Savour aperitives by the fire, prepare classic Italian feasts in the stunning kitchen, and join each other around the 24-person dining table beneath the gorgeous chandelier. After dinner, repair to the billiard room for a game of pool and a fine drink from the deluxe bar. In the morning, refresh your body in the private spa, with sauna, heated pool with jets, a relaxing senses shower and a beautiful view over the antique wine barrels.
The villa features 4 bedrooms in its main floor—three with double size beds, one with two twins—all with closets and ensuite bathrooms of travertine marble. The upper floor has 8 additional bedrooms—6 with double bed, two with two twins that can be putted together to make double sized beds—along with its own living area and 8 bathrooms.
Your location offers a supreme balance of seclusion and convenience. You're just 20 minutes from the enchanting medieval town of Lucca, while Florence, Siena, Pisa, and San Gimignano and Cinque Terre are all between 35 mins and 60 mins driving—allowing for fantastic daytrips before returning to this private paradise.

Our extended family of 22, including an infant and two toddlers, stayed in this beautiful, well appointed villa in the hills above Lucca during the Christmas holiday. The villa was perfect for multiple couples / families as there were clusters of rooms with a common area located throughout the two story villa which allowed for privacy. Every room had its own bathroom as well. The home and rooms were beautifully decorated. The views and grounds were spectacular. The host and owner were extremely responsive to our questions and needs throughout our stay. The lovely historic town of Lucca was a short drive away. There were markets, restaurants and wineries near the villa as well. The indoor pool and sauna were well used by our group. The host provided many recommendations including a cooking class by Tamara done at the villa — it was a great experience for the group! Also I highly recommend the wine tour and lunch at a nearby local organic winery and olive oil farm at Frattoria Colle Verde. I highly recommend this Villa.

This is the third time we’ve rented Villa Valgiano for our Gunnell Innovation culinary tour of Tuscany and we plan to return again. It’s the perfect villa for a large group. Stunning views in all directions, the outdoor pool and indoor spa are spectacular, incredible kitchen and dining areas and the lemon house is beautiful. Being there makes you feel like you’re living in a movie.
The cleaning service wasn’t this time. But other than that, everything was wonderful. Thank you again.

Our family of 22 including my 4 adult children, spouses and 12 grandchildren spent the most exciting time at Villa Valgiano for a week. The Villa was beautiful, the views boundless, the service unbelievable and the manager, Daniela Cetti was better than excellent helping us before, during and even after our week. It was delightful meeting the owner frequently. The chef we selected, was Tamara and she was superb along with other suggestions from
Daniela. The last evening will remain forever as a fitting conclusion with entertainment and dining in the lemon room. what more can you ask for.
One small recommendation-provide larger wastebaskets in the rooms. Beyond that - MAGNIFIQUE!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Valgiano. The villa is perfect for a big group of family looking to connect and spend quality time together. A highlight of our trip was having Chef Alice prepare unbelievably delicious meals. Alice and her team created two beautiful evenings for our family and we are so grateful to them. The amenities were amazing and we particularly loved the magical outdoor space and the lemon house. Every bedroom was so comfortable and clean. The villa manager Daniela was very kind, communicative, and accommodating. The villa is close to many charming Tuscan towns, so we spent the days exploring. Also, the restaurants and wineries near the villa are fantastic. It was an incredible and once-in-a-lifetime experience!

We loved the Villa. With 24 people together, it was very comfortable. The kitchen and huge dining table were fantastic for big family meals. We used a local chef, Antonella, for the most fantastic dinners. If we were to come again, we would hire her for 2 meals per day as we spent a lot of time getting groceries to serve 24 people and the store was 20 minutes away. The Villa’s age means the hot water didn’t seem to always work and the beds weren’t the most comfortable, but that did not bother us. Our only concern would be the worry of having the owner on the property most days. He was watching and would report things he didn’t like that we were doing such as moving the furniture to accommodate our needs or forgetting to put pool umbrellas down at night and then the house manager would email us during our stay to remind us of rules. That created a little unnecessary stress during our vacation. In spite of that, it was just fantastic and the perfect venue for our daughter’s wedding. The views are simply incredible! This Villa will always hold a special place in our hearts and we hope to come back one day. Would absolutely recommend this for a family reunion or wedding venue.

We spent 4 nights here over Thanksgiving. There was plenty room for our 11 adults, 4 teens, and 6 littles. There are 2 TV rooms not really shown in the photos, between those and the lovely large dining room we had lots of space to gather. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool - it was bigger than the photos made it look. We had a chef for each night, it made it so much easier than finding somewhere to take us all or try and cook together. The quality of service and the prices for what we got was excellent value. The estimate for the heat (pay by cash) was very close. Highly recommend.
Would be lovely if we could pay the heat on a card, but your estimate was very close so no real issue.

