Blue Door Farm is a great house, we loved the little pub in the basement. Everything you need to let your family enjoy quaint, quiet, quality time together. Don't miss Taylor Farms if you have little ones or Mike and Tammy's fried chicken any time or the donuts on Sunday, maple are the best.

This was an amazing property. The beauty of it made for a truly wonderful weekend experience!
The initial booking was smooth and effortless. Communication with the host was stellar from start to finish! When we arrived two of the caretakers were on site to greet us. They thanked us for choosing to stay, offered to help with getting settled, and gave us vital advice on preventing bobcats and bears from being attracted. hey even left some farm fresh eggs for us!
Our first stop on our setup tour (we arrived a day before the remaining guests) was the cottage. It was absolutely beautiful and my opinion, the online description does not do it justice.
The main house was a dream. The layout was enchanting, with great flow and perfect light and a welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were stunning and comfortable. The would be any home cooks ideal place to create amazing meals. Our favorite places were the sunroom and the tavern. This was an absolutely perfect vacation. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. This is definitely a property that far outshines its advertisements.

The house is very spacious and setup like a bed and breakfast

Pros:
a bunch of relatively equal bedrooms
pretty well equipped kitchen
very good value rate rental
super close to bromley
Cons:
everything was a little run down, particularly the cottage bedrooms and the tavern room, which was still fun but a little dingy. Nothing crazy but some signs of moisture here and there, maybe a knob falls off the stove, just a little banged up.
still an incredible price considering how many people it holds.

We enjoyed a snowy, holiday family reunion at this beautiful home. Plenty of room for our group of 20 to spread out inside. Outside the firepit gave us many hours to sit and enjoy being warmed by the fire. We had a few issues arise with the home but the owners were VERY responsive and it posed no problem for our holiday enjoyment. We will definitely come back!

I couldn’t be happier with our stay at Blue Door Farm and Cottage! They truly want you to just relax and enjoy your time with loved ones. The house has everything you need it’s comfortable, cozy, with tons of activities from outdoor activities(trails behind the house, rock wall, fire pit and a place to play a good family football game and we can’t forget the hot tub) to indoor (pool table, ping pong, chess, Jenga.) My family made tons of memories this weekend and can’t wait to stay again!

We had a blast and the house was perfect for our stay! We had 3 families and got in some great skiing at Bromley just minutes down the road. We especially liked the bar downstairs and spent most of our time in that room Or beautiful sun porch!

Awesome getaway with family and friends. Something for everyone from ages 4-70. Enjoyed the bar and game room, hot tub, sun room and trails behind the house. Some skied at Stratton. Others never left the property. Bedrooms were great and lots of space to spread out. 👍👍

This house is perfect for a large group! We stayed at Blue Door Farm for our Annual Family Ski Trip. We were a group of 16, ages 1-76, and this house had something for everyone. Our 20-year-olds loved the bar area. The house had a couple of nice sitting rooms and a good sized kitchen making it easy for us all to be together BUT also providing separate spaces. The house had every kitchen utensil, pot, pan, we needed plus amazing stoves and appliances. We ate just about every meal there, and the well-equipped Kitchen made it very easy to prepare meals for a group our size. The yard was huge, and the house has a large firepit and hot tub area. It was wonderful that we could bring our dog, who especially enjoyed the outside space. Dan is a great host and was very fast with their responses to our questions. I highly recommend this rental and the comments were unanimous from my family were that they would love to go back to this house next year.

Our group of nine women fit more than comfortably into this large comfortable home. The setting is absolutely picturesque. The rooms are large, and the bedrooms have attached bathrooms, making everybody most comfortable with their accommodations. The kitchen is large and accommodated our group perfectly. It is very well appointed having everything we needed to dine in. We enjoyed the large fire pit nightly and the hot tub regularly. Great location just outside of Manchester.

This property is a great choice. First of all, the check in process was extremely easy and quick, which was amazing since it was a bit late when we arrived and had no energy to deal with check in issues, so this was a super plus. Also, the host was so helpful and quick to answer my husband a couple questions we had and it made everything run even smoothly. Now going into the actual house, it was just absolutely the best! Each room has a bathroom with a good size if not huge clean bathtubs, and super comfortable mattresses and sheets, the kitchen had everything we needed, we had a super delicious meal and it was an amazing time spent with my family… the basement had a pool table, fire place where we made s’mores 🤤 bar, tv, and a half bath, comfy couches and chairs in spacious room which was awesome for our kids to play in while we also had fun… also, about kids, we found it very thoughtful of Dan to leave highchairs and playpacks for babies, our little girl thanks him :)
The hot tub also gave us a good time outside while it was a lil chilly 🔥😆 well, we had a stay better than we could’ve thought, and we’re so thankful for every detail that made our time spent there just unforgettable! Hope to comeback soon:)

Perfect fall vacation! We were a group of three couples, all with young children. This home made for a comfortable and convenient spot for all! We loved the back yard and fire pit most of all! Wonderful location

Blue Door Farm is a one of a kind rental. It is a beautiful property with lots of space outdoors and indoors. We had a family reunion week with 15 people from three generations. There was plenty of room. The bedrooms are comfortable, each with its own bathroom. There are plenty of common area spaces to accommodate everyone. Being there in the summer (early August) we spent a great deal of time outdoors on the lawn, by the fire pit, in the hot tub and pool, and eating our meals at the extended picnic table on the patio. The chef's kitchen was well utilized during our week. Dan is a wonderful host. We highly recommend this property for large groups.

