About this house rental
Possibly the best location on Moosehead Lake. Tucked in a protected cove on a small point on the end of a dead end private road, this property with a large yard offers its own private beach as well as an association beach on the other side of the point with a playground, horseshoe pit, barbeque and picnic tables No matter what the wind direction or the time of day, you can find a sunny spot to enjoy the water out of the wind. Bring your boat or seaplane! This home has its own dock. (Note this is a floating dock intended for the docking of boats and not intended for more general use.) If you prefer, enjoy the tandem kayak complete with a third seat for a small child which is available for your use.
On the inside enjoy granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and 3 large bedrooms, in a tastefully decorated home with plenty of windows overlooking the lake 90 feet away where you are apt to see moose and deer enjoying a drink. Be sure to leave the windows open at night to hear the loons!
All this beauty and only 10 minutes from the shops and restaurants of Greenville

Host was attentive and great communicator. Just steps from the lake, we loved the long dock, gazing out on the surrounding landscape and canoe paddling. So much good hiking in the Moosehead lake region. Thank you for a great stay!

Loved the location - had a family of loons right out back and loved listening to their songs. Property has community access to a small beach and trails which was nice. Easy to get to town for supplies etc. Owner was super friendly and a big dog lover.

We had a wonderful family vacation here. The house is beautiful and well appointed. The property owner, Tom, was accommodating and great to work with.

Beautiful house, well stocked with necessities. Easy hassle free checkin and checkout. Tom checked with us halfway through our stay to see if we needed anything as we were the first renters of the season.

Although I was sad that weather did not allow me to enjoy a deep, dark Maine night sky. This house was an excellent location on the lake. Water front and back. A great dock, and use of canoes and a tandem kayak. Took the kayak out as a single and it was definitely a highlight!
The size and layout of the house was perfect for our small group of 3 and 1 dog. Close to downtown Greenville but far enough away that it was VERY quiet and relaxing.
My one criticism is that I think the cleaning company can step up their game. I know it allows pets which is awesome, but could have been a little better attention to detail here and there.

It was great! Greenville is such a beautiful area and we had perfect weather.
The beach and dock was nice.
Tom was very prompt and helpful with questions.
We would definitely go again!
Thank you Tom!

We love this property! It was our second time staying here with family and I can’t wait to go back! The kitchen is quite large and has everything you need. The dining room table was more than large enough to accommodate our family of six adults and one child. We spent most of our time outside by the lake. So pretty and relaxing. It was really quiet midweek. A little busier on the weekend as you would expect on this beautiful lake. We truly enjoyed our stay!

The property is nicely located on a small cove with a community beach close by… The house was very comfortable and roomy…. We had 5 of us with 2 dogs and we were never in any ones way.. if you’re coming to Moosehead Lake, this is the place to stay.

Needed a place to relax, can’t say enough about this time we spent together. The home gave a warm feeling as if so my happiness memories within the walls. The host was such a pleasure, he answered any questions made sure our check in went smoothly. Now I want to add we were born Mainers and never visited Moosehead. Beautiful views from the deck, seeing both the sunrise, sunset. I would definitely go back.

We really enjoyed our stay in Beaver Cove..the house was everything we needed, it was clean and check in was easy.
The water and beach is very swimmable and good for boat use. The only thing to be mindful of is some large rocks scattered in the water.
We found the Greenville area to have lots of different things to do. It is definitely a small town and there is one grocery store about 10 minutes away.
Overall I would fully recommend renting here!

Overall, the space and location gave us a great week away. House is spacious and comfortable and the lake access is great for swimming or boating. Was not prepared for neighbors to be walking by so close to the house, there’s a lakeside path around the peninsula that everyone in the association has access to is my guess, but everyone we met was friendly and overall the privacy was decent given how nearby others were.
Kitchen could use a deep clean - there was a decent bit of grease and stick over a lot of surfaces, floor, and cooking stuff - things needed to be pre-washed a lot before use - and is pretty bare bones on cooking pots, pans, and utensils (we couldn’t find any grill tools and serving and meal prep dishes were limited), but there’s enough to make due for a vacation.
Owner was friendly and welcoming, we bumped into him when we first arrived and he gave us a helpful overview of the space.
Hoping to stay again next year; we had a large group and we were all very content and comfortable the whole week.

Tom will definitely have to invest some $$ because the windows and the doors need some work. Overall the property is excellent.

The house is exactly as described and the location is amazing. The whole family had room to spread out, the views were beautiful, and the loons sang us to sleep every night. We loved our week here!

Beautiful and Relaxing
This is our first visit to Maine and we will return. The property is remotely located on beautiful Moosehead Lake. We had everything we needed to enjoy the beauty of Maine. (Totally worth the 17 hour drive)
Didn’t catch any fish in this section of the lake, but that happens. Within a short drive to local grocery store and nice shops in Greeneville and a 3 hour drive to Portland to see the ocean and some great light houses.

Great place to stay in Greenville
Great set up...located in Beaver Cove, convenient to get to town but still private. We brought our bass boat...had we known more about the fishing we would’ve brought our bigger fishing boat so we could get to the fish we could eat. Tom was very kind and helpful. The layout of the house was nice. Bathrooms were very clean. This is a great property to stay at for a family. We didn’t realize there was a closet full of games-we would’ve left ours at home. We enjoyed relaxing on the private beach, the kids had fun swimming and kayaking/canoeing. Even my dog said it was the best vacation she’s ever been on.

