Great facilities and great location

Most things were really good, a great number of cooking facilities, comfortable rooms, large hangout spaces

Our only issue was having one singular shower between the private rooms which could get a bit hectic!

It was good for a shorter stay, a bit expensive though

Good sized rooms, and good location, my room had a little balcony too which was nice

The kitchen wasn’t always clean, the only toilets was the one en-suite to a 10 bed room unless reception was open but then had to head out down to there. Caused a bit of chaos in mornings and evenings

Great hostel located in the heart of Byron Bay

Brilliant location in Byron Bay, basically in the heart of the town and minutes away from all the bars, cafes and restaurants. Also not far from the lighthouse walk, and a five minute stroll to the beach. The ten bed dorms are a really good size, as are the bathroom areas, with good showers. The hostel is clean, with good facilities and lots of to do (pool, table tennis, swimming, etc). There is a kitchen and luggage room, although I didn't use these. Towels can be hired for a small deposit. The Rocks next door is also a nice cafe/bar, offering decent breakfast and evening meals.

The bathrooms could be a little cleaner, although that largely depends on your roommates rather than being a fault of the hostel's. There are no privacy curtains on the bed, and the lockers aren't big enough to hold a bag, only personal items.

Good price/quality/location in Byron Bay

Although more of a party hostel (I don't know that anything else exists in Australia), they do keep noise to a minimum after 10pm and I didn't have a problem to sleep. The room was quite clean and I found the beds quite comfortable. Outlets near every bed and lockers inside the rooms for convenience, and I was grateful for the present yet not freezing A/C on at night. It was a cute hotel, with lots of places to hang out and a nice bar. Plus, some free activities (I was grateful for free Friday morning yoga). I would def recommend for price/quality.

There could have been a bit more space in the rooms, and one bathroom for 10 people isn't enough (it was nice to have a bathroom in the room, but I did need to make use of the bathroom down the hall and at reception a few times). The kitchen wasn't as clean as it could have been--and that's probably on other guests but also on management.

Good location but stay elsewhere

It was in a good location. The dorms were spacious. Nice balcony. Strong air con.

We booked all 8 beds in an 8 bed dorm. When we got to the room, we soon found out that there was a semi private room attached to ours that could only be accessed by going through our room. The dorm is advertised as having a private bathroom which is untrue as you have to share with the semi private room. The fact you have to share should be clearly mentioned when booking because we 100% would not have booked it if we knew. When I spoke to the receptionist, she showed no understanding to our frustration and told us it was 'tricky' because we had booked through booking.com and not directly on the site. The staff came in for 'house keeping' while we were still asleep [we were sleeping later than usual] but they had their speaker blaring music and propped it up against our door and left for 5 minutes. The rooms are extremely bright.

Comfortable private room for a good price in the heart of Byron Bay.

Great location in the heart of Byron Bay, the hostel has good facilities. The room is exactly as described, a private room off the dorm room which you access by walking through the dorm.

The shared bathroom is shared between 10 people if the dorm is full, so there was a bit of a wait to use the bathroom in the morning. I think there are more showers somewhere else if you are in a rush.

Best choice in Byron

We had a problem when we arrived but they solved and made us feel confortable, we really appreciate that! The place looks always clean and tidy considering how big it's. The kitchen is spacious and also the room! That was my second time there and I'll be back during my next visit to Byron!

Great hostel especially the dog and main manger !

Great private room. Very impressed with the facilities. We loved the main manager and his dog !!

Most of the staff weren’t welcoming especially the night manger. But the main manager was very very nice . We loved Bailey.

Very good

It was clean and close to everything, from the beach, shops and bus station. Little noisy, but nothing unreasonable when booking a hostel. It was a great place to stay!

The keys for the doors where just a tad niggly. Either had to download an app so you can use your phone as a key, or you have to type in a 6 -8 digit code to get in your to the door. I sound like a boomer complaining about technology, but a good old-fashioned key card to get into the room would have been 100 per cent faster.

Brill location in Byron Bay

Really great location and social dinners were a great way to meet people as a solo traveller. Staff were super friendly and the kitchen was nice and big for at least 10 people to cook.

Beds aren't the most comfy but they do the job.

I had a awesome overnight stay at Aquarius Backpackers resort. First thing Location is perfect in the town centre and 1 min walk to the best beach . Free dinner and it was yum. Third thing Karaoke was banging heaps of fun with all the travellers. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here good size dorm and Value for money. Free Carparks too. 👍

Good place I guess, not for me

Beds had power points next to them and the kitchen was good.

Bathroom I'm the dorm, the door did not lock and I always had to wait to use it. No communal space other than the bar, I had to wear shoes to play pool and go to the beer garden.

Big spacious rooms with a beautiful garden and great, free dinner!

Two of the staff who worked outside, I think they were electricians, were very rude to me. I asked them a question when they angrily replied that I need to ask the reception, not them. “Can’t you see that we’re busy?”. They were friends, one of who was named Tony and the other man was around 60+ years.

We booked a dorm for 18-35 year olds, but there was 2 women who were clearly OAPs in our room. The room was also not clean.