Roomy house, nestled in the woods
The house was the perfect size for a girls weekend. We loved the sunroom and enjoyed relaxing in the backyard. If you want to disconnect, it is a great spot. If you are looking to go out, it is a bit far from that.

Very nice house, perfect for a large group. The lamp under the main dinner table was broken, along with one of the two ovens, and the cooking materials were dirty. However, the pros outweigh those minor cons; I would still recommend it!

We rented this amazing home on short notice to put together a small family reunion (about 12 people) and we could not have asked for a more special and serene place to host the weekend getaway. To say the house is charming is an understatement. It has incredible character, decor, amenities, and service. It was very easy to communicate with Dan and the team and we were really able to enjoy all elements of the house. There was a slight hiccup with the stove not working and the hot tub needing to be repaired, but they resolved the issue on the first day.
My family thoroughly enjoyed the house and kept telling me what a find it was. We've already decided we want to come back next year!

We had a fantastic experience at the Blue Door Farm. Dan was a responsive host who was there to assist and answer questions. The property is beautiful and spacious. The pool, hot tub, and outdoor space provided great space for hanging out, and the bar in the basement is a very cool addition. The location is great; it's a 5-minute drive to town in Londonderry where you can pick up supplies, and it's a short drive to Jamaica State park (Go to Hamilton Falls, you won't be disappointed!).

Great ski getaway
Weekend with friends - 6 families. The house was incredible... everything we needed and more! Very well stocked. Everything we needed to cook and grill. A large outside firepit, hot tub and basement tavern kept everyone entertained each night. Host communication was top notch and he obviously cared that we had everything we needed. A++! Stratton was only a short drive away and Bromley is only a few minutes away for those who ski. We'll be back!

We traveled with a portion of our growing homeschool group and Daniel’s place was a joy to host all of the kids. Plenty of space for quiet time and full of all the amenities that traveling with children requires. Looking forward to our next stay at Blue Door Farm

Great Weekend Getaway
We had an amazing time at Blue Door Farm. The house was great for a group - we spent most of our time at the house in the kitchen, in the tavern playing games and watching football, and in the hot tub. There was plenty of space for our group to be comfortable. It was really nice to have a bedroom and separate bathroom for every couple. The only issue all weekend is the heating in the house. In such a big house, it's really difficult to regulate the temperature when there are so few thermostats, especially in the bedrooms on the 3rd floor. It was either 90 degrees in the bedrooms, or freezing cold in the kitchen. There is also very little insulation in some areas, so it was pretty drafty at times. It didn't take away from our experience, just feedback. The property is absolutely gorgeous, I would love to come back in the summer too! Thank you!

Awesome Stay!
For starters, the pictures don't do it justice - this place is HUGE! Layout of the house is super cool, lots of nice places to sit and mingle. The tavern was our go-to spot though, really felt like we were in some sort of exclusive bar! Would highly recommend 👍

Spacious, charming, ideal
We loved our stay here, from playing late night games in the tavern to cooking up full brunches in the well equipped kitchen. The spa bath was wonderful, my sister said the hot tub was a perfect temperature, and the sun room was a great spot for coffees and a newspaper or novel (or yoga, which I did watching yellow leaves flutter down!). The owners were responsive to every inquiry, and gave great instructions and a short list of rules compared to other vacation rentals I've enjoyed. My mother has trouble with stairs but was able to slowly navigate from the tavern floor to the main floor and have plenty of space there and time with us. There was just the right amount of quirk to feeling charming and tasteful without feeling like things were too neutral or too complicated. Lots of windows and doors which also helped when I set off the very effective smoke detector making some pancakes (oops!). My family wanted to - but didn't - steal some of the pans. The location was great for exploring the cheese shops, natural beauty and arts of Vermont as well via Manchester, Woodstock, Weston and Plymouth. We wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed the house more. It's even more than the photos!

Incredible house with great amenities in a perfect location
We loved every second of our stay at this property. A group of us stayed for a long weekend and also rented the cottage on site. We didn’t need to leave the house once. Daniel was super accommodating and easy to communicate with. The house is amazing inside and out. Everything you could imagine and then some. The kitchen was incredible. Bathrooms in every bedroom, huge basement area and plenty of outdoor space with trails right out back. Pictures don’t do it justice. Would definitely stay again.

Great home base for Vermont vacation
We were 3 couples visiting Southern Vermont and had a wonderful time. The Blue Door Farm was a great location and enabled us to visit Manchester, Woodstock, Echo Lake, and Quechee, as well as hike many trails. We especially enjoyed Bromley mountain and the West River Trail. Daniel was very responsive via calls or texts and we especially enjoyed the fire pit and the wood that was stacked for us. The house has several gathering spaces, so it's great if you need to work or have different groups there.
