Three bedroom, log home built from hand hewn logs. Breathtaking view of 65 mile long Center Hill Lake and surrounding hills in the Heart of beautiful Middle Tennessee on 5+ acres very private gated property at the end of a small community road. Located near Hurricane Marina

A Lifetime movie was filmed here in 2003 and is now being shown. The name of the movie is 'No Regrets' so watch your TV listings for show times or order from Netflix. We have also had a recent Vice President and his family spend some of their vacation time here.

The home is a two-story, private dwelling with 12-foot high picture windows across the lake side of the house. The great-room has a large living, dining, and kitchen area with 24-foot vaulted ceilings, and a massive fieldstone fireplace. Great room has a new large sofa with built in cell phone chargers for relaxing while you watch 55 inch, QLED smart TV from the sofa.
One downstairs Twin bedroom with half bath. Upstairs has two bedrooms and a full bath.

One bedroom has a King bed and the other has a Queen bed. Aero Beds are available for two more guests--the kids love them! A large deck with rocking chairs, many marinas nearby for boating, water-skiing, and fishing. Water ski instruction is available at some docks. Pets are NOT allowed; no smoking. No children under 12, and no parties or weddings without owner approval.

Restaurants are at most marinas and in Smithville and Cookeville. Try the new restaurant at Hurricane Marina. Many types of boats are available for rent at most marinas. Hikers and nature lovers enjoy the numerous state parks nearby including 'Fall Creek Falls State Park', with the highest falls east of the Rockies, and 'South Cumberland State Park'. Hike to the many 'water falls' in this park and see the 'Great Stone Door.' Burgess Falls is also nearby and can be reached by boat on Center Hill Lake. Horseback riding is available in Cookeville. Don’t miss “Bluegrass Underground” in the Cumberland Caverns, plays in Crossville on
the Cumberland Plateau. Also Smithville Jamboree 4th of July week. In late October, when the leaves are beautiful, go “Off the Beaten Path”, a
great way to Christmas shop, beautiful works of art available, or you can enjoy a great fire in the fireplace or both!

For country music fans, Nashville is less than an hour's drive. Appalachian Center for Crafts is only three miles. For those who like to antique there are many shops in the area. Cookeville is only 20 minutes away and has many large chain stores and restaurants.

This was our first time booking with VRBO. The booking was flawless, communicating with the Host was super easy and they were very quick to reply whenever I had a question. The location of the cabin was crazy beautiful! I could have just sat on the outside porch in the rocking chair forever...! Weather was gorgeous on the dates were there...The kitchen was absolutely HUGE and well stocked with everything we needed...the beds were very comfortable. The fireplace was beautiful, warm and welcoming...being from Florida, it was such a treat to sit by the fire and enjoy the peace and quiet...many times I would sit out on the back porch and you would hear nothing but crickets...no loud noises, no sirens, nothing! I was in heaven. I have never seen so many stars in the sky either! Gorgeous....we also got a chance to use the gas grill, it worked beautifully....the Host graciously offered early check in as well, a definite bonus...getting to the cabin took us through a beautiful neighborhood, the neighbors were nice and quiet and the cabin was behind a gate...If I had a question, I was able to reach out to Maudine and the couple of calls I made to her with questions were answered promptly...thank you Maudine! The cabin was very rustic, old fashioned and true country decor...the staircase was absolutely gorgeous...but the thing that sold me was the VIEW....We all enjoyed our stay!

Super easy to access, ample parking, and you can't find a better view of Center Hill Lake anywhere else - absolutely gorgeous. We spent most of our time on the back porch every morning and evening soaking in the views.

Enjoyed our long weekend stay at Center Hill Lake in this home with a gorgeous view. Arrived after dark and glad we didn't wander around the property - it is at the tip of a peninsula with steep hill on three sides. It made for gorgeous views of the lake and bridge. Had a weird late spring snowstorm while we there and didn't get to enjoy the beautiful deck as much as we wanted to, due to the cold temps, but the huge windows overlooking the lake afforded us nice views from inside. We had a great time playing games as a family and a few brief hikes at nearby state parks and the Center for Appalachian Craft.

We very much enjoyed our weekend getaway at Center Hill Lake. The property is very well maintained and clean. The view is spectacular and just the kind of place we needed to unwind. Fully stocked kitchen and warm bedding added to our comfort. There was spacious parking. We brought our 17 ft boat and had no problems. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

Amazing!

We loved staying here! Beautiful views, and it was so easy to get into town and stop by Walmart for food and supplies! We visited 3 state parks- all within 35 minutes. Also a local farm and downtown- great location! You can see everywhere we visited on Instagram at @ socal_to_nashvilletn if you want to see all the fun things to do so close to this cute cabin! We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed a weekend here to celebrate my mother in law’s 80th birthday. After her spending most of the last year alone due to Covid, it was precious to be here all together to celebrate her life. The house is a blend of historical, antiques and modern comforts. The spectacular view all around the property has to be the best one on the lake, just breathtaking. Enjoyed a beautiful spring day in the rockers on the porch and around the fireplace at night. The view out the back windows first thing in the morning or at sunset is surreal. It is such an incredible place that I wish there was something there that shared the history of when it was built, by who and other incredible facts because it has to be one of the first places built on the lake in early 1900’s. It was just the most perfect place and I hope we will be back regularly. Loved getting to talk to Maudine too!

The cabin is pretty well-equipped pretty clean. If you like to cook make sure you bring all of your own spices and oils etc. but they have plenty of glassware dishware and cooking ware.

We really enjoyed staying at this property- we didn't leave the house all weekend! The views were absolutely amazing and the living area was perfect for hanging out, cooking, and watching football. We loved having morning coffee on the porch and grilling out front. Thanks for an amazing stay- we will definitely be back!

The house was unique and fun for a short stay. Lack of bathrooms. Only 1/2 downstairs and the upstairs bath was ok, the tub would not hold water to bath my grandson and when my husband and I went to shower neither of us could make the shower work. Taking a bath was not pleasant . I would not recommend it to others. Again, the view was the best, it couldn't be better.

You can't beat sitting on that porch and drinking coffee everyone morning. The view over looking the lake can't be beat. The cabin is secluded but close enough to anything you need. There is a Dollar Store at the end of the road and Smithville is only about 6 miles away. It was an enjoyable stay.

This cabin is amazing! Nothing short of perfection with the views and rustic feel. The fire place was perfect for the cool nights. Bill was awesome to work with on reservations. The house Keeper was the sweetest lady who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing!! We will for sure be back soon!! Location is perfect for short runs to the grocery store or Dollar store needs. The location for boat ramps are super close and convenient! The cabin feel with amazing antique decor makes it so warm and inviting. Luckily we love one county over! Makes this cabin my first option for a getaway!! Thanks Bill for allowing us to stay at this amazing cabin!!!

House is very nice and the view is gorgeous. Here Lakefront means the property is on the lake. You can not get to the lake from the house. The only way to get to the lakefront of the property is by boat and you still cannot step on the property from the lake. The pictures are accurate. Where you see grass is the only part of the 5-7 acres that can be accessed. The shower tile and soap trays were not very clean. The soap dishes all had previously used bar soap left out for us to use. There is no Washer, dryer or hair dryer in this house as listed in amenities. I looked after we got home and under general it says to ask owner about washer/dryer. Grill was dirty and and grill brush available was completely worn down to the plastic. Knowing all this now if we come back we will be prepared for the negatives.