Piece of Paradise
Tom (the owner) was incredibly kind and responsive (including FANTASTIC directions to the main trails and dropping off DELICIOUS baked goods). The entire process was easy. The property itself was more conveniently located than had been expected (including the distance to ATV trails and the public beach area). The house was very spacious, the view was stunning and the firepit was a perfect way to end the night. I would rate a 5 overall and would recommend this property to anyone.

Great location
Overall we had a good week at Moosehead lake. We took our fishing boat, but the fishing was very slow. There is a nice, long dock at the house that we used. This is not a bass fishing lake (like East and West Grand lakes). We ended up buying a tube at the store and took the kids tubing on the 2 hot days. The local store in Greenville had everything we needed; it has a large grocery (Hannafords) sporting goods, housewares and clothing section all under one roof. Greenville currently has no good restaurants. Dockside restaurant was just OK, but at least it had a nice view. One of the other restaurants in town just closed. Dairy bar literally closed its window as we approached it at 7:30pm. We decided to cook at the house instead. Felt like the kitchen could use a thorough clean and perhaps a few more cooking utensils, but we managed OK. Thankful for large, quiet bedroom fans as it got warm at night. Beds were comfy. Bring your own beach towels - I had to buy some - most vacation homes that I have rented have them. The double kayak was nice to use. There were also 2 canoes if we wanted to use those. The Beaver Cove beach area is lovely, peaceful and has a nice gazebo, new playset and shed that contains lots of folding chairs and toys for the kids. It's literally a few steps from the house, and we walked over for wonderful sunsets. There is also a very nice beach area at the house; it's a bit rocky for swimming - would be great for little kids to paddle around in, though. At night there were tons of crayfish to see using a flashlight.

Relaxing getaway
We had a great week at the house on Moosehead Lake. One piece of advice for the house is to bring water shoes. There are rocks to wade past to get to swimming depth. The low water levels didn’t help but that is out of the owners control. Our family enjoyed the laid back week.

Restful ,quiet,relaxing
Well equipped house with everything needed for a home away from home experience. Well equipped kitchen,(although a few covered containers for leftovers would be a great addition).Good sized bedrooms and baths. Mattresses could use some toppers as they are quit hard. Nice views, fire pit, grills and deck. Also enjoyed the trail and the beach and play/ picnic area at the nearby park. Tom was terrific, took very good care of any needs and was thoughtful about picking up trash after our lobsters so it didn't sit all week. Thanks Tom you will see us again.

Lovely house on Moosehead
The house was clean, well kept and well equipped. The canoes and double kayak were perfect for paddling around Beaver Cove. Easy access to both downtown Greenville as well as Lily Bay State park. Only downside is that the water off the dock is too shallow for fishing.

Great stay on Moosehead!
We had a wonderful time! Tom was friendly and very responsive when we had an issue with the garbage disposal. His quick response (Within 1 hour) was very much appreciated! The home is spacious and having 3 full bathrooms was great for our group. We also loved the beach across the street for beautiful sunsets. Great place to stay for the week with family:).

Beautiful lake & home
We had a wonderful stay at Beaver Cove. The home was spacious and clean. It was well supplied with everything we needed for the week. The lake is absolutely gorgeous and the beach area was spacious. My children are 5 and 9 and they loved the sandy beach and water area. There is a public walking trail that runs right behind the home between the house and the water. I found this to be the only downfall as many people did not keep their dogs on leashes and it was frustrating to have to clean up other people's dog waste. I was hoping to not have to share the space with anyone else but it probably wouldn't stop me from renting the home again. But if you're looking for total privacy that could be a factor. The homeowner's son also stopped by unannounced to get things from the garage which I found to be a little strange. I think a heads up would have been nice since we paid to have the home to ourselves but again, not too much of a problem and wouldn't prevent me from renting. The association beach across the street was very beautiful and we spent a lot of time there. I wouldn't say they have a playground, its a swing set and one climbing structure but my daughter enjoyed it. If you enjoy loons then I highly recommend this location. It was my favorite part of our stay listening to the calls of the loons. We brought our boat and found the floating dock to be fine, just wobbly. It is very rocky but we didn't have any issues. A beautiful home and gorgeous lake!

Love our stay
The property was excellent. Loved the two different options to either be on the deck to enjoy the morning cup of coffee.and sunshine Or walk just a short distance to the big open beach area.
Only thing that would make life a bit more enjoyable is a gas grill, a few more pots and pans option, the coffee maker needs to be cleaned perhaps it was very slow to brew. Overall we had a great time and would book for next year.

Great week!!
Very nice place and good location! Fishing was slow but the weather was great my family really enjoyed their stay. This isn’t a complaint but the 2 things I think would be a nice addition are more dish towels and a propane grill. Thanks for the stay Tom!

Awesome quiet getaway!
my friends and I stayed here at Tom's place and had an awesome week. Fishing wasn't as great as we would have liked but can't blame anyone but ourselves there. Not for the lack of trying. Tom answered all of my questions before arriving and helped us with a minor kitchen appliance not working properly. He quickly resolved the issue. Quiet, restful. And everything you need are in this house for a great stay. Hopefully we can book again next year sometime. Thank you again Tom!
