About this apartment rental
Best of London. A stunning penthouse located next to the W Hotel, split over two floors with three king-size bedrooms and two bathrooms, and an expansive roof terrace overlooking both Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus.
The penthouse is professionally managed and has hotel quality linens and towels, fast WIFI, cable TVs (with Netflix!) in the living room and all bedrooms, a dishwasher, washer-dryer, Nespresso machine, and much more.
The Space:
A beautifully designed and truly unique space with statement furnishings to boot. The wide open space is defined by its curved lines, sweeping wooden beams, winding architectural staircase, and countless windows that bathe the apartment in natural light.
There are enormous king-size beds, fluffy towels and crisp linens, two bathrooms (one ensuite), and a very spacious living area that open up onto the huge roof terrace — you’ll never want to leave!
We’ve thought through everything so you don’t have to. There's super fast WIFI, a Nespresso coffee machine, Netflix, TVs in each room (OK - not in the bathrooms), and all the amenities you expect in a home away from home, including —
A dishwasher, washer-dryer, massive fridge and freezer, cupboards full of cooking stuff to let your inner chef free, blackout curtains, and a rainfall shower.
Guest Access:
The whole space — the huge living area, massive terrace, three bedrooms, and two bathrooms — are entirely private and yours to make the most of.
Interaction with Guests:
Our dedicated host team, led by Alex, will be on hand throughout your stay to ensure you make the most of you time in London — whether it’s travel advice or restaurant recommendations, we’ll be here for you.
The Neighborhood:
You couldn't be more central with the whole of London on your doorstep - step out your front door into London's Chinatown, a few steps further and you have Leicester Square in one direction and Piccadilly Circus on the other.
Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square tube stations are less than 2 minute's walk and Oxford Street is just a few minutes more.
Getting Around:
Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square tube stations are on your doorstep. Otherwise hail one of London's famous black taxis!
House Rules:
• Not suitable for infants (under 2 years)
• No smoking
• No pets
• No parties or events
• Check-in is anytime after 3PM

Top flat but no lift
4.7
This was a last minute reservation (day before) due to an unexpected cancellation with another flat rental app reservation however there were a few issues/delays with check in. I saw my credit card was charged but didn’t get confirmation of the reservation until well in to the afternoon. As my group was flying in from the US and arriving early I requested early check in but never received feedback on that. Also had trouble with the check in info coming through in my email but was able to call the emergency number and get in to the building. Now, a major issue which isn’t explicitly stated is that the lift has been out of order for months and this flat is the penthouse, which meant carry suitcases up 75 stairs!! We absolutely would not have selected this flat if this had been made clear. When I asked about it the response was that mention of a lift had been removed from the amenities list. Other issues that arose during our stay included a strange man buzzing our unit trying to get in the building late at night (not the fault of the host but again something to consider being close to Chinatown I guess), we saw mice (a serious safety concern when you’re eating off surfaces and have suitcases of clothes on the floor), and when we turned on the stove it popped the circuit breaker (luckily we found the breaker box to reset) which indicates an electrical issue possibly). The flat was clean but definitely worn (spots on carpets, creaky floors, chipped paint, etc.) and although sheets/towels were provided they were limited so we had to request additional blankets (to the host’s credit they did respond promptly to that request, which we appreciated). Additionally, communication with the host was sporadic - sometimes it took hours to get a response. After checkout I did request a partial refund for all of the issues we experienced but it has been 10 days and I still have not heard any answer regarding my request. Overall i’m thankful we had a place to stay but definitely think this flat is very highly priced for what you get and there was a reason it was available last minute.

The design of the penthouse was very cool, but it was well-used with scuffs on the walls, stains on the carpets, and much of the furniture & decor was different from the images posted with the listing. In addition, we were unable to keep the windows open due to a constant foul odor in the neighborhood, which I believe was from a fryer at the Vegan restaurant below or one of the many restaurants in the area. The neighborhood was certainly loud, but it was nice being centrally located. The primary issue that we had with the unit was that the elevator/lift was broken and had been so for many months according to a tenant of the building, however, this information was never communicated to us and only discovered upon arrival with multiple heavy suitcases. When the listing says "We’ve thought through everything so you don’t have to.", but I would expect that a working elevator/lift would fall into that 'everything' category, and the fact that there was no mention of that issue for a unit on the 5th floor penthouse is unconscionable. My wife had a hip replacement just two months prior to arrival and navigating the 74-stairs up and down on a daily basis was very difficult. This is information that we should have been made aware of in advance of our stay as it would have had an effect on our choice for booking, especially since the lift has been broken for many months according to the information that we received. My attempted email communication after our stay was unfortunately ignored. Alex & team have been aware of the issue for months but chose to ignore it and not to make their guests aware, which is just bad business.

