Enjoy the Lake with amazing views in our recently renovated house. One of the best lots on the Lake. Available year round. It is located in a large peaceful "no-wake" cove about 25 minutes from I95. A beautiful sandy beach nearly 100 feet long, large swimming and sunning dock, screened in porch on boat house, beautiful waterfall with professional landscaping, gentle slope to the waterfront, putting green complete with sand trap and tee, bonfire pit, hammock, plenty of sun and shade, stairs into water and much more. There are lots of lake front entertaining spaces to make GREAT memories. Valentine House has it's own private boat ramp and great fishing. Almost 300 feet of waterfront with both deep and shallow water access. High speed cable internet. Paddleboat, 2 kayaks and some water toys included for your enjoyment.
House renovations include an all new kitchen and new bathrooms in 2018. Large great room with huge picture windows and amazing views of the lake. 3 bedrooms are located on the main floor allowing for easy access for children or seniors. The master beds are new and comfy. A master bedroom suite complete with an adjustable king size bed, beautiful bathroom with large shower, and French doors that lead to side porch. Another master bedroom with a king size bed and a door that leads to a different side porch. The 3rd bedroom has a full size bed. On the second floor there is a 4th bedroom that has 2 twin beds. There is a 5th bedroom on the 2nd floor with a bunkbed that has a pull out trundle. In the loft area on the 2nd floor there is a daybed that has a trundle as well. The large open kitchen has plenty of new appliances and plenty of storage space. Lots of dishes, glasses, pot and pans , serving dishes, drip coffee maker, Keurig coffee maker, toaster oven, blender and more available for your use. Large table for dining and bar seating at the counter as well. 60" TV, blu-ray player, and lots of dvds in the great room for those rainy days. Foosball table in loft with lots of games for young and old alike. Large Propane grill on patio. New Hot Tub is in the covered and screened patio above the waterfall.
20 minutes from Lake Anna State park where there is lots of hiking trails. Dollar General is 10 minutes away and Food lion is about 20 minutes . 30 minutes to King's Dominion. 10 minutes to Lake Anna Winery. 5 minutes to Pleasants Landing and El Gran Patron.
If you are boating, you are close to the widest part of the lake and Dike 3, which is one of the best fishing spots on the lake. There is a boat rental marina directly across the lake from our cove, about a 5 minute boat ride.
In summer, rentals are available for minimum of 6 days during high-season (Memorial Day to Labor Day). During the summer, check-in is only available on Saturday or Sunday. Summer check-out is only available on Friday or Saturday. Off season rentals are available for a minimum of 4 nights.

This is our first VRBO experience and can’t say enough great things. The property was absolutely stunning. We spent most of our stay in the screened in porch/swimming off the dock. The littles very much enjoyed playing in the sand and splashing around at the beach. The house was comfortable and fully stocked with ALL the kitchen supplies you could think of. We are sad to see that this property is not available next summer because it was hands down, the best house we have ever stayed in!

This is our 3rd time staying at this wonderful property. The location is amazing. We bring our jetskis and it is a perfect place for tubing. The house is absolutely perfect. All amenities are more than we could ask for.

The house, property and lake were beautiful and the owner was very responsive and forthcoming with information. We had three families, all with children, staying for a week (6 adults and 5 kids). We spent the majority of the time in the water and on a boat (rented locally). The beach area was great for the little ones, and the dock was deep enough for the big kids and adults to jump off of. The cove we were on was quiet and the end of the lake we were on was much quieter for tubing, unlike the other side of the lake. We didn't get a chance to use the hot tub, but it was clean and in good condition. We typically have four families on our vacation, but if the time comes where we only have three again we would absolutely return. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

This week was perfect way to end a busy summer. We could definitely see coming back and exploring even more of Lake Anna. It was a week that didn’t fly by too fast as most vacations do.
This property itself was in one word - amazing. From large dock to jump in the lake from or sunbathe to beach area to the hammock in the trees to fire circle to boathouse and kayaks to waterfall feature and to one of my favorite spots. One of my favorite spots was the small deck area closer to boat house. It provided great view of property and easy to watch anyone swimming in front of dock.
Selfishly, I do wish I could keep this gem a secret. (So that it doesn’t book up too fast and we can come back here.). I can see why the owners fell in love with this property and how they creating a great house on the lake.

