About this house rental
CITQ #300623
This unique red brick house is right in the earth of Vieux Beloeil, within walking distance of all the restaurants, bars, cafes, riverfront...
You’ll love the view of Mont Saint-Hilaire and the Richelieu river. It has high ceiling, huge rooms, in beautiful setting facing the river, with large porch around the house and nice private backyard with a small fireplace :-). It has perfect for big families with kids, family reunions, groups, associations of people, business travellers... Nearby are a marina, a chocolate shop, creperia, a brewery/pub, historic church, riverfront terrace, art gallery and shops, and much more to discover!
35 minutes from downtown Montreal.
Grocery store, liquor store, pharmacy, dollarstore, gas station, convenience store are all nearby within a 5 minute drive.
I have a small unit on the property (mostly used as office/storage), in a completely independant unit on the opposite side of the house. I do not share any accesses or areas with guests, and only interact upon request. I believe in letting guests have total privacy during their stay, but will be happy to come chat if asked or to bring around anything you need that could be missing :-)

Our stay in Beloeil in this fantastic home exceeded our expectations. We could not have asked for a nicer home in a better location. Beloeil is a charming town and a messy to walk. 5 stars all around!

We rented the big brick house for our wedding week, which we used as the home base for our family visiting from out of town. It was the most perfect place for a family reunion and our family absolutely loved it! It is in an amazing location, right in front of the Richelieu river, and my family members loved sitting on the big porch and looking out at the river. We also enjoyed taking many wedding photos at the river right in front of the house! We also appreciated how close it was to Vieux-Beloeil where we went out for dinner, for ice cream, grocery shopping etc. The house is also not very far from downtown Montreal, for anyone wanting to explore the city. The house had all of the amenities necessary for the large group and the many bedrooms and bathrooms were essential in order to ensure everyone had their own space. Communication with the owner Martin was flawless and he even let us visit the house beforehand so that we could ensure it would suit our needs. Everyone in my family had such an amazing visit and it was in large part because of this house. Without a doubt, we would rent this house again! Thank you so much Martin!

This beautiful, historic brick house was the perfect place for my wife’s family’s annual week-long gathering! Everyone remarked how the space and layout of the house, as well as the location, were exactly what we needed to have everyone enjoy themselves.

This was a perfect place for our family group to gather. We ended up going into Montreal less than we had planned because we had such a good time in the house and exploring Beloeil. Great food and croissants within walking distance! Everything was clean and comfortable and Martin was an extremely responsive host. Highly recommend!

Wonderful big house, just a few steps from the town center. Our only suggestion for future groups: note how to work the tv (we figured it out but it took 3 days.)

This was our first trip to Montreal and we liked the idea of staying outside the city. Old town Beloeil turned out to be perfect with excellent restaurants and friendly people.
We loved the historic house and would have liked more time to sit on the porch and enjoy the river view.
The house is spacious and clean, well stocked and comfortable. There were no surprises with the booking. The owner made the entire process easy and the house was exactly as I anticipated from the listing. A lovely stay! We'd recommend this home for any large group.

Property exactly as listed. Was wonderful! Lots of rooms and bathrooms and 2 very large rooms to more than accomodate meetings with 11 people. The town is so very beautiful and quaint and all in all about 40 minutes from the airport. Highly recommend if you're looking for a spot just a short drive away from downtown!

Perfect spot for our book group to get away for a long weekend. The house was roomy for 8 of us. We loved the porch and the cute picnic area across the street next to the river. Amazing view.
Was perfect spot for relaxing after a fun day in the city.
Everything was clean. Plenty of towels. Beds and linens were super comfy and cozy. The large dining room and living room were great for sharing food and conversation all together. We wished we had more time to explore the cute little town.

We were in town for a spa weekend with a group of longtime friends. We found this listing when looking for houses near the Forena Spa.
The location is in the center of the old Beloeil, a charming town on the water with a beautiful view of Mount St-Hilaire.
Boloeil has cute restaurants, cafes, wine bars and microbreweries.
The house itself is huge and gorgeous. A beautiful historical home with many bedrooms. Many of the bedrooms have their bathroom, which was very convenient.
There is a large living room, dining room, and kitchen with everything you need to cook at home.
The hot tub was very clean and a great way to wind down in the evening.
Martin was responsive, communicative, and kind.
I highly recommend this stay!

My husband and I brought our 3 adult children and daughter-in-law for Christmas from 12/20-12/28. The house is absolutely charming, and Martin is a great host and very responsive. The house is large enough that everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom and thensome! We had room to be alone and plenty of room to come together to cook, eat, play games and watch television. The hot tub was impeccable, and we enjoyed the fire pit as well. The kitchen had ample space and everything we needed including 2 refrigerators. Upon request, Martin kindly recommended La Mista for our Christmas Eve meal which was amazing, and he suggested Fuzion Chez Soi from which I ordered and took delivery of a complete Christmas Meal, so we could eat at home and not have to cook. It was perfect! Brasseur du Moulin is a great pub less than 2 minutes walking distance from the house, and we were "regulars" there for the time. Everyone in town was friendly, and all the restaurants were within a very quick walk. Getting to Montreal was easy. Vieux Beloeil is a lovely town with beautiful views. Unfortunately, it didn't snow during our visit, but you can never count on the weather! We were happy to just stay in the house and read, play games and visit, but it was easy to get out and do things as well. We loved it so much, we hope to visit in warmer months! Everyone in Beloeil was gracious and helpful and accommodated our lack of the French language! I highly recommend Martin's home!