Okay for a stag party, but not for a family - Broken Elevator/Lift

Gorgeous penthouse flat. Open, airy, clean, and comfortable! Close to Tube, theater, restaurants, shopping--anything you could want from London! Cab rank right outside the door. Did sleep with ear plugs--China Town nearby has lots of partiers going home late, walking by laughing, singing, sometimes arguing. Love the city vibe, but I am a light sleeper. Would def stay here again! Would love to LIVE here!

The apartment needs minor improvements (such as a place for soap and shampoo at the showers) but overall is very spacious and the outside area a big plus since the weather was mostly good during our stay.
The down side is that although the location is excellent it is very noisy. They would have to put noise cancelling glass on the windows or let people know in advance as we could hear loud music until 3am.
Nevetheless we had a good time and it was comfortable.

Heart of the City
Great location, lovely place.
But the little things....at these prices would it be too much to ask for all-new toilet rolls? or paper towels? or a bolt on the door so you don't have to use a key to get OUT? And the TV signal was bad or non-existent, blamed on WiFi or the need for a reboot. Sorry, but at these prices, the media should not even be a question. The WiFi should work perfectly and so should the televisions. No excuse.

Very comfortable apartment
Check in process and getting keys was very easy. When we arrived there were some marks on the carpet, texted Alex to let him know about it. He sent over one of his housekeeping staff and the issue was resolved within hours. Unit is exactly as described and is super comfortable. We really enjoyed the location with many great restaurants and shops within walking distance.

Perfectly Located, Easiest Stay Ever
Exactly as advertised, property manager prompt, friendly and helpful. The welcome packet had EVERYTHING we needed as far as information about the home and the area. If you're a light sleeper you might have a hard time with the street noise- but the bedroom in the back doesn't have that issue and even if it did, I'd still recommend! I can't stress enough how perfect a location this is; between two tube stations, walking distance to M&S or Whole Foods if you're like us and want to start the day with a home cooked breakfast, and a 24 hour shop for drinks/snacks/essentials is just a few steps away. Black cabs were frequent just across the street at the W Hotel (which also serves as a great landmark for getting a cab back late or if you're laden with shopping bags and don't want to take the tube home!) Absolutely wonderful experience for us and will definitely rent again if we find ourselves back in London!

This apartment has the absolute best location for a week in London! And it has a rooftop deck!
Amazing apartment in the heart of London. The absolute best location! Steps to Leister Square, and just a few blocks to Trafalgar & Piccadilly! Near Soho & Chinatown restaurants and all the theaters! And it’s an amazing high-end apartment with its own rooftop deck! You will not find a better spot. Book it now!

The apartment was great! Plenty of space. The location was amazing so easy to get anywhere in London!

Location is everything
This is a great location if you're looking to stay centrally in London. The apartment is spacious and clean with all the basic amenities. A couple things to note: because you're in the middle of Soho/West End it's noisy all the time - even up high. If you're a light sleeper plan on earplugs. I feel like the property is better suited for either younger singles or business travelers vs families. While there are all the basics in the apartment it doesn't go much beyond that the way some other home properties do (ie, there are minimum cooking supplies, extras such as additional blankets, etc are sparse). That's not a knock against the property, just something to be aware of in terms of expectations of amenities. I don't think the property is well suited for very young children or older adults with mobility issues just due to the nature of stairs/design.
Being so central it's easy to get everywhere and the tube is only about a block away in either direction.
While we never met Alex or his team in person they were responsive and polite.

This place is beautiful and in a great location. There is plenty of room.
We loved where it was located and it had everything we needed. Please note that it has king size “bedrooms” not king size beds. But they are queen size. The outdoor space is wonderful. I wish we could have used it more but a bit wet while we were there. I would recommend this place to all of my friends. However please be aware there are steep steps inside the apartment to climb. The elevator comes to the main floor but not up to the kitchen. Not good for little ones maybe 3 and under. Great for adults though!!

Convenient and modern
We really enjoyed our stay here. The penthouse is conveniently located to two major underground lines in the heart of London. The place is clean and modern and bright. The owners are very responsive, friendly and helpful and even sent a handyman out late at night when we had a brief problem with the water heater that was fixed immediately. There is a bit of noise on the street below outside but the place itself is tranquil and a nice oasis. The three bedrooms on the first level and common areas above makes the place great for small groups or families.