We have been staying at the Valentine House for 1 week over the last few summers and every time has been wonderful. The house and its location are perfect and feels private, but still close to go tubing or take the boat out. The beach area is lovely with soft sand and very few rocks to worry about. The boathouse is screened in and perfect to hang out in. The house is beautiful and Nanette does such a great job of making you feel like your vacation going well is as important to her as it is to you. She is responsive and gracious. We love the house and area so much that we have already booked again for next year and can’t wait to be back at the Valentine House.

Such a gorgeous property. This is our 2nd stay here and it's just a wonderful place. Everythng is clean! The kitchen is well stocked with utensils. We bring our jetskis and it's a perfect part of the lake to ride around every day.

We had the absolute best experience! From the beginning of booking all the way to leaving, our experience was wonderful. The property owner is kind, attentive and communicative. The house was beautiful with space for our family of 6 to spread out. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and felt like home. The house is beautifully updated.
The outside is gorgeous with amazing landscaping and many spaces to explore and play different sports and activities. We enjoyed the boat house ALOT and the sandy beach was a hit for us all. The lot is perfectly situated in a private area that still had gorgeous views. We loved the ability to be in full sun or shade at any point of the day.

Our family had a wonderful stay last week at the Valentine House! The property was spectacular with a beautiful boat house, private dock and beach, lovely firepit area on the beach. Lots of yard too for us to play yard games/sports. Quiet neighborhood.
The house was clean and had everything we needed and more! It fit our family perfectly!
Nanette was a wonderful hostess and answered our questions in a timely manner.
It was the perfect place to relax and spend quality time together as a family. Highly recommend and look forward to staying there again!

The home is spacious and comfortable, beautifully decorated and superbly equipped. The view of the lake takes your breath away no matter what time of the year and the amenities...one could not ask for more. Wander on the grounds or around the lake. The boathouse is intoxicating with the screened in porch - grab a good book and settle in. Or sit by the fire pit in the evening and watch the stars. We cooked every night and entertained visiting family with such ease. You will want for nothing here...just an extension of your time!

My husband and I rented this property for a family vacation with our two children, their spouses, and five grandchildren children ranging in ages between 15 months and 7 years. This trip was in lieu of our OBX vacation. We decided on a lake vacation because of the ages of the grands.
It was the best decision we could make! Lake Anna, and in particular this property, checked every box! We brought our pontoon which we tied up at the dock. Between the boat and all of the amenities of the outside spaces, we had a ball!!!
The boys (5 and 7) were up with the chickens and down at the dock fishing. We lost count of how many bluegills they caught and they loved every minute.
If you’re looking for a spot to give your family, and particular the kids, outdoor recreation at it’s best, then this is the place!

This was our first time vacationing on Lake Anna and it was Perfect! The home was beautiful, very clean and well equipped.
The quiet cove and walk out beach area was great for the small children who spent hours playing in the sand. The outdoor landscaping was beautiful, from the putting green or relaxing in the screened in boat house to sunning on the large dock there was something for everyone. The lake clean and warm. I would absolutely come back to this vacation home.

The house is beautiful and the perfect size for our family and another family to stay (10 people overall). The outdoor area is absolutely amazing, though! The beach area and dock are perfectly situated for kids to play and swim and parents to easily join or watch. We were able to dock our boat on the side. Nanette is extremely responsive and wants you to have a great stay and she hits the mark every time! We will definitely stay again!

We had a great stay at this well stocked and decorated house. The owners have thought of everything. There is a lot of privacy and fun to be had! The house is towards the end of the lake and very quiet. Everything was comfortable and worked well. We would definitely recommend a stay there!

The Perfect Waterfront Retreat
What a fantastic property! 9 of us stayed very comfortably with room to spare. There's nothing lacking at this property - both inside and out. We utilized the outdoor amenities - our favorites were using the kayaks, making fires on the beach, and finding one of many nooks to sit and relax.
Indoors - there was a well-organized kitchen with everything we could possibly need to execute a full Thanksgiving dinner. Beds were so cozy it was impossible not to sleep in, and the loft space was perfect for the kids' private roomy retreat.
Communication with Nanette was effortless. Quick to answer any questions we had before, during, and after our stay.
This is a truly special special property and we felt fortunate to be staying there. So many beautiful memories were made. Don't think twice, just book it!

