Welcome to Babylon Reef, a freshly renovated oceanfront villa, complete with a sundeck and private pool, situated directly on one of the best shallow snorkeling sites on the entire island. Protected by a coral reef, there are rarely any currents or waves to contend with so children can play in the shallows all day.
The ocean views are stunning the moment you walk through the front door. Natural light and scenic ocean views flood the entire living area through the sunroom's retractable glass doors, which can be opened to allow a breeze to flow through on days when air conditioning is unnecessary.
Cute Caribbean architecture and a modern open concept design lend a great “island feel†throughout.
A full kitchen complete with modern appliances overlooks the dining area with seating for 6. An outdoor dining table off the pool deck and under tall palm trees is also available. All cookware, glassware, cutlery, and flatware is provided.

Babylon Reef's private, well-landscaped lot includes a white picket fence, soft zoysia grass lawns, and a large sandy backyard around the pool. The owner provides a cornhole set on the beach complete with boards and bean bags plus 2 tandem kayaks and 1 child size kayak for exploring, beach hammocks for relaxing, and an outdoor shower with hot and cold running water.
With an empty lot on each side, Babylon Reef is a private and secluded retreat. The beach can be both sandy and pebbly depending on the time of year, therefore, we advise guests to bring pool shoes to avoid foot injuries.
Two large resorts with water sports, manicured sandy beaches, and oceanfront bars and restaurants are just a short 10-minute drive east.

This house is truly a gem! If you want a truly quiet, spa like, restful place to stay on the island, this is it. From the very moment you step in you will be swept away with the view from large picture windows of your back yard to the pool and gorgeous aqua blue ocean. Your mouth will drop! It’s almost too good to be true! I don’t think the pictures online quite do this place justice. My family of 5 and I had the most magical time here with the house and bedrooms well appointed and comfortable. Lots of books to choose from- even children’s books, fun games and puzzles, closet filled with ocean gear, beach chairs, life preservers, two bikes, and some snorkel gear. Kitchen has most everything you need to make great meals, even a Ninja blender. Large dining table, and good sized couch to spread out on. The owner was super accommodating to our requests since we were staying on island longer and needed a later checkout- very quick to respond and communicate. Lovely person.
Pool and pool deck feel like you’ve stepped into a boutique hotel spa-like space. Fantastic outdoor chaise loungers, some under shade of palms, grill and outdoor table and chairs made our stay super exciting and comfortable. Kids loved the beach- so many shells and treasures wash up on beach. We had the beach entirely to ourselves during our 9 night stay. Strong WiFi - reaches almost to beach. Gated and fenced yard to add to privacy and sense of security. Will come back!

Babylon Reef was everything we were looking for in a Caribbean house. The location was fantastic and both kids exclaimed it was the best house we have ever stayed in. Usually we visit a different beach every day, but we had so much to do near the house we ended up hanging around the house for 3 of the days. Thank you so much for the hospitality, the house was more than equipped for a comfortable stay and the updated bathrooms were a nice surprise. Thanks again!

Babylon Reef was the best appointed, best located, and hardest to leave VRBO home we have stayed in. The views are stunning, the pool is clean and refreshing, and the snorkeling you can do right off your beach is spectacular. We were often the only people we could see on the beach and in the ocean. For my family if 6, it was a vacation we will never forget.
The house has EVERYTHING! Games, books, kayaks, snorkeling equipment, a grill, pool toys, bikes for kids, greatly appointed kitchen, washer and dryer, along with all cleaning supplies. Our only slight complaint would be the air conditioning settings. 78 degrees is a bit hotter than we would keep it, but with ceiling fans, it was just fine. We spent evenings playing games and watching Disney+. The best family time we have had with our kids in a long time - ages 15,13,11, and 6.
The north side of island was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet and slow. You are limited on restaurants and you will need to rent a vehicle for your stay here. This was well worth it however. We would drive for miles and only pass beautiful beaches and a few chickens before we would see another car. We felt like we had our own personal island. We cooked breakfasts and lunches and traveled out for dinner. We highly recommend Tukka and Kaibo. Kaibo for coffee in the morning was the best if you have Starbucks kids.
I hate giving such a glowing review because we’d love to keep Babylon Reef a secret. We will be back.

Overall, Babylon Reef is an amazing property. Set on the north side of the island, it is a perfect place to enjoy peace and quiet while taking in spectacular ocean views. My family and I spent 10 tens at Babylon Reef. The home is well equipped and functional. We enjoy cooking, the cookware (pots, pans, skillets) are in need of updating, same for glass ware (drinking glasses, cups). The outside grill was clean and fully functional, enjoyed using it several times while we were there. The house was very clean, and in excellent shape when we arrived. Light interior painting could give a fresher look, specific to the great room ceiling. Fully functional air conditioning and several ceiling fans throughout. You will never be hot. Brand new washing machine. Dryer unit fully functional. We used both units several times. We rate the house 5 stars. The amazing views every morning out of the master bedroom and off the pool deck makes the house a first-class experience. Pool was fantastic, a highlight for all of us!! Our family loved the house and all it had to offer; we would certainly stay at Babylon Reef again. Thanks for the great communication by Ola, the on prem property manager. Don't miss out on this one.

