The house, the location and the sunsets were wonderful. We felt that we were transported back to old Hawaii, specially as we watched the outriggers catamarans, sailboats, and surfers go by the house. The owners were exceptional and we are excited about coming back next year.

From the location to the spacious layout and impeccable interior design this property is perfect.
If you're looking for a taste of old Hawaii with all of the modern amenities then look no further. Situated in a quiet enclave at the base of Diamond Head, the proprty is just a short stroll from Waikiki.
Our hosts were generous and gracious and always quick to respond if we needed anything.
We could not have asked for a better experience!
Highly recommended.

Its a a spacious, beautifully designed and comfortable oceanfront home in the perfect location below Diamond Head. It is set on a huge lot that is landscaped and very well maintained. There is a large, modern and perfectly provisioned kitchen, three large bedrooms each with large closets and full bathrooms. The bedrooms are separated from the kitchen and living room by a fine breezeway where you can relax and watch the surfing and boats and ships from the shade.
The owners are responsive and friendly and respect your privacy. A very memorable experience that brought a lot of happiness to us and our friends.

If anyone has been thinking about staying at this beautiful, historic home, please do not hesitate. You will not be disappointed. It took me several minutes when Maggie was showing me around, to pick my jaw up off the floor at the amazing layout, (hard to imagine but beyond the photos) breathtaking views of the ocean and beautiful historic architecture. Close to Waikiki, Zoo and Aquarium as well as Diamond Head, this retreat is fantastic. We were a group of friends who found ourselves drawn to being present for every sunset with cocktails (of course) and watching "Ocean TV" the surfers, fishermen, swimmers, SUPs, snorkelers, those hydrofoil things, it was all mesmerizing. The kitchen lacked nothing. The fact that there are 4.5 bathrooms plus outdoor showers is a bonus. AC in the living quarters made sleeping very comfortable and pleasant.
Maggie and Tim are both lovely and gracious. As I write this it is 18 degrees in Seattle. Needless to say, we would like to return soon!

A Stay in Paradise
Staying at Tim & Maggie’s place was truly like staying in paradise. The pictures online do not do the property justice. Everything was very clean, spacious and perfectly laid out. The kitchen is much bigger than it looks. They had every possible appliance, accessory, or utensil needed for cooking and eating (even plastic plates and cups for the kids!). There were also lots of outdoor accessories for any type of activity one’s heart desires, as well as some indoor games in case of rain.
Tim & Maggie were also very responsive if we needed anything during our stay. We will definitely be going back.
Thank you again for letting us stay at your place!

Paradise
Unbelievable location: nestled between two parks, minutes away by foot from Waikiki, the Aquarium and the Zoo, and yet serene and peaceful within the property, defying its proximity to downtown. The most gracious hosts, and most accommodating and friendliest owners. A self-contained resort-style historic residence with beautiful ocean views and direct beach access. The best-stocked kitchen. More full bathrooms than bedrooms (always a plus with families). There are not enough superlatives for this gem of a property. We were so privileged to chance having it available when we wanted to stay here. Thank you, Maggie and Tim, for sharing your beautiful home with our family!

Heaven - The pics don't even show it all!
As you can see looking at this picture, this home is AMAZING in every way. The owners take such pride in it and it shows. And the pictures are good, but when you get there you'll be blown away at how it's even prettier in person.
The kitchen is FULLY stocked. The property is so well maintained. It's RIGHT on the water. The mangos tree provides all your fruit for you. And, the home itself was just spectacular. Oh, and it has not one, but two dishwashers... yes! We needed them.
Thank you to Maggie and her husband (owners) for being flexible and so accessible.
Mahalo.

The Best Place on Oahu
There isn't much better than an oceanfront home. This historic home is a very special place, and was the perfect location for our first trip since the pandemic began. Close enough to Waikiki to connect with visiting family, but far enough from the bustle to truly enjoy the beauty and serenity of Hawaii. Wonderful hospitality, and everything we needed. With all there is to do on Oahu, we never wanted to leave the house! Mahalo!

Most beautiful spot on Oahu!
There is absolutely no better place to stay on all of Oahu! Hosts Maggie and Tim made our family vacation one to remember. Maggie went out of her way to show our kids the best spots to surf and even loaned them some boards! The house is just spectacular...you will not find a better home on the entire island! Views are breathtaking, house is sparkling clean with every amenity you could think of...we even had bikes to ride down to Waikiki and the Honolulu Zoo! Best location, close to downtown, Diamond Head and terrific restaurants! We will be back for sure. If you’re lucky enough to stay here, it will be a vacation you never forget!

