About this house rental
On the Swedish west coast, 35min north from Gothenburg and 25min south from Marstrand, on the island "Lilla Fjellsholmen", is this exclusive holiday home with wonderful sea views. The location is perfect for a week's relaxing holiday with family or friends in the archipelago. You can go swimming, crab fishing, sunbathing on the docks or just just relax on the terrace. For kids, there is a small beach, green play areas, a playground and a lot of things to discover. There are two marinas and an amazing shared sauna on the dock with direct access to the ocean (open all year around, if you dare).
LENGHTS OF BOOKINGS
During the summer period (May-Oct) the house is rented by the week, Saturday to Saturday. You can only book 1 week online but it is also possible to book 2 weeks (or more) if you contact the host before.
During the rest of the year (Nov-April), minimum booking is 4 nights and longer periods are also possible (contact the host if not possible to book online)
HOW TO GET THERE
It takes about 1h to drive from the Gothenburg Airport Landvetter. There is a short private bridge to reach the island. There is a also public bus stop just off the island, but it is more convenient arriving by car.
TO DO AND TO SEE
You are close to the world-famous sailing and seaside resort Marstrand, with its wide range of restaurants, boutiques and a rich entertainment scene. 25min by car or 20min by boat (5NM).
It takes only 35 minutes by car to Gothenburg with Liseberg Amusement Park and everything else you would expect to find in a big city.
Within a short drive there are also two golf courses and a small town with a grocery shop, pizzeria and Thai take-away. (There are no restaurants on the island or within walking distance.)
There are also good fishing opportunities around the island, and it is not unusual that seals are showing (if you are lucky you might even see one from the house).
THE HOUSE
The house was built in 2018 and is fully furnished and equipped.
The house is 108 m2, has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large mezzanine, a combined kitchen/living space, two parking spots, furnished terraces in all directions. and space for one medium size motor boat in the marina.
You will have the whole house for yourselves. There is also a small guesthouse on the property that is not included in the rental.
OTHER THINGS TO KNOW
There is a hot tub (wood burner heated) on the terrace which is not included in the rental because of the fire hazard when there is no snow on the ground.

This little small island is wonderful. In about 30 minutes You can wolk over the beautiful streets and avenues in Gothenborg.
The house does not need any improvements - it´s perfect!!!

We have spent one week in this wonderful sea lodge !
The area is so quiet and it was a pleasure to wake up, just open the eyes and enjoy the wonderful landscape.
Kids were enchanted to stay here, fishing crabs and climbing on the rocks
The house has all the up to date equipments, it was a pleasure to cook, looping at the sea.
Christian was a perfect host, answering very quickly and all informations were available and clear in the manual Christian has provided
There are a lot of things to do around, coast and islands , but also Goteborg, which is easy and quick to reach

My husband had business in Gothenburg. I decided to tag along. We are from Michigan, USA. We both had never been to Sweden so since we were going to be spending 4 days in a big city we thought it would be nice to see Sweden’s countryside and wanted to be on the ocean. We just started looking at the map and came across this beautiful little island. We came off season but it was still fantastic. Each day we would venture around the countryside. One of the best things was taking a Sauna right on the ocean. Christian set it up for us twice. And yes we got in the ocean to cool off. The sunset was beautiful. The house was just lovely and immaculately maintained. We felt very much at home and do plan return visits in the summer.

Christian is renting a beautiful and top equipped house with great views on a very pretty little island. The connection to Gothenburg is very good (30 minutes by car). And the communication with Christian was flawless. We would love to come back!

Just perfect
We had a wonderful time at this place. The house is beautiful and in a perfect condition. It combines modern design and comfort with the nature of the archipelago.
The kitchen is more than fully equipped and has everything you can think of.
The kids loved to explore the island and leaving us with a safe feeling. Things to do directly on the island that we enjoyed the most: Relaxing, sun bathing at
the Marina, crab fishing, swimming, climbing the rocks, looking for wild berries,…
Christian is an ideal landlord with immediate and helpful answers. Conclusion of tue whole family: when we come back to Sweden, we have to stay at this place.

Modern lodge living on peaceful west coast isle.
Me and my family of three had a really nice summer visit at this lodge. The most charming point of it was of course the view. It was like out of a painting when you looked down at the sea from the inside, especially during sunrise 🌅.
Another strong point was that the house was equipped with most necessities and sparkling clean at check-in. What we especially found useful was the guides and maps to help guests explore the surroundings. The only thing we needed to bring, aside from our personal belongings, was fresh groceries. The friendly and service-minded landlord also kept in touch with us and made sure we had a good stay.
The closeness to Gothenburg was convenient as well, since we wanted to see the city. We could get there within an hour of travel, using the car and public transport.
We tried the bookable sauna on the island with an exit strait into the sea. We were not disappointed.
All in all it’s an opportunity worth taking if you consider visiting too.
We’ll visit again, for sure.

Absolut idyllisch gelegenes Traumhaus
Das Haus auf Lilla Fjellsholmen, einer kleinen Insel im Skagerrak, bietet einfach alles, was man sich wünschen kann. Es ist modern und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die traumhafte Aussicht auf das Meer und vorgelagerte Inseln lassen keine Wünsche offen.
Der Kontakt zu Christian ist sehr unkompliziert und sympathisch. Wir würden sehr gern wiederkommen, egal zu welcher Jahreszeit.