Slice of paradise!
This property just checked all the boxes for us when we booked and we were not disappointed! This was a celebration of our 40th anniversary and also our grandson's 5th birthday. From the gorgeous views to the firepit, the hot tub, paddleboat, Jon boat, and beautiful spacious interior of the house - it was just a perfect vacation! Nanette was always super responsive before, during and after our stay and very warm and accommodating. I can't recommend this property enough. The week went by much quicker than we wanted. Overdue Family Vacation
It has been a long time since we have had a family vacation. My husband and I wanted to get our 4 children, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, & 3 grandchildren together for a week vacation. We were thinking beach but I came across this property on the lake.
The property was even more amazing then we imagined. The pics are good but to see it in person is breathtaking.
It was so nice to make memories and watch everyone enjoy themselves. Fishing, canoeing, swimming, playing golf, relaxing in the hot tub, playing on the beach, eating s'mores around the fire pit, and hanging out around large dining table playing games.
The views from the kitchen & living room were amazing. The host of the lake house was very helpful when we had questions or concerns. Very quick response time.
My family and I would highly recommend this lake house and look forward to returning next year.

The pictures do not capture how much space and activities are on this property!! From the screened boat porch to the sandy beach and golf green, the tranquility if the waterfall and the enjoyment of the hot tub, this place is a 1st place winner for families that love to be outdoors!!

Great place for a getaway
We loved our week-long stay here. The house is great and can't beat the location and view. We loved the property and all the amenities - we also rented to jon boat for the week and really enjoyed it. Nanette was super responsive to all of our questions and the property really is as nice as all of the pictures.

Beautiful home, great location
This was our second time at Valentine Cove. The property is lovely - lots of lakefront area, including a shady beach area with adirondack chairs, great dock for fishing where the little ones caught a bunch of little fish, 2 kayaks and paddleboat are fun activities, swimming right off the dock. Secluded cove without much boat traffic at all and it is a no-wake zone so no speeding motors to worry about. All around, this is a great home.

Outstanding stay for two families!
We had an outstanding stay at Valentine House in July 2021. Our group, two families consisting of 4 adults and 6 children (toddler-teenager age range) had a wonderful stay. The kitchen is perfect for hanging out. The sofas are comfortable for lounging. The bedrooms are very well appointed for a group. I liked that the “kids” rooms were upstairs and away from doors (peace of mind for parents). The outdoors are are amazing. The dock and beach were used all day by our group morning-evening! We hope to be back. Also, Nanette (the owner) was so responsive. We appreciate being able to get answers about any questions before and during our stay.

Wonderful stay
We had a wonderful family vacation at the Valentine house. There was plenty of room for all 10 of us- all of us even fit at the dining table.! So much to do around the property-we enjoyed the kayaks, the johnboat and especially the boat house where the kid/teenagers hung out quite a bit. we rented a boat one day and went tubing which was a lot of fun. This was one of our favorite family vacations and we highly recommend a stay at the Valentine House.

Beautiful Oasis
The house is gorgeous, but the property is AMAZING. The house had all of the amenities we could possibly need. We rented the Jon boat for an additional fee, which the teens enjoyed driving around a bit to sight see.
The beach is perfect and the position of the property on the lake was ideal for tubing and boating.
We can't wait to stay here again!

Fantastic property!
The house is updated and well maintained. The grounds are amazing- the sandy beach, the dock, the screened porch in the boat house, the waterfall and the putting green- so much to enjoy. There truly is ample parking and even an ice maker in the screened porch. Our group enjoyed it all!

Amazing Lakehouse
The pictures do not do a justice for this rental. We spent a lot of time in the boat house. Spent an entire day playing the hole of golf. The property is very large so there are many places to spend your time. Property Manager is quick to respond.

Lake Anna Vacation
We enjoyed a lovely week at Lake Anna. The grounds and amenities of this home are amazing. We especially enjoyed the private beach in the low wake zone. It was a great space for our young children to play all day. We were delighted with the quality of the beach towels that were provided as part of the rental.
We also rented the John boat and found it was a great way to explore more on the lake. As a side note, the house has two adult life vests and one small child so if you are traveling with more people, be sure to pack your own!
The house had reliable WiFi which made remote learning and working while on vacation really easy. The large open living area of the home was lovely and comfortable. We also enjoyed the varied spaces and seating options outside.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are all updated and are spacious. The two masters, one with an en-suite, on the main floor were both large and comfortable. The upstairs bedrooms were nice with all twin beds. One room does have the upstairs AC vent which makes this room cooler than the other upstairs bedroom.
We were very happy with this home and the variety of outdoor amenities right at the home. We felt especially welcomed by the owners with the thoughtful gift bag they left for us upon our arrival.
The responsiveness of the owners was quick and we truly enjoyed our vacation on Lake Anna.
