The cabin is beautiful. All of the beds listed were correct from the description on the Hopper app. Very pleased with that!Provided 3 bathrooms as we were told. Some of the issues we had were:WiFi kept going in & out. We rented another cabin a mile away and never had an issue with this. The landlord when contacted suggested we used the landline for communication which is ABSURD in 2024. Without WiFi there isn’t any TV or anything. Eventually we resolved this but it was a continued issue.

This is the second time my family has rented this home. It has all the things you would want for a cozy getaway. The only downside to the property is that there is no cell phone reception, and the Wi-Fi is very spotty.
We came up on the tail end of a winter storm, and had trouble getting up the road because of the ice, even with chains, and were not able to make any calls.
Other than that, however, the house is awesome, the location is incredible with a hiking trail right out your front door, and Joel was very responsive to my emails.

Let me start off with the positives. The location is amazing and the property has a lot of potential. As for everything else, there is improvement needed. When we arrived we immediately realized the property had not been cleaned at all. All beds and rooms were a mess and dirty dishes left. We immediately contacted the host and had one reply that said something along the lines that we weren’t expected that day (although we paid in full starting that day). We further tried to communicate with him to let him know about other problems like broken items in the house and he didn’t respond. A few hours later we are enjoying family time in the living room when all of a sudden 3 people enter our door with a key and are standing in our living room…at that point we are all confused and they finally identify themselves as the owners and they are there to clean?!? We were so confused and let them know about all our concerns like the bed being broken so they go upstairs without asking and go LAY on the bed with all our items in the room..it felt like an episode of Twilight at this moment and we couldn’t believe what was going on. When they finally go back downstairs a women by the name of Gail continues to apologize and tell us the cleaning lady had quit on her and that is why the place was a mess. She promised to give us back our cleaning fee but yet we have heard no further communication from them after they left. Multiple texts/emails and no one has responded back..

Horrible experience! Broken bed, leaky kitchen sink, wholes in walls, and to top it off rats in the bedrooms.

Didn’t receive check in instructions day of. I had to call in to get it. The home needs to be cleaned up. There is spider webs all over.

Cabin was very deceiving from photos.
The cabin was not clean whatsoever. There was ants in multiple areas, spider webs and spider throughout the cabin, the ceiling fan was caked with dust, the beddings were stained as if they weren’t washed, and there was rat droppings in the closet where the kitchen was located and in the fold out mattress in the living room! I wanted to leave this place, but I’m we all traveled about 3 hours. There was two empty propane tanks, so we couldn’t BQQ all the meat we brought. We ended up venturing out to Pyramid lake to do so. I contacted Joel about the empty tanks with the help of a nice gentleman from the bakery who let me use his cellphone because we had no service. He said he would get someone on it and that never happened. We didn’t see all the disgusting rat droppings, spider webs, spiders etc until later at night and through out the weekend. The outdoor patio was not clean nor the BBQ pit. As if we could use it with empty tanks. I would not stay at this place ever again. And they have the nerve to leave instructions to wipe counters, sweep floors and leave towels in the bathtub! We should be paid the cleaning fee, not the supposedly cleaners. Also, the passes left for us to enter the pool are old, according to staff and there was not enough passes to accommodate all of my family. One thing the uncleanliness of the cabin and the hospitality can take away is the nice people of pine mountain club, the pool, golf course restaurants, fern lake, and the beautiful scenery of the mountains. We’ve stayed in Pine Mountain Club before and know that there are clean cabins and generous hospitality who actually check the status of their cabin.

Needs few small repairs
Great location and a nice tree house. The only complaint is that there are many small things in the house that need repair.