We embarked upon a trip of a life time for my entire family of eighteen individuals! The Villa Valgiano was more than we anticipated, very lovely and spacious as well. My family and I were very happy and pleased with the entire house!
The Villa Valgiano was like a dream come true for the entire family, because of Covid-19 we had a three year delay, which was more than worth the wait.
Our house host Ms. Chiara, was a blessing. She was extremely helpful and made our vacation trip wonderful, better in every way, thank you!!!
The Taylor Family,
We really enjoyed ourselves tremendously

This is our second time renting Villa Valgiano for the Gunnell Innovation Culinary Tours and the property is absolutely spectacular! It's perfect for the needs of our group. The location and views are stunning. The indoor spa and outdoor pool areas are lovely. The kitchen is modernized and big enough to host our cooking classes for 20 guests easily. The dining room inside the villa and the lemon house dining table are both perfect for our special dinners for guests. We look forward to being back again next season for another wonderful food and wine tour with our guests!

Magical stay in Tuscany the villa is full of character, and the views are like scenes from a movie. The house is large and was very comfortable for our group of 15. There is A/C is every room, and it really works. The kitchen is amazing, as well as the heated pool in the cellar. Our main contact, Chiara, was incredibly helpful throughout our stay.

Wonderful stay with our group of 18
We loved our stay at Villa Vallagiano. The property was as described and we were fortunate to have spectacular weather when we were there. The pool was wonderful outside. We did not make use of the spa room as it was not what we needed for our stay. The house was perfectly layed out for our group. We hired a private chef for the entire week of our stay and they were absolutely wonderful. It made our week so relaxing and enjoyable. This was a magical week for our family.

Definitely recommended.
The house is very nice, in a panoramic position. Photos are reflecting the Villa accurately. Lot of space for big groups, every room has its own bathroom. Nice amenities. Easy communication with the property, always available to help.

This is a holiday that we'll never forget
This Villa is gorgeous and a great time for everyone who stayed there. We all loved the pool and the large bedrooms. The large kitchen made cooking so simple. There was everything you would need there for a holiday. One of my favorite features is the separate outdoor dining area. It stayed cool all day and had a nice breeze going through most of the day. The table is also absolutely beautiful if you like wood working.

This was like a 5 stars luxury stay.
Thank you so much for the past two weeks, very relaxing and we wish we could have stayed for longer. The house was great and very practical, it had everything we needed. The views were spectacular especially at night. The pool is magnificent and very relaxing. Can’t wait to come back next year!

Stunning property with lots of great amenities!
This property was perfect for our large family. Everyone had their own bedroom and bath. The common areas were large enough for us all to dine and enjoy time all together.
The wine (stocked) was a great bonus as was the spa and indoor pool area.
One of my favorite spots was the outdoor dining room! Great views and protected from the elements we could all dine outside together with a view of the pool and the Tuscan valley.
This was one of my favorite places of all time!

A gorgeous countryside villa.
The villa was as beautiful as described, the pictures don’t lie! It overlooks an amazing winery, which we visited and it was a fantastic experience. The villa was a perfect place for our large group. The house manager was great about taking care of any questions or needs we had during our stay. We also had some of our meals prepared by the chef they suggested. Alice prepared some wonderful food for us. She even arranged for some live music for us on our last evening together. This is a MUST if you are a large group and want a countryside Tuscany experience.

Paradise in Lucca-Valgiano Village
We had such an amazing birthday celebration in this idyllic setting a sumptuous food prepared by local chef Alice, beautiful music by guitarist named Lucarelli and lovely pro-secco gifted by the helpful and friendly owner. We enjoyed Paolo Monti’s cooking class, a Puccini concert at San Giovanni Church and a wonderful tour of the Cinque Terre. Ob-viously not only is the villa a private paradise but the location is perfect. Our hosts were so helpful with informationfor all the activities. Thanks!

one of the most outstanding places I've visited
We could not have enjoyed ourselves more! Last week was a highlight in our lives. Swimming, playing, cooking, eating pizza — what a wonderful experience. Thanks for all you did to make us comfortable. Villa Valgiano is amazing and Sonia the best host. Thank you!

