My family enjoys staying here on our annual trips to Vermont. Nice, quick walk to the beach area, kayaks and a canoe for us to use, clean and the owner who lives next door is helpful and kind.

Denise has a lovely spot and is a wonderful host. Beds are very comfortable and the apartment had everything we needed. She really goes above and beyond as a host to make sure her guest are comfortable. Joes pond is a gorgeous spot to visit.

Myself and three friends stayed for 5 days and had a lovely time. Denise welcomed us when we arrived. We were busy driving around Vermont, but the property was beautiful and we enjoyed our time there.

Had a great stay in this VRBO! Denise was around to greet us, despite us running late past check-in time (there were 2 of us - brother & sister). Denise supplied everything you could think of, including access to her kayaks and canoe on the lake next to the rental. Place was very comfortable, furnished in a very quaint and tasteful way. Totally worth anyone's stay! The downside: extremely steep steps from the 1st floor living area to the 2nd floor bedrooms. So, if you have physical limitations you may need to reconsider this VRBO, unless you are willing to sleep on the couch downstairs. We managed well and viewed the stairs as an aerobic advantage. A road with occasional traffic runs past the front of the shared house, but the back of the house is very tranquil. There is a cute l'il strip of stores within walking distance - a well-supplied market complete with a post office, a taco restaurant, and a craft store. All in all, we had a great experience at this VRBO!!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean, cozy, and right next to the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail and Joe's Pond, with its own dock. Denise was easy to contact and responded quickly to questions. In addition, she was a friendly host who wanted to make sure her guests were comfortable and well taken care of. We would stay again!

Arriving shortly after a rain storm of the century, the property owner was dealing with water in the basement. A musty smell lasted for days. No one’s fault, just a disappointing circumstance. The exterior and entry needs a good pressure washing to eliminate pesky spiders and webs.
The apartment was well stocked with ample bed, bath, and kitchen supplies. Nicely located across from the country store.

This is a tidy home and it is conveniently located though on a busy intersection with intermittent street noise. It is a beautiful view with access to the lake out back. We only wish we could've taken advantage of the offer of kayaks and a grill. We were grateful for Denise's prompt attention and consideration at check in and flexibility at check out. I appreciated that there wasn't a long list of todos before leaving. We would certainly stay here again.

The property owner was very friendly and responsive( we blew a circuit breaker ) to a minor problem. I would recommend it to everyone.

Such a cozy wonderful spot! We have done several rentals like this and this one was by far the most comfortable. The king size bed was amazing. The pantry had a few staples that made making dinner easy including coffee and the filters for the coffee maker. We entertained a few friends and they loved it as well. We will be back. Diane was easy to communicate with and check in and out was simple.
We can’t wait to go back!

Great experience with a hospitable host. Cozy setting in a convenient location to explore Vermont’s North East Kingdom. House backs up to beautiful Joe’s Pond and the Lamoille Valley bike trail at the junction of US Route 2 and VT Route 15, and close to interstates 91 & 93. We would love to come back again! A beautiful 4 season location!

Wonderful stay
This spotless place was as described. Owner was super friendly and helpful.
The only negative is traffic noise, but you can walk to library, general store, crafts store and antiques store, along with food truck and beach. Small price to pay :)

Nice quaint apt. Neat and clean. Comfortable bed upstairs. Bathroom up would have been nice but we knew that upfront. Denise was a very gracious host who even made last minute changes to accommodate our changing schedule. Great place to stay as we wandered the “northern kingdom”.

Great, amenities and great location but a bit noisy
Wonderful location, very neat and clean. Really organized and comfortable to stay in. A bit noisy because of the intersection nearby, and both bedrooms are up some very very steep stairs. Everything else was absolutely amazing! We even got to borrow kayaks and go kayaking on the pond. The owner is incredibly nice and friendly and there to help with anything. I would absolutely stay here again but I'd bring earplugs:-)

We had a wonderful time at Joe's Pond! Denise was a great host and puts lots of care into keeping the apartment well stocked and clean. She was very kind and was easy to get in touch with if we had any questions. It was perfect being at the pond and also next to the LVRT. We enjoyed shopping at the craft shop across the street, boating on the pond, biking on the trail, and driving to visit nearby towns. We had such a nice week and look forward to coming back again!

