Neighborhood overview
The neighborhood has amazing mid-century architecture and sweeping views of the Olympic mountains and Puget sound. It is a great neighborhood for walks. We are a quick 5-minute drive or 40-minute walk to Ballard neighborhood which has some of the best restaurants, shopping and nightlife in Seattle.
There is also a charming Ballard Farmers Market on Sunday from 9-2 that is a great way to experience what local Seattlites love about this beautiful city and neighborhood. You're a 5-minute drive to Golden Gardens and Shilshole-which is a family-friendly public beach on the Puget sound with breathtaking water and mountain views. There is a binder with a list of recommended restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops, movie theaters and things to do in Seattle.
Getting around
The house is 40 to 50 minutes from Sea-Tac Airport (17 miles), about 25 -35 minutes from downtown Seattle (6 miles) depending on traffic. It is a five-minute walk to multiple, frequent bus lines. There is private parking in our driveway. Seattle has car sharing services as well as Lyft and Uber. Quick access to arterial to I-5 and downtown Seattle. Ballard is adjacent to some great Seattle neighborhoods including, Fremont, Wallingford, Magnolia, Blue Ridge and Queen Anne.
There are insulated floors between our living room floor, kitchen and the apartment but you will hear general sounds of someone above. We are thoughtful about our guests and tread lightly. There is an in-ground pool on our property it is not for use by guests. However, you’re welcome to sit on our patio and enjoy the view- this is a shared space and you may see us.

The property was ok. We found the property outdated, the lighting to be sub standard and the sound proofing not good. We could hear people moving things around, footsteps on the upper level, and television noise.

It’s a nice property in a very nice neighborhood. Within walking distance to a few amenities or public transportation if wanted. If you like to play billiards then there is a table. The owners provided everything stated in the listing and there were no surprises. Overall we were very pleased with the location and place provided.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The place was cozy, clean, comfortable, and larger than we expected (rare for online interpretation of hotel/apartment sizing). There were several board games available for us/our kids to play and coffee on hand, too (my wife was particularly happy about that nice little touch)! Natasha, the host, responded to our inquiries right away and was very helpful. The neighborhood is nice and quiet but convenient to downtown Ballard, the beach, etc. We would definitely stay here again!

Comfortable place, lovely hosts, excellent location. Easy access to sightseeing, restaurants, and supermarkets. Definitely an affordable winner for a memorable and happy visit to Seattle.

I have hometown Gainesville Georgia friends across the street in Seattle from this wonderful accommodation . In addition to the location that is ideal ,the property is on the mark….comfortable bedding, nice bright bathroom, inviting cozy living room with a real tv with real tv stations , none of that roku or streaming stuff that I cannot figure out. The kitchen has every everything to make a meal with but remember you are in Seattle ….FOOD MECCA! And from this location any type of food you desire is not that far. Now here’s the good part….Natasha,Ken and Ed (their 15 yo shitzu) are the warmest hosts. If you need Natasha , she will be available to you ….trust me on this! As a solo, senior citizen traveler knowing they were upstairs meant everything. They are quiet as mice but I loved hearing sweet little Ed a time or two ….think he had the zoomies! If you are in need of lodging while in Seattle and this listing is available book it! You will not be disappointed. Thanks y’all and Go Dawgs!

We found this a very good place to stay while visiting our daughter in Ballard. We didn't have a car, but found walking through the neighborhoods a delight seeing all of the wonderful gardens. The kitchenette was small, but nicely stocked with the basics. The bed was super comfortable.

Natasha and Ken created a beautiful space for our family of 4 to enjoy for a few days. So many games for the family and the beds were very comfortable! We loved all the natural light and the house was impeccably clean. We will definitely be back and recommend to anyone who wants to stay in a gorgeous, quiet neighborhood with plenty to do in the surrounding area!

The house worked for us because it was close to our family and in a great location for walking. The main area had a lot of light from all the windows and we enjoyed playing pool in the evening.