Our family of 4 had the most enjoyable stay at Babylon Reef. The house is set on a beautiful piece of property and waking up each day to the view was like being in paradise! This is a place to relax, lay by a pool, snorkel, cook good meals, and play games. This house is in a non touristy area which is what we preferred but with a 30-45 minute drive we could do any excursion we’d like and then return to the peace of Babylon Reef! Very close to Rum Point where you can get on an excursion to Sting Ray City which was a favorite activity for our family.

Babylon Reef proved to be the perfect spot for a quiet getaway: a beautiful and well appointed villa with plenty of privacy, a beach in the backyard and an inviting pool to enjoy a cooling dip. We easily made ourselves at home on the first day, and only left the property a few times to enjoy local eateries and a visit to Rum Point. The weather provided plentiful sunshine, with a few warm thunderstorms tossed in for variety. The property management company was responsive to the only one (and very minor) issue we had which was quickly remedied. This is one of those vacation homes we know we will return to - leaving after close to two weeks was not easy!

This house checked all the boxes for us! It was private and secluded, ample space, clean and modern and had a lot for the kids to do. There was swimming, kayaking, SUP, bean bag toss, and lots of games/puzzles/toys. Ola was a pleasure to work with. We would stay here again! The only drawback is the beach behind the property is pretty small (not sure if it's due to the recent hurricane or not?).

My family enjoyed all of it. The location, the house, the amenities. We did not have to rent anything. The house had it all. Kayaks, paddle boards, games, books, outdoor Bose speaker...everything. We would return. One suggestion, I think the picture of the beach area needs to be updated as there is no sandy beach area as the picture shows. We were all adults, so this wasn't a problem. But if you have small children it might be. We loved the secluded location. Many days, we were the only ones on the ocean. Although secluded, we were still a short drive from the grocery store and several restaurants. Loved it!

My family and I absolutely loved everything about the villa. It was pristine lovely location the people were great grand cayman as always still one of the safest and cleanest places to visit in the Caribbean. I would recommend this to everyone who wants to get away and catch some sun if your looking for parties and and bar hopping then find something closer to seven mile beach. This home is ideal for a family of 4-5 people or 2 couples (though 3 could work). The house was very clean, and a great layout. The kitchen is great, with all the pots/pans and utensils needed. If stop at the grocery story on your way (Hurleys!) be sure to buy small bottles of condiments and oils, and maybe bring a few of your favorite spices. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The best part of the home is the pool, deck and inside patio area, just open the doors, link the Bose speaker to your favorite music and sit back and relax!Everyday we put the pool to good use, BBQ'd a couple of times, and even enjoyed the hammock. The beach area was pretty full of seaweed (which is commented on in other reviews) but at low tide we still enjoyed walks along the shore and found many beautiful shells. Stunning villa, beautifully located
We had a fabulous, relaxing week at Babylon Reef - just wish it could have been longer!
The villa was spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished and fully equipped.
We enjoyed spending time in and beside the lovely pool, as well as snorkelling and scuba diving in the ocean.
The location was perfect - quiet, secluded and private, but handy for local restaurants and only about 40 mins drive from George Town and Seven Mile Beach.
We'd love to return some day.

A Quiet, Relaxing Retreat
Babylon Reef is one of those homes you don't want to write a review of because you don't want anyone to know about it! It was everything we hoped it would be - quiet, no neighbors, beautiful pool, great snorkeling right out front, kayaks on the premises, a well appointed house - what more can I say. Will definitely return unless too many others find out about this gem and I can't get a booking!

Perfect Praceful Island Paradise
Everything was perfect for our family of 4! Kids are 10&12 and we had plenty of room for our 9 day stay. The house is lovely with beautiful with a beach decor and nice furniture. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and had everything we needed to cook in several meals. It is a very peaceful & quite location. Thank you for the kayaks, as we enjoyed kayaking in the calm waters. The snorkeling right off the beach was great & we saw a young stingray, cuttlefish, long spiny sea urchins & more. At night we played games, watched movies on Apple TV & Netflix. The foosball table was also lots of fun. If we make it back to Grand Cayman this would be our first choice. Thank you for providing such a wonderful vacation home!

Awesome Get-Away Retreat
If you are looking to peace and quite this is the place. Beautiful view, wonderful pool, amenities and yet close to many fun bars and great restaurants. Only minor issue was hot water was at times hard to get in showers however, the out door shower had plenty.
