Great for having a large group. We had a fun kiddo birthday party and although everyone didn’t stay the night they could have.
The waterfront is not exactly great for swimming as is very muddy and there were a lot of snakes in the yard which the kids enjoyed but my wife didn’t.

House overall needs some TLC. The front steps are crumbling but the biggest issue indoors was the lack of proper window coverings for privacy. Some windows have weird sheers and curtain combos that are difficult to close and there are windows with no coverings at all like one in the master bath that faces the street. (I showered with the light off after confirming it wasn’t privacy glass) Unable to use the kayaks because there is nowhere to put them in but a steep muddy bank. No seating for the fire pit and there is no access to back yard from the deck to carry the chairs down, cushions are moldy. BUT, it was nice to have a place big enough for our whole family stay together and for that I’m grateful. One last note on communication with the host, Cassie, that it was the worst we’ve experienced except one time when we had an issue with the grill (which her husband resolved quickly and he was very nice) Usually hosts make you feel welcome and thank you for staying at their place and there is none of that here. She didn’t even respond when we messaged her, as requested, that we were out.

Several family members joined me an my sister for the weekend that include cookie baking, lots of games played, dinner at Mallards, church on Sunday and Steak/Orzo dinner on my birthday. The site was awesome with lots of space to spread out and multiple sleeping options. Was in a location that was accessible to may parts of the twin cities. We watched ducks on the river and turkey in the neighbors yard.

Our group of 11 people stayed in this place for a week and it was amazing. The amenities the property provided were awesome with a spacious floor plan, plenty of bed space, and even some provided activities that gave us plenty to do when we were relaxing at the house. No complaints on my end, lovely place to stay.

14 of us including 6 grandchildren drove from Winnipeg to celebrate my birthday.
Lots of space for all of us -well equipped kitchen - nice deck- lots of couches & sun room. Beautiful property in quiet neighbourhood overlooking the river. Met all our needs. Stayed 5 nights -wish we had stayed longer. We would definitely stay again.

This property was exactly as pictured on the posting. Very spacious, clean, plenty of towels and beds for all. The 8 grandkids really enjoyed the game room. Cassie was responsive and answered all my questions/requests prior to stay. Would definitely book again. One recommendation would be to have childproof locks on the lower level outside doors.

Perfect family reunion spot
This house was perfect for our multi-generational family reunion. There are plenty of separate spaces upstairs and down for a group to spread out. The grill and kitchen were great for preparing big meals (double oven a plus!), and the game room allowed for an epic multi-day family ping pong tournament. We had leisurely breakfasts on the deck looking at trees and listening to the birds (including wild turkey wandering around next door), made s’mores for the kids in the fire pit at night, the teens hooked up TV for video games, we went kayaking in the river (warning - getting in/out was rather difficult due to low water levels - wish there was a little dock), gathered in the sunroom for games and conversation, and walked around the neighborhood to the swing bridge and parks. It was all so relaxing and fun. We all definitely want to return!

Perfect for a family gathering
This was a nice family gathering place. 10 of us stayed in the house and there was ample space to spread out. We hosted up to 25 for dinner every night enjoying the patio after dinner! There were even bald eagles that we got to enjoy hanging at the river!

Great rental
We had ten people stay comfortably in this rental for a 3-day weekend. The home was very clean and spacious with great views of the river. The kitchen has most of the things you'll need, though we lacked a few essential tools, so you might want to bring some with you if you plan to do a lot of cooking. While the basics are there, the home does feel like a rental in that furniture is sparse. There was not any space in the home where all ten of us could comfortably sit together at one time.

Good retreat for a short stay
We really enjoyed our stay. Cassie was always prompt to answer our questions and solve minor problems.
It has a great view to the river and a fun game area inside the house.
I would give five stars if it was not for the mattresses that were very uncomfortable. By the end of our stay, it was annoying to think that I had to go to bed night. We rented the house for nine adults and we all had the same complaint.
We still didn’t receive out refundable deposit, which should had happened almost a month ago and we can’t figure out whose fault it is.
Overall it was a good experience.

A wonderful, large, clean retreat.
The house was well stocked and clean. The outdoors was teaming with wildlife to watch. Our favorite space was the sun room. It was so relaxing to sit and chat while having our morning coffee. There is nothing I would change about the home as it was simply perfect for our Girls Weekend.

Family Vacation
Our family had the perfect time at this rental. We would highly recommend this rental. We had twin (9 month old babies) and 1 1&1/2 year old. They had room to play and we appreciated the deck outside that had no stairs so they could enjoy the outdoors as well. The only thing I would say was a downfall was the lack of furniture in the upstairs. The back river view is just beautiful and we would have enjoyed sitting out there but there was not enough furniture. Other than that, the home was beautiful and Cassie answered all questions, and gave us ideas on site seeing. Great property!

Comfortable and beautiful
I recently stayed at this house with a sizable group of people and it was a comfortable, homey space. All of the guests (even the hard-to-impress young adults) were in awe of how beautiful it was and the owner has really managed to combine class with function. There's plenty of space for people to sleep and when the weather is nice the deck outside provides an awesome extension for relaxing/hanging out. Our guests still enjoyed the stay even though it was unseasonably wet and cool because of the indoor watching spaces to look out over the river and enjoy a surprising amount of geese.
I particularly appreciate the opportunity to use VRBOs because it allows us to cook and eat as a family instead of going out for every meal. We saved a TON of money and gained a ton of face time. This house has some of the basics for cooking but if you plan to do the same, throw a few basics in your car as you pack -- this is on par with other VRBOs I've used in the past so I was glad to have thrown my pancake griddle and a few other cooking essentials in my car when I planned the trip. The kitchen was gorgeous and clean and our group felt at home around the island and kitchen table.
Check in is super easy and when we had questions, Cassie was responsive through the app helping me to find things I was looking for or answering questions. Inver Grove Heights has a lot of easy access to get into the cities and the house has conveniently located grocery stores/gas stations/pizza places within probably 5 minutes. Even though the house is located just minutes from some businesses/the main part of town, it feels pretty remote and private at the same time so it is an ideal spot for a group looking to be able to all be together and be a little removed without removing yourself from any conveniences.