It is located on a small island and offers a wonderful view of the sea through its huge window front from both floors. This view can also be enjoyed on several well-equipped terraces. If you are looking for a place for a quiet and relaxing holiday, you will find it here.
The house is fully equipped in every respect and offers plenty of space for relaxation even when the weather is not so nice.
Particularly noteworthy is the cleanliness of the property, which awaited us on arrival.
Check-in and check-out were extremely well organized and the contact with the very friendly landlord was extremely pleasant.
Shortly after our arrival, it was clear to us that we would rent this property again at any time and immediately took advantage of the extension option offered to us.

Traumobjekt in Traumlage
Das Fazit zuerst: Wir haben schon viele Ferienhäuser gehabt, aber dieses war eindeutig das Beste und hat unsere Erwartungen klar übertroffen. Es ist daher wirklich zu empfehlen.
Was aus der Beschreibung vielleicht nicht so eindeutig hervorgeht: Es liegt auf einer kleinen Insel und bietet aufgrund der riesigen Fensterfronten aus beiden Stockwerken einen fantastischen Blick auf das Meer. Es gibt zudem rundherum Terrassen mit vielfältigen Sitzgelegenheiten, wo man den tollen Ausblick ebenfalls genießen kann. Wenn man Ruhe und Entspannung sucht, ist man hier bestens aufgehoben.
Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist eigentlich in jeder Hinsicht komplett und es bietet auch flächenmäßig jede Menge Platz, so dass man es auch bei nicht so schönem Wetter sehr gemütlich hat. Ein besonderer Pluspunkt ist auch die Sauberkeit, die man so selten findet.
Der Check-in und der Check-out waren perfekt organisiert und der Kontakt mit dem sehr freundlichen Vermieter war top.
Bereits kurz nach der Ankunft war uns klar, dass wir hierhin jederzeit gerne wieder fahren würden.

Vi kombinerade semester med jobb en vecka i maj. Fantastiska omgivningar, otroligt fint hus som inte saknade något. Med en magisk vy. Tack till värdparet som var väldigt serviceminded.

Fantastic House and a dream Location / Ein Traumobjekt!
We really enjoied the perfectly outfitted ant very comfortable house! i.e. almost everything we needed as Hobbychefs was there. Very good guidence throug the contactless check inn and very friendly communication with Christian. The views are magnificent, we loved it, to get waked up by the low rising sun, and have fantastic views over the sea even without leaving the bed. GREAT! Did some very nice walks around the small islands around Marstrand too. Very lovely! Thanks for the really relaxing days at your house.
Wir haben das sehr gemütlich und sehr gut ausgestattete Haus wirklich genossen. Auch für uns als Hobbyköchhe war die Küche nahezu perfekt mit allem was wir brauchten ausgestattet. Brauchten nur unsere eigenen Meeresfrüchte Werkzeuge ;)). Die Lage und die Aussicht des Hauses sind großartig. Wir haben es sehr genossen, morgens von der über den Inseln aufgegenden Sonne geweckt zu werden und den Blick über das Meer zu genießen, ohne überhaupt das Bett verlassen zu müssen:)) Wäre viel zu schade gewesen, die Vorhänge zu schließen..... Rund um Marstrand kann man schöne kleine Wanderungen um und über die Inselchen genießen. Alles in allem eine wirklich erholsame Woche, auch Dank der reibungslosen und sehr freundlichen Kommunikation mit Christian! Ich denke, wir kommen wieder :)) Sabine & Ralf B.

Tolles Haus
Es handelt sich um eine sehr modernes und sehr gut ausgestattetes Haus in hoher Qualität.
Die Einrichtung ist mehr als ausreichend.
Wir haben uns an der schönen und exklusiven Lage, dem wunderbaren Blick auf das Wasser und der für uns reizvollen Umgebung sehr erfreut.
Die Kommunikation mit dem freundlichen Eigentümer war sehr gut und ganz unkompliziert.
Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und haben uns gut erholt.
Gern empfehlen wiur das Objekt weiter und würden auch sehr gern wiederkommen.

Wunderful location
We spent a wunderful week in this great house with an excellent view over the bay and area. The modern house is equipped with everything we could have imagined. Also the region with the isle of Tjörn, Gothenburg and Marstrand close by is nice to discover. Thanks Linda and Christian.

Tranquility in a beautiful setting
We had a wonderful week and wanted for nothing in the house - there was everything for our comfort and although the weather could have been kinder it did not put a "damper" on our stay. The quality of all the fittings, kitchen, appliances etc. were superb and the view from the Breakfast Table a delight!
The hosts left us with plenty of information and maps of the area and we ventured far beyond the Island. The beds were very comfortable and it has to be said we slept a lot - the Bohuslän Sea Air has this effect on us "Townies".
We were 5 retired Rotarians fromt he UK sharing this house and never ever did we feel that we were living on top of each other - there was plenty of space for all of us. I thoroughly recommend this property and would not hesitate to go back again. Bring your "games" for the rainy day and a bottle of wine will always help!
