encountered, there is no extraction in the bathrooms so they fog up and stay wet. The dining room isn't insulated and was cold. We moved a heater and this helped. Note we stayed in the middle of winter. I will add the kitchen facilities were great with enough wine glasses which we used every night to taste the great wine the region has to offer. Thanks for the great house we will be back.

The property is perfectly situated between Albany and Denmark, only a few minutes from beautiful Lowlands Beach. The house is spacious and fully equipped with all amenities. It has an amazing African decor, surrounded by tranquil meadows and unique livestock. We absolutely loved our stay and recommend it for anyone wanting to get away from a busy city life.

Great location
The property's location is absolutely amazing. The little beach at the end of the road is a very special place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay but I thought I would point a few things out that you may want to address with your cleaners.
The cleanliness of the house was not the greatest. I vacuumed the main lounge/tv room when we arrived as the floor seemed to be very dusty and when we moved some of the furniture around it was noticeable that the cleaners are not moving the furniture and cleaning underneath. There were a lot of spiderwebs all over the house, including under the main bedroom's bed. The BBQ was also not clean. I did give it a good scrub so hopefully it was left in a suitable state.
We could not lock the sliding door whenever we left the house. We tried to contact both numbers you gave us and no one responded.
The furniture in the house is also quite damaged which is not a massive issue but thought I would point it out.

Great place to stay
Everyone loved it. Great place to relax and detached yourself from social media because of the limited internet access; we all got the chance to enjoy the beautiful scenery and savour the moment with family and friends.
•greeted by the alpacas on our arrival
•cozy rooms with nice and comfy beds
Highly recommended for a large group of people travelling.

Great farm stay
A group of 12 of us stayed here for the long weekend and had a fantastic time. Located close to half way between Albany and Denmark, it was an easy drive to both and lots of activities to do. It was decked out African themed, had lots of space for us all and was in a very peaceful, quiet spot. Unfortunately the TV didn't work for a few hours but eventually decided to work and the phone reception is very limited but it is the perfect way to escape reality, had everything you could want in the house plus more, the owners were great to deal with and we really enjoyed our stay.

Unique and secluded
The positive:
Beautiful spot, secluded and just an unique place in many ways. Alpacas relaxing in the garden and birds waking you up in the morning. Nice little porch to watch the stars at night. The house has all the basics that you need. We slept 7 adults quite comfortable, the master bedroom is particularly nice. Perfect location for exploring the region.
The negative:
Cleaning was less than average, it felt like no one had been there for a while. Internet was down for a day (it's in the middle of nowhere so..) and there is a limit per day you can use and a charge of 50aud when you exceed it so be careful. The dining area is on a patio so it's cold in the night but there's a heater and with some mosquito repellent you should be fine. In this moment there is a disagreement with the owners regarding them retaining the whole bond off 500aud without even discussing it do to a damage on the sofa table saying that it's irreparable (a glued piece of plastic) and the whole table has to be replaced. I hope we will come to a compromise about it but they haven't replied me at all so I'm currently putting my trust in Homeaway.