Hidden gem in the woods
This cabin was perfect for our size group and interest. We had 7 people total and all of us were able to have our own beds. The main area is a little cozy for that many people, but we made it work. We loved the cabin, and the area was beautiful, but there were some minor issues. The first thing was getting to the actual cabin. We were driving in at night and was not aware that it had snowed a couple days before our arrival. As we got to the last 3 miles there were signs everywhere stating chains were required. We did not have chains and there are no stores nearby that are open in the evening. Thankfully we chose to see how far we could go and thankfully the roads were all cleared out, but the driveway was not. We were not able to park in the long driveway when we arrived and had to carry all our stuff up a short distance, but it was cold and slippery. It was a little difficult to see the lockbox as the lights were out and the box is a little old, so the buttons weren't working at first. Another thing that I wish we would have known is that there is a beautiful hiking path right across the street and many people park right in front of the cabin and walk across the property as well. We were quite surprised to have random people walking up the hill next to the cabin (I don't believe it's a trail, but many people walked up it anyways.) The surrounding mountains and forest are breathtaking there.
We did have a fluke situation happen and the property manager tried his best to resolve it. The heater went out in the cabin, and he couldn't get a repair guy out during our stay to fix it. He tried his best and helped us with other suggestions to resolve the matter. He was very accommodating and tried different avenues to rectify the situation which was out of his hands. The other concern to be aware of, is that you will have no phone service at the cabin and all though there is wi-fi, there were huge delays in communication with the property manager. Not because of him, (he was great) just a slow connection. It states there is a land line phone in the cabin, but we looked everywhere and could not find one.
Even with the issues that I mentioned, we would stay there again. We celebrated my daughter's birthday, and she absolutely loved the place! I am grateful that the adults had their own rooms and bathrooms. We all enjoyed the hike and gorgeous waterfall not far from the cabin front door.

Almost perfect
We rented this property for Labor Day weekend, we had a great hike right across the street, the pool was only a short drive away, but enjoyable. 6 children stayed in the basement my husband and I stayed in the loft and my friend and her 5yr old in the bedroom by the kitchen. We were only 10 so we had plenty of sleeping room we didn’t even use the sofa bed . The only complaint was that the propane tank attachment had a leak and after emailing the contact we had no response. So we could not BBQ 😐 we ended up cooking our meats in the oven. The oven is great 👍 the kids loved playing around the property and looking for cool sticks. I don’t know how old this property is but it need minor work around the house. But it was not inconvenient. The jacuzzi… let’s just say your lucky if one person fits. We didn’t even turn it on. Over all we would stay there again, even if the grill doesn’t work.

Cleanliness and Time
Over all it was great. Location was beautiful and quite. The only thing that I would complain about Was the cleanliness of the cabin. Before checking in, I had reached out to the owner requesting an early check in and it was approved. However, the day of check in, the cabin was not cleaned. My family and I arrived at the cabin around 2:07 pm and began settling it. At 4:06 pm the cleaning crew arrived to the cabin and stated the following; “you guys are early”. I was in total shock. Not only, was early check in requested and approved, normal check in time as described via the website is 4:00 pm. I was at a loss for words, I felt like correcting the young lady’s but just held my tongue. Nonetheless my family and I did have a good time.

Great location-highly recommend
We loved our stay here. Property manager was very nice and responsive. Knocked off one star for safety as there were no flashlights or emergency lights easily accessible when the power went out. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you

Can’t wait to return to this beautiful Treehouse!
We were so happy to return to this special place. If you’re looking for a tranquil getaway that accommodates many people, this is it! It’s been years since we’ve stayed here and it was better than I remembered. I can see that the owners have listened to some of the past reviews and made an effort to replace old furniture and keep the cobwebs away, not an easy task in the mountains! It was clean and beautiful and had everything we needed to play, cook, sleep, hike, relax and enjoy time together with friends and family.

Dirty and some broken furniture
The kitchen was dirty upon arrival. There were coffee grinds left in the coffee maker from what we assume was the last party to stay at the cabin. The pots and pans were dirty and the fridge was grimy and the handle was sticky. We had to clean before use, which is annoying but not a deal breaker. We did pay a cleaning fee so I’m surprised that it was in such a condition before we got there.
Also, several dining chairs were wobbly and broken - lower rungs that wouldn’t stay attached and one super wobbly chairs. Not safe to have in the cabin. They should really be removed.
It was also pretty dusty. The place really needs a good, thorough deep clean of the whole house, including window sills, blinds, couches, and the carpets. Multiple people in our party had problems with breathing because of the amount of dust.
It’s a great location, the house has great character and has a great flow. It butts right up to a trail to a waterfall, which is pretty cool. We definitely enjoyed the different levels and the comfy sleeping arrangements. Our group stayed in this particular cabin a few years ago and this was our second trip up and we were pretty surprised that the place wasn’t in the same condition as last time. We really enjoy this place and would love to return again if it was cleaner and we didn’t feel like we were sitting on chairs that were going to collapse.