Relaxing with access to all amenities if desired
My friend + I had a wonderful, relaxing time... loved the path/trail right in front of the apt for walking! We took easy day trips around the area...and NO traffic (we work in the Boston area so that was a treat..."rush hour" was maybe 3-4 cars on the road). Beds were very comfy. Only 2 things to consider but not deal breakers...bathroom is on first floor, bedrooms on second so if you get up often during the night it's a trip downstairs. Also morning could get a bit noisy w/trucks driving by but we had our windows open so it's probably quieter w/them closed. Denise + her daughter Bridget were very nice, welcoming + helpful!! I loved our week here + highly recommend a stay here!!

Joe's Pond, West Danville
Very fun place to stay, we borrowed the canoe to explore the ponds, took a jaunt to the Fairbanks museum in St. Johnsbury for the night sky talk. then enjoyed star-gazing from Denise's dock. Relaxed and had great food at Three Ponds restaurant across the street. Would love to visit again.

Home away from home
Loved Denise's place and hope to be back again. It was as advertised and Joe's pond is a beautiful setting. Conveniently, a great restaurant and general store are right across the street. The VAST path/trail behind the property provides miles of beauty for hiking and biking, and snowmobiling. There was also a nice beach with picnic tables just a short walk away. Also a short ride to many attractions in the Northeast Kingdom, we saw quite a bit in our three days there and look forward to coming back.

A true home away from home!
We had everything we needed in this cozy apartment. Thoughtful details included fluffy blankets by the fireplace, a basket of tea, cabinets stocked with coffee & packets of oatmeal, soft linens, blankets & towels, and high quality toiletries. The place was clean as clean can be, and we truly appreciate the thoughtfulness of our hosts! Should we require a stay in the Northeast Kingdom area again, we'll be back--thank you so much!

Great Apartment right on the trails.
My husband and I had a great time in West Danville. The apartment was quite comfortable, with everything we needed. The best part, was being right on the snowmobile trails. Plus we were able to walk to a restaurant right across the street.

Fall Colors Tour
We stayed at the property for 7 nights and it fit our needs to a tee! Denise was a great host, answering our questions and providing literature on the area sites and events. The unit was well stocked with everything you need to make a home away from home. We would stay there again!

Nice place
We enjoyed our stay at this water front apartment. The area is fabulous and Denise was extremely sweet.
Clean! Washer and dryer easy to use. Shower has good pressure (and plenty of towels and wash clothes). Kitchen has anything you need for a quick meal.
Access to the water and Denise has equipment to use should you decide to journey out.
As in other reviews this unit is at a busy intersection but I wouldn’t let that keep me from staying again if ever in the area.
A great value!!

Fantastic for our needs
Spotlessly clean, everything we needed, hosts were very responsive with answers to the few questions we had. The LVT is a real treat. Excellent cafe steps from the door and super fast wifi. Only downside is proximity to fairly busy intersection.

Amazing cozy cottage
My friends and us (2 married couples) rented this place during the Easter week end and we loved it. The description of the place in the website was exactly what we found out when we arrived. The place was very clean and very bright and sunny. The beds are comfortable and we slept well although the house is at the corner of the road but you hardly hear a car passing by since it is a countryside. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need. Denise and Bridget are the perfect hosts we ever had. They explained everything and no surprise at all. We are planning to book again in summer as the place will be just wonderful. If you like walking, the trail is right there and the lake and the landscape is gorgeous.
Those who like beer at the brewery, the red Barn is just minutes from the house. Love it.
Thank you so much Denise for your hospitality and looking forward to go back in summer to enjoy the other part of it such kayak and canoes on the lake. So excited already.