An amazing villa with fantastic views. It has everything needed for a perfect large group holiday.
I can't not fault the villa, it's even nicer than the photographs! The owner has thought of everything to ensure a perfect stay for large groups. The kitchen and two large dining tables are great. The outdoor Lemon house is brilliant, with its huge dining table, relaxed seating and cooking facilities. The 360° views of the quiet hills and vineyards are breathtaking.
The outdoor pool is great, but take plenty of bug spray. The indoor plunge pool was ok.
Finally, dispite turning down the AC in bedrooms durning the day, never using the Sauna and keeping lights off when rooms were not in use, we were surprised by the accessive electricity and gas cost. At the end of the seven day stay, we paid over 1000 euros, from the 2500 euro cash retainer. So be prepared.
I would highly recommend the villa, and i look forward to booking it again!

Nice Stay
Villa Villagio was the perfect size villa for our family.
The Villa was lovely with all bedrooms having a bathroon attached, large dining room ,sauna and indoor swimming pool and best of all it had magnificient views.
The housekeeper was very helpful. She came everyday for 11/2 hours with another member of her team to tidy kitchen and bathrooms or any other task we wanted .
Although the property was large and beautifully furnished, there were a few things that could have made our stay better.
The biggest downside ,i would say was the cost of electricity. It cost around 800euros for electricity for the week and almost 200 euros to heat the indoor pool ( which we only used twice because it was not warm enough). We could not understand why consumption /cost was so high considering there was no heating, and we did not use air conditioning as it was not hot enough to do so. So very expensive !
There were lots and lots of mosquitos !!We all came away with multiple bites despite using antimosquito sprays and citronella candles.
In was mentioned there was a BBQ at the villa, but there was no bbq which was disappointing as in the day we liked to spend time by the pool so we would have made use of a bbq if there was one there.
Other than this we had a lovely week in Capannori.

Thank you so much for sharing your home and beautiful story with us. I know you treasure these moments; just know we are all jealous… This trip was the most exciting trip of my last 15 years.. thank you Mrs Sonia for all you have done for us. Amanda

this is one of the most amazing places on earth
Our stay at Villa Valgiano in Lucca was a dream come true. When booking this property and asking questions Sonia was very fast and informative. On the day of our arrival we were met by the lovely Cristina who showed us to the house. Thankfully she did as it was through some country laneways. Cristina then took us around the house. We were absolutely thrilled. The owner had left us the most beautiful platters of fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as wine and oil, it was so lovely of her.
The pictures do not lie, this place is set on the most idyllic olive farm, with a glorious swimming pool and spectacular views. There is the main house with 12 bedrooms and additional orange house which is the most beautiful living room with the most amazing view over the vineyards and the rooling hills. The kitchen was lovely and the house is filled with the family's treasures. It is over 400 years old but had been kept in wonderful condition (we learned it was completely renovated in 2017). We had a situation where one of us required a Doctor and we were not sure what to do, so we contacted Mrs Sonia who was so concerned and so helpful. She arranged an appointment for us and then her lovely husband picked us up and took us there, then returned us home. That is what I call customer service!
Our view included the local church steeple (very Italian / Catholic). It looks very plain on the outside, but is just beautiful on the inside.
Mrs Sonia told us about the local markets on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, we took a look and it was nice. Hardly any tourists, just the locals doing their shopping. Lots of flowers, food, clothes, housewares etc.
Nearby is a Esselunga (giant supermarket) for all your needs and another one called Coop, which was excellent.
If you want to go to Florence, catch the train from the Pescia Station, about 8kms away, far less crowded than Lucca and easy to park.
Your will need a hire car in Tuscany to get around.
Lucca itself is a gorgeous city to visit and we had a great time riding bikes around the walls.
Pisa is only about 30 minutes away by car and worth a look if you haven't been before.
We also did a day trip to Livorno, which was ok, but wish we had gone to Cinque Terre instead.
So if you are looking for a home base to tour around this beautiful part of the world then go no further than Villa Valgiano. 5 Stars!!
Ciao
Maribeth

Unforgettable Villa Valgiano in Lucca
Villa Valgiano is a 500+ year old, completely restored villa nestled in the hills near the walled city of Lucca. Our 12 couples enjoyed complete comfort. The property has several acres with fig and other fruit trees, and the spiffy infinity pool overlooks a spectacular valley below with Lucca in the center, flanked by Pisa to one side and Florence to the other. The Villa is a beautiful spot to rest and relax, and a perfect location for day trips to many surrounding towns and historic sites. The indoor pool and SPA were a treat. The owners and Mrs Sonia could not have been more helpful in helping us plan and enjoy our trip. 5 star - can't wait to go back!
