This historic 1850's Cottage is located in the heart of Robe and as the name suggests is situated on the corner of Smillie and Bagot Street.
The cottage is located within 100m of Robe's safest swimming beach, specialty shops, cafes, hotels and restaurants, and is only a very short stroll to Robe's golf course.
There are 3 bedrooms sleeping 6 guests with a fully equipped kitchen, separate dining and large lounge to complete the accommodation.
The private, fully enclosed rear courtyard is ideal for relaxing, and enjoying a BBQ lunch, or enough room for a small pet.

If you are looking for a stay without all the bells and whistles but in a great location then would recommend. Only form of hearing was a woodheater however no wood was left. Great location the property was lovely and original on the exterior however very basic on the inside but did the job once we got the heater going 😊

The location is fantastic, we could wander around town on foot at the drop of a hat, but it isn't notably noisy. The online entry reflected the reality well. The courtyard is not huge (pictures show that). There is a small stable slot for car parking which offers shade for most of the car.The cottage is in a complex of buildings dating from the old Criterion Temperance Hotel and so it has quirks of layout but overall it is spacious and comfortable. What is might lack in glitz and spa baths it makes up for with character, insulation and a log fire. The main trade-off is the lack of a great view.The place is tidy and the beds are comfortable - we slept well. Kitchen is quite well supplied and as I carry a 'larder' I didn't care that there is no condiments or cafe supplied. Nice local bathroom soapy stuff.The staff were responsive and polite, no issues there.

Just over the road from the main beach and main street, my partner and I were really impressed with this charming cottage. The weather was cold and wild and the fire place was perfect. The outside area for our two dogs was well protected with high fences and undercover area to have their crates setup for the stay. Highly recommended! We'll be back again :) ps. Do yourself and favour and make a stop in Coonawarra for the wine - Majella was a favourite

This cottage is in a great location so easy to walk to all the shops and eating places in the main street .
The bathroom is up 3 stairs from the bedroom which wasnt suitable for my 87 year old mother .
The windows in the dining room are needing a good clean - full of dead flies etc and cobwebs ! This suprised as as the rest of the place clean .

A great spot to stay with easy walking access to everything in Robe. Cottage history vibe but spacious and light. Comfortable beds and lovely sitting room with wood fire. Plenty of cooking utensils / cups etc but no groceries provided (bread, tea, coffee). This was not expected but just handy to know for future visitors. All is available in the local Foodland of course!

We had a lovely weekend, after some toing and froing over making the beds. They were beautifully made. We got through the wood provided pretty quickly, but it warmed up the house well. Nice newly fitted shower room, but, it could do with an extractor fan.

This was a last minute booking and it worked out beautifully. We have a young family so the location was perfect - easy walk to all of Robes township services. The place was lovely and clean and spacious for us and the family we were staying with. The Agents were fabulous also. We will be back. Thank you.

Love the new courtyard
Back again for Easter to find the courtyard has been given a makeover. Its now fully paved so we could sit outside in the sun and sheltered from the prevailing wind. Also provides a much better outlook from the Dining area and the space feels bigger. A great improvement

Historical cottage with vibe
Wonderful staying in an old cottage in the middle of historic centre of Robe a short walk from the Beach, Restaurants and Shops. The facilities are basic as you would expect from an old cottage, but has what is need, is comfortable with plenty of heaters, very comfy beds and excellent soaking shower. And it has a great vibe to it.

We loved the location. Dissappointed in house being full of cobwebs, spiders, some windows were fithy. Mould in shower. We left it cleaner than we found it.