Great place to get away from the daily grind.
We planned a trip to Universal Studios with our kids. Knowing we were only planning on one day at the park, we wanted a place to stay that was in decent enough distance, yet would get us out of the city and provide things to do in nature and as a family. This place was perfect for all of that. We loved the pool, hiking trails, and easy drive to various lakes. We definitely hope to stay again.

Not a clean space for family with kids
Has lots of spiders and should expect spider bites. This place really needs a deep cleaning to be hygiene and good for kids. The host was hospitable, accessible and responsive.

beautiful location and very nice place
We stayed at this cabin for our family reunion. The house is a "Tree-house", surrounded by nature. It is at the end of a peaceful, beautiful street. There are some beautiful trails in the area. We really enjoyed our stay, hiking, going up on the mountains and star-gazing. The host, Joel Dorfman, was very gracious. Responded quickly to some of my questions. I feel that the host has tried to do everything to make our stay pleasant. I will definitely recommend this place to all of my friends.

Beautiful treehouse!
We enjoyed our time in the tree house. Really cool walking trails close. Nice living room area with a fireplace. Only negative was it needed a deep cleaning done. Cobwebs and spiders seemed to be everywhere. Thanks!

The house has everything we needed to feel at home. It's dated but very charming. We loved the seclusion and the silence of the setting and the close proximity to the waterfall hike. I expect we will be back.

Enjoyed "The Tree House " cabin ~
Had such a great time at the tree house cabin ! This was my first time ever renting a get-away like this. The process was very easy. The cabin was everything they said it would be. The host, Joel, did have to call me with the correct wifi password, as it was incorrect on the instructions from the rental company. My grandbabies came up and got to enjoy a very light dusting of snow. Though it was just a small amount, they loved it ! They'd never been to the snow before. I will be renting this cabin again. Such fun ! Thankx :-)

Take a lamp!!
The location and the cabin itself was breathtaking. The cabin was beautiful, we just happened to have our stay after a major storm which knocked electricity out to the whole area. We did our best to adapt, and made much use of the fireplace. the nearest supply store is a good drive away. While everything was manageable during the day time; our kids had a blast playing in the snow; the nights were pretty tough. There was plenty of hot water, which compensated for the lack of power. We wanted an adventure and we got it and then some.

Cozy welcoming cabin fully equipped had everything we needed
We all loved it and can't wait to come back. The fact that the waterfall was so close to us was amazing. The cabin was clean and beautiful. My girls had so much fun playing in the snow the down stairs room was a nice place to get away and watch tv while others played and dine in the main floor. It was nice to know there was a person of contact like 5 minutes away if we needed anything or had questions. Owner answered our call right away wasn't hard to get a hold of and it was nice that they called and checked on us. I loved that it was the last house in the cul-de-sac so it was pretty private and nice felt like we had the street to ourselves. It was worth every dollar great for family's with kids and just to get away we were 14 and I think we had plenty of space we added the extension to the table to make it bigger for dinner. If your looking for a place to get away and enjoy nature this is the cabin for you!

the house is way too small for a party of 10
The house is too old, kitchen really tiny, no place to seat really, for 10 people the leaving room was way too crowded. Beds are extremely uncomfortable. None of the windows in the house have blinds or curtains, so if you are trying to sleep in , its just impossible with the light hitting inside. Spider webs everywhere. Will not come back

Tree House Cabin Fun
As was our first trip last year 2016, our 2nd trip this year was eventful and fun. Great place to stay with family and friends. May suggest gas stove and possible generator.
Power outage from a landslide cut our trip short but we are definitely looking forward to coming back to the Treehouse Cabin soon. Great space, great layout, love all the trees and windows. Plenty of room throughout the cabin. My favorite spot is the upstairs loft with nook area to sit and watch the wind blow ,the snow , the rain and the trees out the very large window. May I suggest redoing the chimney, smoke occasionally blows back into the cabin living space and requires airing out the cabin. All in all, we enjoyed staying here and look forward to coming back soon. The owner was very responsive and helpful.Thank you Mr. Asher for your hospitality and generosity.