This large historic house was perfect. The kitchen is well stocked and efficient. The two fridges gave us lots of room for all our needs. Despite being next to a busy road, the house was so extremely quiet on both levels. This large two-story house conveniently has washrooms in most of bedrooms. The bedrooms are very spacious and quiet, and the beds comfortable. We loved the hot tub too! The neighborhood is safe with restaurants and pubs within walking distance. We had a wonderful time in Montreal and would definitely rent this house again. Thank you, Martin, for being a great host. A perfect stay!

We had 7 adults stay for a long weekend. Great house with many bedrooms and bathrooms. Nice to come back to this home every night after a long day of touring Montreal and Quebec. Cute town with great restaurants. Ordered pizza our last night and finally used the huge dining room! Would definitely recommend staying in this beautiful home.

There were about 14 of us in total and all stayed so comfortably. The house is charming amd the town is cute! It was great to be able to go into the city and have a quiet retreat after.
Biggest shoutout to the host, Martin, he was so responsive. Especially when someone experience car troubles and had to stay an extra night. He was so easy to call and talk to about the issue and work a deal for that person to stay one more night.
Definitely recommend the stay :)

House was perfect for our family reunion! House is a little more dated than picture’s suggested, but still lovely. Plenty of room for everyone 😊

The home provided a great gathering place for the family . It was a great introduction to a "foreign" country for the grandchildren who had never been outside the U.S.A. The grandchildren had plenty of space to spread out and play. The hot tub was well-maintained and was great fun to use when it was snowing. The grandchildren used the nicely sized back yard to build competing snow forts for the snowball wars. Martin, the host was always responsive and pleasant, even when we locked ourselves out of the home shortly after checking in and he had to make a trip back to the house to let us in. Watch the back door, it can be locked with a push button. Winter snow was wonderful, since even if weather was bad, it was an easy walk to find someplace to eat.

Really charming home overlooking the Richelieu River. Host Martin was very helpful and accommodating. Lots of nice restaurants in the area, but brush up on your French! No American cash accepted anywhere (fine by me - just FYI) A couple of good grocery store options near by too. About 35 min car travel to Montreal and about 2:15 to Quebec City. Everyone was friendly and courteous. We loved our time in the home and about- hopefully you will as well.

We held a family get-together at Martin's place in Beloeil and the property worked out perfectly for us. There is plenty of space, lots of bedrooms and an expansive porch. The house is in a great location, on the river within walking distance of several charming restaurants.
The weather during our stay was great so we made extensive use of his backyard and hot tub.
Martin's communication was perfect. I would highly recommend staying at this property.

Fantastic location!
We loved sitting out on the front porch, enjoying the view of the river and the mountain. The house is right on the main road, just steps from the lively town center with its fantastic restaurants. Martin was a wonderful host. The hot tub was fun for the kids and extremely clean and well maintained - much nicer than most hot tubs at rental houses!

Excellently located century home
Our stay was wonderful, simply put. The house is large, very spacious rooms, fabulous location in Old Beloeil with ample restaurants to choose from. Only a short drive and you’re in Montreal with so much to visit, one week wasn’t enough.
Our host was so attentive to every need and so quick to be on hand. Thank you very much!
I do believe this may be the first VRBO property that I would actually revisit!
5 stars and more.

Wonderful stay
We were a group of seven adults and six kids, and we all really enjoyed this beautiful property in Beloeil!
The beds were comfortable, the space ample, the waterview stunning, and the hot tub much appreciated.
This property had both historical charm and modern amenities. What more could you ask for? Highly recommended!

The view, the porch, the location!
Location & house are wonderful for gathering. A picturesque town with a dozen or so REALLY good restaurants within a 5-minute walk. The host Martin is very helpful and had great suggestions. Stayed for a week and it was a perfect mix of relaxation and activities. The perfect place to enjoy Vieux-Beloiel!
The house is quiet and comfortable (the beds!).
Weekends are great for people watching as yachts and luxury cars with their characters parade past the veranda and people gather on the river bank to enjoy the view and breeze.

We were a large group and this chalet perfectly accommodated everyone. We were all very pleased by how beautiful and clean the house is. Our group also appreciated how accommodating and easy to reach Martin has been from the booking stage up until our check-out. We will definitely be booking this chalet again in the near future!

Perfect Cottage Getaway
Martin is so easy to reach, very kind and so pleasant. The house is unique, with so much character and charm! We were a group of 8 and felt like there was tons of space and most of us had our own bathrooms!
The location is breathtaking. With a gorgeous waterfront you can walk to, sit and take in the beauty of Mother nature. If you're looking for food/dessert, there are many options within a 3 minute walk.

A gem of a place for a getaway!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is beautiful and very handy for walking to restaurants, shops, etc. Being right across the street from the river, the view was beautiful sitting out on the big front porch.
The house itself is a lovely restored heritage home and has all the basic amenties. The hot tub, hammock, and fire pit area were added bonuses. Having air conditioning was also a plus for the hot days we were there.
Martin was an excellent host with great communication. While we didn’t have a chance to meet, he was available and answered messages promptly. He willingly received a few suggestions and had already made plans to change a few things accordingly.
I’d highly recommend staying here and we hope to return at some point in the future.

We loved renting Martin’s place. Everyone had their own bathroom and comfortable bedrooms. The house is large and provided us with lots of space for the 9 of us. The kitchen has everything you need for a 3 day weekend. The atmosphere of the house gave us the warmth of our own family cottage. We would definitely come back. Thank you Martin!

My five college friends and I rented the home for our annual get together. The house was built in 1842 and the current owner has done a great job of updating the house while keeping its historic charm. We loved everything about it - the number of bedrooms and baths, gathering areas and well furnished kitchen. The location in Beloeil is perfect - such a quaint town with great restaurants. The owner, Martin, is quick to respond to every question or concern.