Possibly the best rental in O'ahu
Tim and Maggie's home is beautiful, comfortable and perfectly appointed (organized kitchen with high-end appliances, sound system throughout the home etc). Great location in the shadow of Diamond Head: quiet and private yet just a short walk from Waikiki. The small, sandy beach out back was better than expected- very accessible and swimmable. Beautiful parks and open spaces in the neighborhood, walking distance to the zoo and aquarium. This place has it all and Tim and Maggie couldn't have been nicer or easier to deal with. I hope to stay here next time I'm in Honolulu.

A week in Paradise
Our stay and accommodations were outstanding. The property is simply amazing and the pictures only provide a glimpse as to the beauty of the property. We are frequent travelers and are accustomed to 4 and 5 star properties. The home has a rustic charm that in our minds well deserves a 5 star rating.

Superb family house.
We loved this property for our adult children. It had everything we needed. The kitchen was very well equipped, a BBQ too and we could sit and watch the surfers on the waves from our patio. Very beautiful spot. It was walking distance to Waikiki beach and all the shops. There were bikes we could use to get around too. This house would also be a great place for groups of friends with lots of space. Would thoroughly recommend this place. Mahalo Maggie.

A memorable family reunion vacation
The location of the estate is perfect. Waked up in the morning by the sounds of birds. Enjoy the wonderful views of the ocean. Steps down to the semi-private beach. Watch surfers and feel the sea breeze. Snorkel and watch tropical fishes in the shallow water. Walk to the parks and Waikiki beach. Our family had a great reunion vacation thanks to Tim & Maggie sharing their family estate with us. They are great hosts and the house has everything you including some local brew beers. Definitely recommended, hope to come back again in the future.

One of a kind 1935 Hawaiiana family home
If you are planning a stay in Honolulu, this is the perfect home. Not only is it true Hawaiiana, but it has also been upgraded with air-conditioning in the bedrooms and state of the art appliances in the kitchen. And the kitchen is fully stocked with every cooking utensil you can imagine. The owners also have a handful of beach cruisers, and it is an easy 1 mile bike to Waikiki.

A stellar property with wonderful hosts
My mom and I wanted a beachfront, beautiful and very chill house to call home base during our time in Honolulu, visiting friends and family. This was PERFECTION. Close to everything yet seemingly in another world. We will be back!

A picture perfect house
This was the perfect place to gather a large family. Walking distance to Waikiki as well as lots of property for people to spread out. To top it off the house is an amazing piece of historic Hawaiian architecture but updated for todays living. The whole house was well appointed. It was a treat to be able to stay here.

The house is absolutely breathtaking! Large, comfortable, updated, clean with all the comforts of home and then some. Tim and Maggie were great hosts, always in communication and responsive. We would definitely love to stay here again if we had the opportunity.

"Location, Location, Location!"
From sunset to sunrise this historic beachfront home was everything that we had hoped it would be plus more.
Owners, Tim & Maggie were at the property to welcome us on arrival making us feel right at home. Nothing was a problem from internet access, advice on local eateries and scenic routes to check out the beautiful beaches on the other side of the island. Oh! and the fresh fish caught by Tim, left filleted in the fridge made for a great BBQ lunch.
Both home and gardens are perfectly maintained with direct access to a private beach from the backyard. Garage is well equipped with bikes, table tennis, boogie boards and beach toys. Gourmet kitchen with a stocked pantry allowed for dining in or a walk to Waikiki to dine out.
If you’re looking for a truly relaxing island experience, private, yet central to everything, then we highly recommend this beautiful home.

Beautiful beachfront home in perfect locaction!
This is simply the best vacation home we have ever rented. Unbelievable piece of property right at the foot of diamond head. It is right on a very private beautiful beach. The owners could not have been more gracious, easy to deal with and concerned that our vacation was perfect. I have rented many houses on Oahu and this is by far the best. I could not give a stronger recommendation.
Aloha!

A Peaceful Paradise
Who would think that you could have such a peaceful spot to call home just minutes walking distance from downtown Waikiki? We couldn't have had a better location--we walked around Kapiolani Park and into Waikiki for breakfast. My husband enjoys running and ran around Diamond Head, leaving right from the house. Great restaurants just a walk or short drive away. Best of all was the quiet beach right out front, where we found ourselves the only people there much of the time. Tim and Maggie were terrific hosts--making sure we were comfortable and all our needs were met. The house was clean as can be with a lovely Hawaiiana feel. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. This is definitely our favorite place so far out of our many visits to Hawaii--we've found our spot and we'll be back!
